Chapter 885 I'm Begging You!

Sarah stood up and pushed Francis's wheelchair out, saying, "Antonio had to step out for a bit. How about I take you for a walk?"

Although she said that, they didn't actually go far.

The garden was large enough that a casual stroll was sufficient to finish their conversation.

"I need to apologize to you first. Because of Ryan, you've had a lot of trouble. I don't know what's going on with him; he's been acting like a different person lately."

Speaking of Ryan, Sarah couldn't help but feel a bit melancholic, but she still shook her head and said, "Francis, it's not your fault. Ryan is my child, and I have an unshirkable responsibility for him. No matter how he is, as his mom, I won't give up on him."

Francis had only been back for a short while, so there was no need to apologize.

If anyone should be responsible for Ryan's upbringing, it should be Antonio.

Even though she said that, Francis still comforted her a bit and sincerely thanked her. "Thanks to you, Ryan has grown up so healthy and well-behaved over the years."

At this point, he suddenly laughed, "Although Ryan has hit his rebellious phase recently, I still believe he's a good kid. That's all thanks to you. I'll feel at ease if Ryan stays with you in the future."

Sarah stopped in her tracks, "Francis, what do you mean by that?"

Why did it feel like he was saying goodbye?

Francis didn't hide it and said directly, "This is what I wanted to talk to you about."

"The major development project has fully started, and I'll be going with the company's tech department."

"What about Guadalupe?"

How could Guadalupe let him leave?

"I'll have someone handle it, making him think I'm still in Capital City." Francis looked into the distance, his gaze so far away that it gave the impression he would never return once he left.

"When the time comes, I'll use the major development project to stage a fake death. But don't worry, my plan is very thorough and won't affect the project's progress or the company's interests."

Even though he had mentioned this before, now that it was really happening, Sarah couldn't help but feel a jolt in her heart. "Francis, have you discussed this with Antonio?"

They had already shared so much; there was no need to hide this, right?

Francis's eyes flickered slightly, "He doesn't know."

"Although Antonio knows everything I've been through, I still hope he doesn't know about the fake death. Only if he doesn't know will his reaction be genuine when he hears about my 'death,' and that will fool Guadalupe!"

"This..." Sarah was speechless with shock.

Francis was planning to hide such a big thing from Antonio.

"Francis, you've already come clean about so many things. Do you really want to hide this from him?"

Somehow, the more she thought about it, the more she felt a bad premonition. Shaking her head, she said, "I still think you should tell him. That way, he can help you, right?"

"Sarah!" Francis's voice was a bit heavier than before. "You don't understand Guadalupe at all! He's more twisted than you can imagine! You can't even fathom his methods! If he finds out I set him up, the entire Valencia Family will be destroyed!"

"Please, can you keep this from Antonio for now? I'll explain everything to him myself once it's over, okay?"

Francis's pleading tone was hard to refuse.

And he even mentioned the entire Valencia Family.

Sarah was deeply conflicted, but after a moment of hesitation, she nodded, "Alright, I won't say anything."

After discussing the main issue, they talked about some specific project details. Neither of them noticed a woman's face faintly visible through a window in the first-floor corridor.

Lisa watched the two of them outside, her mind racing.

What could they be discussing that they couldn't talk about at home?

They even went outside, looking so serious, as if they were discussing some secret.

A sudden flash of inspiration hit Lisa.

She had originally planned to drive a wedge between Sarah and Antonio, but she hadn't found an opportunity, so she had settled for targeting Francis.

Now that the opportunity had presented itself, she had no reason to refuse!

She coldly curled her lips and turned to go inside.

'This time, Let's see what Sarah can do!' Lisa thought.

Fifteen minutes later, Antonio had just returned and saw Lisa looking anxious. His heart sank, and he asked, "What's going on?"

"Mr. Valencia, Ryan has diarrhea. His face is pale from the pain! Should we take him to the hospital?"

That laxative worked really fast! Ryan had just drunk it a few minutes ago, and it was already taking effect!

Worried about Ryan, Antonio hurried to his room, asking, "Where's Sarah?"

At the mention of Sarah, Lisa's face showed a difficult expression, as if she wanted to say something but couldn't. "Mrs. Valencia..."

Before she could finish, Antonio had already entered the room.

Seeing Ryan's pained little face, Antonio's heart ached. He picked Ryan up, not caring about Lisa's expression, and said, "I'll drive Ryan to the hospital. You find Sarah and have the driver bring her to the hospital."

Lisa lowered her head, a gleam flashing in her eyes. "Yes, Mr. Valencia!"

Antonio didn't notice her odd behavior. He comforted Ryan softly and said, "By the way, also inform Francis."

With that, he put Ryan in the car, got into the driver's seat, and quickly drove out of the garage.

Watching him leave, Lisa's lips curled into a satisfied smile. She walked back inside, dialing a mysterious number on her phone.

When Sarah and Francis returned from their walk, they heard Lisa sobbing before they even entered the house.

They exchanged a glance, both looking concerned.

"What's going on?"

Lisa looked up in surprise, wiping her face, "Mrs. Valencia, Mr. Francis Valencia, you're finally back. Ryan has severe diarrhea, and Mr. Antonio Valencia has already taken him to the hospital..."

Sarah was shocked, her eyes full of worry, "How did Ryan suddenly get diarrhea?"

"I don't know." Lisa started to blame herself, tears streaming down her face.

Francis, annoyed by her crying, interrupted, "Alright, since Ryan is already at the hospital, he should be fine. We will go check on him. Don't worry."

Sarah added, "Yes, let's go quickly!"

As they turned to leave, Lisa's soft voice said, "I heard the nurse say Ryan is in ward 305. Mrs. Valencia, you're pregnant, so take it easy."

"Okay, thank you." Sarah thanked her and got into the car with Francis.

When they arrived at the hospital, they didn't call Antonio, thinking he might be busy with Ryan. They went straight toward 305.

The ward was quiet, with the bed in the distance covered by a curtain.

They naturally assumed Ryan was behind it.

Francis frowned, "Where's the nurse?"

Sarah was also puzzled, but the most important thing was Ryan. "Let's check on Ryan first."

She pushed the wheelchair over and pulled back the curtain, only to be met by a few small moths flying out, and landing on her neck.

"Ah!"

How could there be moths?
