Chapter 447 Love Only, No Children

"Um... I think I need to go to the bathroom," Sarah said with a sudden sense of unease.

As expected, she emerged from the bathroom amidst the sound of flushing, looking at Antonio with a half-smile.

"Honey, we're out of pads at home."

Antonio closed his eyes tightly, finally slapped his forehead, and reluctantly got off the bed. He could only resign himself and say, "I'll go buy them for you."

"Thank you," Sarah forced back her smile. Why did this idea turn out like this?

The supermarket was just outside the villa area, and Antonio didn't bother changing clothes before heading out.

It wasn't too late, and quite a few people were queueing up to buy things.

Clad in his pajamas, Antonio walked in, looking even more handsome after his shower. Even in his loungewear, he exuded the aura of a model.

As Antonio entered, he attracted the attention of several women. Amidst their admiring glances, he made a beeline for the women's section.

These people's gazes towards him were full of curiosity and envy. Who was the lucky woman who not only had such a handsome husband but also had him help with buying sanitary pads?

Antonio paid no attention to the stares and calmly selected various types of sanitary pads. His gaze then fell upon the small box labeled "Extra Large" beside the counter.

He waved his hand, saying, "I'll take all of these, please."

The cashier blinked, "Sir, are you sure?"

'These two things... Can they really be used together?'

"I'm stocking up," he said confidently, as he displayed his gold card.

The cashier fell silent and swiftly packed the small boxes on the counter, along with the stack of sanitary pads, just enough for him to manage a box.

Back at home, Sarah was momentarily stunned. She had only asked him to buy one pack of sanitary pads, so why did he come back with a whole box?

"Why did you buy so many?" she asked as she unpacked the box, only to find the colorful small boxes underneath.

She looked at Antonio speechlessly, wanting to ask him, "What is the point of all this?"

"It's been five years," Antonio answered, evading the question.

Instantly, Sarah's cheeks turned red, and she stammered, "T-That's not necessary, buying so m-many?"

"Honey, you know my capabilities, don't you? Or do you want to have another one?" He was willing but still cared about Sarah's body.

The matter of having another child could wait a bit longer. Sarah's face turned red, and she said, " Enough already, you're being annoying."

"Oh, it seems I misunderstood. Then let's not have a child for now," Antonio said, his words hiding an underlying meaning as he smiled.

Sarah tapped him awkwardly.

Suddenly, the four children heard voices and emerged from the room.

Harper, with her keen eye, spotted a box at Antonio's feet. It was a temporary box provided by the cashier, adorned with snack signs.

"Daddy, did you go to the supermarket?" Harper asked as she walked over, about to check what good things he had bought.

Seeing this, Antonio immediately picked up the box. "There's nothing. It's too late, Daddy didn't buy you any snacks. Daddy will buy them for you tomorrow, alright?"

Harper pouted. "But I clearly saw chewing gum inside."

Antonio almost choked on his saliva and said, "That was not chewing gum. Go back to bed, what time is it?"

Harper made a 'tsk' sound twice, then turned to the three little boys and said, "Oh well, let's go back to sleep quickly. Some people just made up, they only have love, no children. How stingy!"

"It's alright, Harper. I will buy it for you tomorrow. We don't want their love fruit." Brian waved his hand generously.

The four children chattered and returned to their rooms, leaving Sarah smiling as she watched their figures recede.

With her laughter, Antonio also couldn't contain himself.

Their eyes met, and their fingers intertwined.

He brought Sarah a cup of hot brown sugar water and prepared various ibuprofen tablets and warming patches for her. Then, he lay back in bed.

"Feeling a bit better?"

In truth, she didn't experience much menstrual pain. Yet in this moment, she revealed a glimpse of her feminine side, leaning gently against Antonio's shoulder as she whispered, "It's a bit painful."

Antonio rubbed his palms together to warm them, gently massaging her lower abdomen. "Close your eyes, sleep comfortably, and tomorrow morning you'll be fine."

Sarah nodded with a smile, snuggling up to Antonio's side, and falling into a deep sleep.

Only when she was completely sound asleep did he stop moving.

At that moment, the satisfaction in his heart couldn't be described. His wife and children were by his side, and everything was slowly getting better.

Antonio looked at the ceiling with the sleeping Sarah in his arms, reminiscing about the events of the past few days.

Although they had already opened up to each other, the matter of Victor was definitely still fresh.

Victor's inexplicable appearance and suspicious death suggested a perpetrator with intimate knowledge of Sarah's life. This knowledge allowed them to skillfully orchestrate Victor's involvement.

But who was the person behind it all?

After all, Sarah had never made any enemies.

Brian suffered from insomnia in the children's room. He listed various candidates, each with a connection to Sarah, whether good or bad.

Even Alex and Sofia were included in his thoughts.

Brian went through them in his mind, ultimately finding that no one remained. After all, these individuals had no motive to harm Sarah. What could they possibly gain from seeking out a false father for her?

Both the father and son sat in their respective rooms, brows furrowed as they simultaneously thought of Victor's damaged phone. If they could crack it, maybe they would find some clues.

Late at night, father and son simultaneously rose from their beds and headed to the living room. Upon catching sight of each other, they exchanged surprised glances.

"Why aren't you sleeping?" they both asked simultaneously before falling silent.

Brian was the first to speak, "I can't sleep. I always feel like there's a big secret behind Victor, so I wanted to take a look at his phone."

Antonio smiled. "You're thinking the same as me."

Brian's eyes lit up, a genuine joy.

"Come on, let's go to the study. We don't want to wake Mommy and your siblings."

Brian nodded and followed him to the study.

Victor's phone screen was already shattered, so Brian connected it to the computer before turning it on.

Suddenly, Antonio remembered that the surveillance camera in the study hadn't captured anything.

Upon reflection, shouldn't there have been some record of it?

Perhaps it was Sarah who assisted Brian in covering his tracks.

Antonio found the situation somewhat amusing. Initially aiming to catch a thief, he instead found his own eldest son. It could be viewed as a blessing in disguise.

He didn't say much and continued discussing the issue with the phone. "Did you find anything?"

Brian's expression grew serious. "Nothing... The call records, transfer records… Everything has been wiped out. There are no valuable clues."

Antonio also became grave. "The time of Victor's death was not long before we arrived. How could they delete everything on the phone so quickly?"

"It seems the other party is also a skilled hacker who remotely deleted everything from the phone..."

Brian remarked, "The information reveals signs of a hacker intrusion. However, without concrete evidence, tracing it is impossible."

Antonio sneered. "How could a compulsive gambler, who indulged in food and booze daily, possibly know such a skilled hacker?"

"The person behind this shouldn't be underestimated either." Brian's eyes suddenly lit up. "Wait a minute! I've found an undeleted hidden file!"
