Chapter 274 Why Did I Choose Someone Else Before?
"Heh, I told you before he wasn't a good person. Come, let's check the surveillance," Antonio said, pulling Sarah towards the control room.
After reviewing the footage, they found nothing suspicious. None of the cameras at the party had captured any suspect individuals. However, Antonio did notice something.
He saw Asa approaching Sarah at the party, but she tried to avoid him. Sarah even forcefully pushed Asa's hand away.
This made Antonio feel slightly relieved. He wanted to give the hotel's surveillance room a reward.
"Since that's the case, perhaps I was just overthinking?" Antonio sighed.
Sarah also breathed a sigh of relief, hoping that she was just overreacting.
However, when she finished speaking, there was no response. Sarah turned to look at Antonio, only to see a hint of a mysterious smile playing on his lips.
Curiosity got the better of Sarah, and she poked Antonio's waist with her hand. "Mr. Valencia, what are you thinking?"
Antonio seized the opportunity and pulled Sarah into his embrace, kissing her fiercely. "At least you know better now. Finally chose me, huh? I can't understand how you could be so bewitched by someone else before..."
Sarah blushed at his kiss but was also confused. 'What does he mean by "now"? How was I bewitched by someone else before?'
However, Sarah remembered another thing that piqued her curiosity. Before the party, Antonio had mentioned taking her somewhere.
"Antonio, where were you planning to take me before?" she asked.
Antonio snapped out of his thoughts. "You'll know when we get there. Let's go."
Sarah chuckled and agreed, and the two of them left together.
As they left the hotel, Asa emerged from the bushes in the shadows. He watched their car drive away with resentment, clenching his fist tightly before fiercely striking a tree trunk.
Sarah had become more vigilant. Luckily, he had noticed that Sarah had started recording on her phone before approaching her. Everything would have been ruined if he had gone closer and been caught on camera.
Asa had planned everything meticulously, even tricking Mr. Baron into traveling there to divert Antonio's attention. But in the end, he accomplished nothing.
However, this failure didn't discourage Asa. Instead, it ignited a burning desire for victory within him. He would patiently await the right moment for his next move.
"Asa, how do you always manage to mess up?" Serene's voice came through on the phone, her tone scolding. This only fueled Asa's already raging anger.
"Ms. Jerret, focus on yourself for now!" Asa berated her, his teeth clenched menacingly. The image of those two figures cuddling together earlier deeply stabbed at his eyes.
Asa's expression turned even more sinister and ruthless. "I won't let them off the hook, absolutely not."
On the other end of the phone, Serene listened to Asa's tone and coldly hung up. She had a gun now, so there was no rush.
…
Meanwhile, Antonio, filled with deep hatred, had already parked the car by the sea.
The moonlight in the midst of summer was pure and flawless, with specks of starlight shimmering on what should have been a dim beach.
"So beautiful!"
Sarah got out of the car and walked towards the beach in awe. She had only seen pictures of the blue starry beach online and never had the chance to see it in person. Unexpectedly, Antonio had brought this beach right in front of her.
"Be careful not to catch a cold." Antonio took off his jacket and draped it over Sarah.
"Do you like it?"
Sarah looked back, her eyes clear in the moonlight, catching the immense tenderness in Antonio's eyes.
Sarah smiled and nodded." Yes, I do."
Antonio didn't let go of her hand. He brushed away a strand of Sarah's hair that fell on her forehead and looked into her pure, enchanting eyes. Those eyes had appeared in his dreams on many nights.
But back then, he couldn't touch or see clearly and would wake up with wet corners of his eyes and constantly calling Sarah's name.
After waking up, he could no longer fall asleep.
Later, meeting her again and being able to have her again was something Antonio didn't dare to think about. Not to mention holding her tightly like this now.
"Sarah, I love you."
As soon as Antonio spoke, a cluster of splendid fireworks suddenly rose in the ink-blue sky. Then, colorful fireworks burst open randomly, turning the night into almost daylight.
Sarah was overjoyed. She playfully looked at Antonio and couldn't help but tiptoe, deepening her kiss on his slightly cool, thin lips.
The passion in Antonio's eyes blazed, and he eagerly responded to this warm kiss. He never wanted to let go of her hand again, not allowing anyone to snatch her away from him once more.
Antonio directly carried Sarah to the car, leaned over, and a soft touch accompanied his hand.
Sarah murmured uncontrollably, her face flushed as she watched Antonio's Adam's apple bobbing up and down.
The ambiguity broke the taboo, and Antonio almost lost control of his burning desire. "Sarah, I..."
