Chapter 589 Into Benjamin's Arms

If it weren't for the overly intimate gesture, Sarah probably wouldn't have given it too much thought.

But now, the two were too close to each other, just an inch away.

"Benjamin. Let go of me!"

Sarah's face under the lights became increasingly red, and she didn't know if it was because of anger or something else.

As a result of her words and struggle, Benjamin suddenly remembered the intimate scenes between Sarah and those other men, which made him feel displeased.

'What exactly does this woman mean? Why is it that she can be close to others but not mehim?'

'In theory, Ihe looks exactly like her husband, so shouldn't she be unable to resist herself from mehim?'

But as this thought occurred to him, Benjamin felt a sinking feeling in his heart. 'Am IIs he going crazy? Am IIsn't he just willingly becoming a substitute for this woman?'

An involuntary chill swept across Benjamin's face as he pulled her forcefully toward him. The unique fragrance emanating from her body enveloped his senses, igniting a restless stirring within him.

"Sarah," his voice, magnetic and charged, resonated with an electric intensity. Even the mere utterance of her full name sent tremors through Sarah's heart.

Yet, what ensued was a more powerful surge of anger. An involuntary coldness appeared on Benjamin's face, and he forcefully pulled her towards himself. The special fragrance from her body entered his nostrils, making him feel a stir of restlessness.

"Sarah."

His magnetic voice carried an electric current-like sensation, and even calling her by her full name had a special flavor that made Sarah's heart tremble.

But what followed was an even stronger surge of anger.

'What does this man take meher for?' Sarah pondered.

Watching Benjamin get closer and closer, Sarah suddenly raised her hand and slapped at him!

The man reacted quickly and dodged.

And precisely because of this, Sarah successfully created some distance between them. She was so angry that her breathing became rapid.

"Benjamin, you're drunk! But even if you're drunk, you shouldn't behave inappropriately like this!"

It's simply absurd!

Benjamin saw her retreat such a distance, and the coldness in his blurry eyes grew heavier. The words that came out of his mouth were filled with a drunken haze, "Is this how I'm being out of line?"

Why was it that she could be so close to other men?

Was it only with him that it was considered out of line?

Was he really that pathetic? That she couldn't even look at him?

Sarah's anger grew as she heard his light and casual tone. "Benjamin! Snap out of it!"

She took a deep breath and glanced at the phone next to her.

Leaving Benjamin alone here wasn't an option. She would have to arrange for Isabella to come pick him up.

Having made up her mind, Sarah quickly picked up his phone, which, surprisingly, had no password.

'Perfect!; She dialed Isabella's number., "Ms. Moore, Mr. Harrington has had too much to drink. Could you please come pick him up at Mystic River Tavern? Thank you."

Before the other person could react, she hung up.

When she came back, Benjamin was still in the same position as before.

He was clearly drunk, his eyes like a predatory wolf, with a hidden restlessness that was heart-stopping, as if he could lose control at any moment.

Sarah looked around and saw the ice bucket on the table, still emitting cold air. Without much thought, she picked it up and stuffed it into Benjamin's arms.

"If you are truly intoxicated, then let the ice wake him up!"

In reality, she really wanted to pour the ice over this man, but the last shred of reason held her back. After all, he was the client!

Benjamin didn't say anything, his hidden eyes dark and unclear.

A cool sensation flowed through his hand as if it could temper the heat in his heart. He didn't even understand himself.

Why did he have such a strong desire for this woman?

When did it all start?

Was it because of the slight admiration that emerged just now?

Benjamin furrowed his brow, clutching the ice bucket, his restlessness suppressed. He appeared like a homeless drunkard, with a hint of resentment evident.

Sarah bit her lip, uneasy with the anger she couldn't express.Benjamin furrowed his brow, clutching the ice bucket and suppressing the restlessness within him. He truly looked like a homeless drunkard.

And there seemed to be a hint of resentment.

Sarah bit her lip, feeling uncomfortable with the anger that couldn't be released.

'Forget it. Why bother with a drunkard!' Sarah thought.
'When he sobers up, I'll settle the score with him and squeeze out more profit from his company!'

Sarah made up her mind, put her phone aside, picked up her bag, and left the private room after briefly explaining to the waiter at the door.

Not long after, Isabella arrived in a hurry.

When she entered the room, Benjamin was lying sideways on the sofa, one hand covering his forehead, almost half of his face hidden.

"Benjamin!" she exclaimed in worry, taking a quick stride towards him.

The sound of her high heels made the crease on his forehead deepen.

Isabella reached out to grab his arm., "Why did you drink so much? Are you okay?"

"Um," Benjamin replied heavily without looking at her. He stood up, picked up his suit jacket, and walked out quickly, barely maintaining his balance.

Isabella's hand reached out, grasping empty air. She was momentarily stunned, then hastened to catch up with him. "Be careful, Benjamin!"

However, he paid her no heed as he strode out of Mystic River Tavern.

A driver, stationed on the side of the road, promptly opened the back seat door upon seeing their approach.

Benjamin settled into the car, closing his eyes as if in sleep. His slender fingers pinched his temple, betraying his discomfort.Isabella's hand grabbed empty air, stunned for a moment, then quickly caught up with him, "Be careful, Benjamin!"

The man in front ignored her and walked straight out of Mystic River Tavern. The driver had been waiting on the side of the road and quickly opened the back seat door when he saw the figures not far away.
Benjamin sat in the car and closed his eyes, pretending to sleep. His slender fingers pinched his temple, looking very uncomfortable.

"Benjamin. Where does it hurt?" Isabella's voice was very cautious.

This was the first time she had seen this man drunk, afraid of making him unhappy.

She first took a bottle of mineral water from the side, unscrewed it, and directly approached the man's lips., "Do you want some water?"

Benjamin's movements paused for a moment. The moment his eyes opened, a charming light revealed.
He took the water and took a sip, with a hint of rosy glow on his thin lips.

Isabella's heart couldn't help but speed up.

"Benjamin, do you have a headache?" She put the water aside, naturally moved closer to him, and gently massaged Benjamin's temples. Her intentionally soft voice carried a magical power, raising the temperature in the narrow car.

Isabella nearly pressed her entire body against him, and the fragrance enveloping her seemed bewitching. Her shy countenance appeared hazy to Benjamin as if it belonged to another woman.

His deep gaze suddenly darkened.Isabella almost pressed her whole body against him, and the fragrance on her body seemed to bewitch people. That shy little face fell into Benjamin's eyes, appearing hazy... as if it belonged to another woman.
His deep eyes suddenly sank.

"Benjamin, are you feeling better now?"

Isabella pressed his temples for him, her soft and light voice like an orchid. Seeing that he didn't respond, she slowly stopped her movements and stepped back slightly, just in time to meet Benjamin's deep and fiery gaze.

This was a good opportunity.

Isabella bit her lip, gathered courage, tilted her head up, closed her eyes, and slowly leaned in to kiss his thin lips.

As the distance became closer, the unfamiliar scent of perfume became clearer.

Benjamin felt the gentle breath like feathers falling on his skin, but it wasn't the feeling he remembered. His heart sank, and he abruptly turned his head to the side.

'But memories? Where did my his memories come from?' he wondered.

He had already smelled this scent of perfume for over three months. Why did he still resist it deep down?
