Chapter 309 Cold War Begins

The woman hurriedly pressed her daughter's head, wishing she could knock Sarah and Ethan's heads together. After ten minutes of continuous apologies, Emily burst into tears, and the woman turned pale.

Antonio was barely satisfied; he would never allow anyone to underestimate Sarah and Ethan Harper!

Ethan glanced at Antonio but quickly averted his gaze when Antonio lowered his head. He couldn't let Antonio see how pleased he was with his performance.

Finally, the noisy commotion ended, and the equestrian performance at the kindergarten was ready. The horseback riding instructor could tell that Ethan had experience and was exceptionally skilled. Naturally, he took the lead in the performance.

Antonio remained seated in the VIP stands, watching Ethan's impressive demeanor. He couldn't help but say, "Sarah, does Ethan really enjoy horseback riding?"

Sarah nodded, "Not just horseback riding. Ethan excels in many things."

Sarah felt extremely satisfied whenever she talked about this. Her three children were all outstanding.

Antonio pondered on this for a moment and didn't speak until the entire equestrian performance was over. "Sarah, why don't we buy the equestrian center? It would allow Ethan and Harper to have a more exciting time together."

Sarah furrowed her brow. "Even if he enjoys it, there's no need to buy it outright. They can come and play occasionally."

"No, that won't do," Antonio rebutted directly. "My son should have the best in the world. He can't keep waiting in line forever. With our own equestrian center, he can do whatever he wants."

"He's already enjoying it now, isn't he?" Sarah shook her head helplessly. "There's no need to buy the whole place. The children won't even play here more than once a year."

"If they can't play, it can stay empty. We can afford it," Antonio insisted, wanting to give his children the best.

He had always felt guilty, constantly wanting to bring all the good things to his children.

Sarah understood his intentions, but buying the entire equestrian center was unnecessary. It was exaggerated, and she was also worried it would foster a habit of extravagance and wastefulness in the children.

Occasionally coming here to play with other children would be sufficient, wouldn't it?

"It's not about affordability. It's simply not necessary to go to such extremes. I disagree," Sarah asserted.

Antonio sighed. "What's wrong with going to extremes? That's how I grew up."
Sarah was speechless, "Yes, you grew up in a wealthy household, but we are just ordinary people. There's no need."

Antonio felt a bit helpless. "That's not what I meant. Please don't misunderstand."

As he spoke, Antonio reached out to grasp Sarah's hand. Unbeknownst to him, Sarah merely wished to walk away at that moment. In an instant, Antonio's hand landed heavily on the back of Sarah's hand.

Surprised, Sarah turned back. "Did you... hit me? Just because I won't let you spend money? Are you out of your mind?

"Let go!"

Antonio was taken aback, hurriedly catching up, but Sarah didn't say another word to him along the way. Antonio felt like his sincere feelings were wasted and silently became annoyed.

Ethan had no idea what had happened. Normally, he wouldn't contribute to the atmosphere either, so he remained silent until they returned home.

"Ethan, Mommy will take you to bathe first, then we'll have dinner. I've ordered takeout." Sarah took Ethan directly to the bathroom.

This gave Brian, who had been sitting in front of the monitor, an opportunity!

He immediately opened his phone and ordered takeout.

Antonio opened his mouth as if to speak but ultimately remained silent. He sat on the couch, absentmindedly flipping through a magazine, though not a single word registered in his mind.

Not long after, there was a knock on the door. "Hello, is this Mr. Valencia? Your takeout has arrived."

Antonio opened the door and received the takeout. Initially, he was a little happy that Sarah, despite being angry, still remembered to order food for him.

But when he opened it... iIt turned out to be a mushroom set meal.

Thinking of what Sarah had said before entering the bathroom, Antonio became even more frustrated.

She knew he didn't like eating mushrooms, yet she still ordered a mushroom meal for him!

'Is she deliberately making things difficult for me? Is this necessary, just because I wanted to buy the center and she disagreed?'

Antonio threw the mushroom set meal onto the table.

Coincidentally, Sarah came out of the bathroom with Ethan and heard the sound of the takeout being thrown on the table. It made her even more furious.

'I even kindly ordered a steak for Antonio, but he didn't eat it and just threw it on the table! What is wrong with him!?'

Sarah slammed the door and went back to her room.

Was it really necessary to be so angry all because of a dispute?

Thus, the two of them began a senseless cold war.

Brian was extremely satisfied. He knew his act of switching the takeout would definitely play a role!
