Chapter 333 Antonio, You're a Jerk!
Antonio tightened his grip on the steering wheel, not wanting to recall that incident again. Those photos were like nightmares to him, memories he had no desire to relive.
"Let's not talk about the past, okay?"
Sarah was also on edge, sensing that something had transpired between the two men without her knowledge, and Antonio was withholding it from her.
Antonio was also starting to feel overwhelmed, gazing outside at the scattered lights. "Sarah, the past doesn't matter anymore. Whatever happened between you two, I don't care anymore. At least I now know that you rejected him today, and I can see that you're different from before—"
Before Antonio could finish his sentence, Sarah slapped him across the face. "Antonio, do you even know what you're saying?! How could you think of me like that?! What do you mean I'm different from before?! Did you think that I wouldn’t reject his advances, or there used to be something between us in the past?!"
The sound of the crisp slap deepened the gloom in Antonio's eyes. He looked at Sarah with bloodshot eyes, grinding his teeth.
After a moment, he couldn't hold back and let out a low growl. "What do you mean, what do I think? Isn't it obvious? You were with him before! Even after marrying me! The photos were sent to my phone! I chose to let it go, so why do you have to bring it up?!"
Sarah widened her eyes, staring at Antonio in disbelief. 'So... that was it. Asa must have sent some photos to Antonio, making him think I had an affair with him.
'How ridiculous!'
Sarah's fury boiled over as she snatched Antonio's phone from his pocket. She unlocked it swiftly and delved into his photo album, finding a hidden private album inside. "Antonio, unlock it for me. I want to see!"
Antonio turned his head away nonchalantly, but a subtle tremble betrayed his true feelings. He feared he might collapse if he spoke once more.
Frowning, Sarah attempted to unlock the album by entering several different birthdays, only to realize they were incorrect. After a moment of consideration, she entered the date when she and Antonio officially began dating.
The album unlocked, and a photo instantly appeared before Sarah's eyes...
Her hand trembled uncontrollably.
What was this?!
In the photo, Asa was tightly embracing a sleeping Sarah. Neither of them was wearing any clothes. It really looked like it was taken afterward...
She angrily tossed the phone back to Antonio. "So, you've been bothered by this one photo all these years, right?!"
Sarah choked back tears as she asked that.
"I said it! The past is in the past. I won't pursue it anymore, and I don't want you to ask about it again, okay!"
"So, even though we were married at the time, you concluded that I cheated on you based on this one photo, is that it?!"
"What?!" Antonio's chest heaved violently. "I don't want to talk about this anymore."
Tears streamed down Sarah's face as she pounded on Antonio frantically. "Antonio, you're such a jerk! I never did anything with Asa, not once! Do you not trust me at all?!
"I have no idea how this photo was taken, but I've never slept with anyone other than you!"
Antonio was shocked. "W-What did you say?!"
"Antonio, is this truly how you perceive me? For five long years, you've tormented me without once seeking my perspective, believing it to be noble to endure my humiliation?"
Sarah roared, "Even if you had just asked me once, or given me a little heads-up, I wouldn't have constantly defended Asa in front of you. None of this situation would have arisen between us, and we wouldn't be in this predicament!"
"How do you expect me to respond?!" Antonio broke down too. "You want me to confront the woman I love with a photo like this and ask her why she slept with someone else?"
