Chapter 244 Getting Rid of Two Little Terrors

The villa was surrounded, and Sarah was nowhere to be found. Now, only Ethan could protect Harper!

'Mommy's phone couldn't be reached just now, so this situation is probably not simple!'

His expression became serious.

At this moment, Harper was still immersed in worry over Sarah's safety, anxiously wiping away tears. Ethan held her tightly, his brows furrowed.

Just then, Ryan heard the commotion and came down the stairs. Ethan's eyes brightened, and he quickly grabbed Ryan.

"Please help us! They must be targeting Harper and me!"

Seeing Ethan's serious expression and glancing at the scene outside, Ryan couldn't help but feel strongly uneasy.

“How do you want me to help you?”

He didn't know what to do or understand exactly what was happening, but he certainly didn't want Harper and Ethan to be in danger!

A few minutes later, Ryan walked out with determination, glaring at Lucien's butler.

Summoning his courage, he angrily questioned the butler, one hand clenched tightly behind his back, "This is my home. Why did you bring these people here? What exactly do you want to do?"

Knowing that Ryan was the Valencia heir, the butler dared not offend him and explained with a smile,"We specifically came to bring the two children to our old residence for a tea party. Your grandfather feels guilty for mistreating them last time and wants to show them a little kindness."

As the butler spoke, he gestured for the others to enter first.

Upon seeing the others about to move, Ryan's heart sank, and he shouted, "This is my home. Without my permission, how can you just come and go as you please?"

He quickly blocked the person who wanted to enter and angrily confronted the butler. His little chest heaved up and down, clearly showing his agitation.

Knowing about Ryan's poor health, the butler was afraid of scaring him and patiently replied, "We simply want to bring them over to sit and have some delicious food. Don't worry too much."

"They've already left, so there's no need for you to bring them. They're not even at home."

Seeing this, the butler glanced at the people around him.

Upon receiving the order, those people immediately rushed into the villa.

“I already told you they are not at home, why didn’t you listen? You insisted on searching inside!” Ryan angrily questioned the butler as the search party rummaged around without success. He kept an anxious eye on their movements and positions inside the villa, holding his breath.

Meanwhile, Ethan nervously hugged Harper in the underground wine cellar. Upon hearing the commotion outside, his expression grew even more tense.

"Did they search everywhere? Have you checked the cabinets and rooms?"

"We've searched everywhere, but still no sign..."

"Keep looking in other places!"

"Yes!"

Harper's tension reached its peak while listening to their faint conversation, and she fearfully grabbed onto Ethan's arm.

"Ethan..."

She whispered Ethan's name, and Ethan held her tightly, with a determined expression to protect her.

"Oh, did you search the cellar?" someone asked.

"I'll check!"

With the butler's question and the reply of the searchers, the sound of footsteps grew closer to the wine cellar.

Harper heard the door being pushed open and watched as the crack widened...

Harper and Ethan held their breaths!

Just then, someone exclaimed, "Oh no! Ryan's having an attack!"

At some point, Ryan suddenly clutched his chest and collapsed to the ground, his face contorted in pain.

Everyone had to stop their search because of Ryan's sudden illness and hurriedly returned to attend to him.

Ryan was Lucien's favorite, so if anything happened to him, these people definitely wouldn't have a good ending!

Ryan squinted his eyes slightly, sweat forming on his forehead.

"Ryan, what's happening? Sir, should we take him to the hospital?"

Ryan was incredibly tense, his little face pale. He worried about Harper but also feared being discovered by these people. When he saw them turning back to look for him, he became even more afraid of being exposed.

"Medicine."

He clutched his chest, incredibly weak.

The butler frowned as he watched this scene.

Whenever Ryan had an attack, he could barely breathe, let alone speak.

Every time, he would be sent to the hospital unconscious. But this time, he could still talk...

At a glance, the butler saw through Ryan's act.

'Even if it wis a ruse, if we continue the search, the commotion might really scare the child into falling ill.

'Besides, we have searched all around but found nothing. It's possible that the two of them really escaped, and Ryan is just buying time.'

The butler scanned the villa, a hint of a smirk flashing in his eyes.

"Bring Ryan's medicine and take him to the old mansion. There's a family doctor there, who can take better care of him. Then leave two people here to wait for the two children to return."

Inside the wine cellar, Ethan and Harper huddled closely together, afraid of being discovered.

Harper heard that the butler was taking Ryan away and became anxious, wanting to rush out.

Ethan immediately grabbed her and shook his head.

"Ethan, let go of me quickly! Ryan's going to be taken away because of us. I can't let him be in danger!"

"Harper, look at me, stay calm! The butler is taking Ryan away because he suspects we're still hiding in the villa. If he can't find us for a while, we shouldn't go out either. Besides, that old man is good to Ryan and won't harm him. Trust me, now our priority is to find the right opportunity to leave the villa without getting caught."

The more Harper listened, the more she felt it made sense, so she nodded quietly.

Therefore, until the butler was ready to take Ryan away, they didn't make any movements in the villa.

"Keep an eye on this place for me. The two little brats can't possibly survive on their own outside. If anything happens, immediately..."

The butler didn't continue speaking, but a fierce killing intent flickered in the depths of his eyes.
