Chapter 321 Lost 300,000 in One Night?

Sarah sighed and pointed at the man lying on the bench by the roadside. "It's him."

Antonio furrowed his brows. He had thoroughly investigated Victor's background—unemployed, addicted to gambling, often seen drunk as a skunk.

"What's the matter?" Antonio got out of the car with Sarah.

"Who knows?" Sarah walked over, frowning, and patted Victor's arm. "Wake up, what are you doing sleeping here?"

"What the fuck?! Who disturbed my sweet dream?" Victor opened his intoxicated eyes, and it wasn't until he saw the person in front of him that he fully regained his senses.

"Isn't this my precious daughter? You finally came back. Do you know how long your father has been waiting for you?"

Sarah avoided Victor's reaching hand with a hint of disgust. "Why are you here? What are you waiting for me for?"

"Look at how you're talking. What can I do after all? Obviously, I was missing my precious daughter." Victor rubbed his palms together, his eyes shining with greed.

Sarah knew it well. "You came here for money, didn't you?"

"How can you say that it's about money? You're my daughter, and what's yours is mine, right?" Victor smirked, accompanied by his greasy and boozy breath, which was truly nauseating.

However, Sarah had no choice. After all, he was her biological father, and she had to take on the responsibility of supporting him.

"Here's $30,000. Deducting the $20,000 debt you owe and leaving you with $10,000 for pocket money. Take it." Antonio took out a prepared bank card and handed it to Victor.

As soon as Victor saw the money, his eyes immediately lit up. He grabbed the bank card without waiting for Antonio's words to finish.

"I knew you wouldn't abandon me. Thank you, my precious daughter." Victor held tight to the bank card, fearing it would be snatched away.

Antonio's brow furrowed. "The password is my mother-in-law's birthday."

"What is your mother's birthday?" Victor asked, suddenly feeling that he had made a slip of the tongue. He quickly explained, "It's just that I've been drinking too much and have a bad memory. It's just that so many years have passed, and I can't remember some details."

Sarah felt a sourness in her heart. The man who had always held a place in her mother's heart had already forgotten her birthday.

Sarah took out a pen and wrote her mother's birthday in Victor's palm. "Find a decent job quickly. Stop wasting your time and money on gambling, or I won't give you any money next time."

"Don't worry, as long as I pay off the debt, I'll be able to earn this money back soon. Once I win big at the casino,I'll be giving you money to spend in the future." Victor casually put the bank card in his pocket and left arrogantly.

"This is the last time." Sarah watched the unreliable figure depart and said bitterly.

Sarah didn't mind giving away money to her father, but she was afraid that Victor was a hopeless gambling addict who would only incur further debts. In other words, he was a bottomless pit that could never be filled.

"Don't worry, if it doesn't work out, I'll find someone to keep an eye on him." Antonio understood Sarah's concerns. He shared the same worries.

No matter how much money he spent on his father-in-law, it would never be enough.

'Although giving him money is still within reason, I'm afraid no one will be able to afford it if this person continues to gamble and get drunk.'

"We'll see," Sarah felt a bit weary. "Let's go back first. Don't you have a seminar to attend tomorrow? You need time to prepare for that."

Antonio looked at Sarah with concern. "I won't be in the office tomorrow. Why don't you take a break at home? These past few days have been exhausting, and you still need to make time to accompany Mr. Jerrett."

"I'll still go. I haven't been to the office for a while, so I should at least show up," Sarah smiled faintly and pulled Antonio back home.

The next day, Antonio left early in the morning. This seminar was important, and he couldn't afford to be absent or late.

Sarah went to the company alone. To her surprise the receptionist rushed out as if she had seen a savior before she even entered.

"What's going on? Why are you in such a panic?" Sarah asked, puzzled.

"Madam, there's a man claiming to be your father at the front desk. He refuses to leave and insists on seeing you." The receptionist looked troubled.

Sarah's gaze tightened. They had just given him money yesterday, so why was he there again today?

She briskly walked into the company and saw Victor with his collar open, arguing with the security guards on the ground. He looked completely drunk.

"What are you doing here?" Sarah walked over and casually threw her coat on Victor.

"See, everyone? She's my daughter, the CEO's wife. They want to throw me out! Do they know who I am!" Victor exclaimed, clinging to Sarah for support.

Sarah felt annoyed. "Why are you here? If you have something to say, say it quickly and leave."

Victor chuckled. "My daughter, your father ran out of money, thanks to those deceitful bastards!"

"We just gave you money yesterday! It's only been one night!"
