Chapter 186 Even if You Give Everything
Sarah was a bit surprised by the passage of time. She only remembered that they hadn't seen each other in a long time, but she never expected it to be a whole six years.
"Time flies, huh? You're already a vice president now. Please take care of your junior in the future!" Sarah joked, lightening the inexplicable feeling of sadness.
Asa smiled and reached out his hand to touch her head, but suddenly remembered something and withdrew his hand. He casually asked, "How about we have dinner together tonight? Let's celebrate our reunion."
"Well... let's do it another day. I have something to do today," Sarah replied.
Sarah hadn't forgotten that today was her first day at work, and Antonio was supposed to personally pick her up after work.

After finishing their work handover, Sarah went to the pantry and overheard several colleagues discussing the incident ten years ago when the new female CEO of J&K Group was brought back by the chairman.
Sarah treated it as gossip she heard in passing. After all, she was just an assistant, and the CEO... they shouldn't have much contact.

Serene came here in person, led by James, and arrived at the president's office.
"Mr. Valencia, I am Serene, the new CEO of J&K Group," Serene said, looking at the cold man across from her, as she reached out her hand and introduced herself.
Antonio glanced at her briefly, shook her hand lightly, and immediately let go. "I wonder what Mr. Jerrett wants to talk to me about?" he asked indifferently.
He wasn't particularly interested in cooperating with J&K, but he agreed to this meeting solely for the sake of Chairman Branden Jerrett's face.
"Regarding the collaboration with the Valencia family's hot springs hotel, I believe Mr. Valencia should be aware... My father should have discussed this project with you before," Serene said.
Antonio didn't speak, he just absentmindedly tapped the table with his hand, seeming lost in his own thoughts.
Serene sat down on the nearby sofa, maintaining a confident attitude, while her gaze fell on the man's slender fingers.
There was a ring on his ring finger, a wedding band.
"J&K wants to collaborate with the Valencia family, so there must be some sincerity," Antonio said, retracting his hand and looking at Serene with dissatisfaction.
Serene quickly averted her gaze and said each word clearly, "Do you think this contract is sincere enough, Mr. Valencia?"
Her secretary handed over the contract, James stepped forward, and passed it to Antonio.
The man glanced at it a few times, then casually tossed it onto the table, making a sound that was neither too loud nor too soft, and his tone was cold, "Is this J&K's sincerity? They seem to underestimate the Valencia family."
Serene raised an eyebrow, feeling somewhat surprised. "Mr. Valencia seems to want too much. This is a collaboration worth three billion. Are you sure you don't want to take a closer look?"
"Mr. James,” James replied, observing Serene with caution.
Serene nodded with a smile, "Nice to meet you, James. I am Serene Valencia, CEO of J&K Corporation."
James couldn't help but feel a wave of surprise upon hearing the name. J&K Corporation had been making waves in the business world recently, and the CEO's reputation preceded her. He quickly recovered his composure and extended his hand politely, "Nice to meet you too, Ms. Valencia."
Asa, feeling a bit left out, introduced himself, "I'm Asa Donat, a senior colleague of Sarah's."
Serene's eyes flickered with recognition as she glanced at Sarah, "Ah, Sarah, we had a brief encounter earlier. I hope we can discuss matters further. Please send me your contact details at your convenience."
Sarah nodded politely, "Of course, Ms. Valencia."
With that, Serene bid them farewell and entered her car, leaving James, Asa, and Sarah standing outside the office building. James couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. The Valencia family and J&K Corporation were both formidable players in the business world, and it seemed that interesting times lay ahead.
"Jerrett, this is my junior from college and our new assistant, Sarah. And Sarah, this is the CEO of the company," Asa introduced.
Upon hearing Asa's introduction, Sarah was stunned. She never expected that the beautiful lady in front of her would be the protagonist of the J&K Group, the CEO.
"Hello, Mr. Jerrett!" Serene replied with a smile. Her gaze casually swept over Sarah, but then she noticed the ring on her finger.
In that instant, Serene's expression froze. This ring seemed somewhat familiar...
"Sorry, senior, I won't disturb you and Mr. Jerrett's business discussion. I'll leave first," Sarah said somewhat embarrassedly.
Being the vice president and the CEO, she really didn't want to become the center of attention in the company tomorrow!
After Sarah smiled and gestured towards the two of them, she left.
Once they were a distance away, Serene noticed that Asa's gaze was still fixed on the departing figure. She curled her red lips and smiled, "Mr. Donat seems to like her, huh?"
