Chapter 709 Embarrassment

Antonio was just about to get up when he noticed the flight attendant still standing there.

She smiled, "Sir, we're about to take off. Please sit down and buckle up."

Antonio, annoyed, snapped his seatbelt on with a scowl. "Do you need something else?" he asked, clearly irritated.

He was already in a foul mood because he couldn't see Sarah from his seat.

He should've booked seats together!

But to keep his cover, he gave Sarah a fake name and got separate tickets.

The flight attendant, realizing her mistake, blushed. "No, sir. Have a pleasant flight!"

She quickly walked away, embarrassed.

Antonio didn't care; he was too busy trying to catch a glimpse of Sarah.

No matter how he craned his neck, all he could see was the back of her head and a bit of her neck, which only made him want to see her more.

Sarah felt a burning gaze from behind her and knew exactly who it was.

But hadn't he say to keep their identities a secret?

Fine, she'd just pretend not to know him.

Still, she couldn't help but smile.

She'd impulsively cut her hair short that morning, and the new look had her feeling pretty good.

She was ready for a fresh start.

Anthony Thomas, who'd been eyeing her since she got on the plane, finally made his move. "Hey, are you heading to Country J for vacation or to visit family?"

Sarah turned to him. He was handsome, with mixed-race features and a gentlemanly vibe.

She smiled. "Hi, I'm on vacation. You?"

Anthony shrugged. "Work."

Sarah chuckled, "You look like a business hotshot."

Anthony grinned. "You're too kind. Actually, I'm a doctor."

Sarah glanced sideways, catching a glimpse of Antonio's dark expression.

Her eyes sparkled, and her smile widened. "Doctors are amazing. I've admired them since I was a kid."

Anthony was clearly interested, but when he noticed her rounded belly, his expression changed slightly.

"Your husband okay with you traveling alone? Sorry, didn't mean to pry."

Sarah shook her head, sensing his curiosity. "It's fine."

She glanced back, making sure Antonio could hear. "My husband passed away."

Antonio's face turned red with anger!

But he couldn't blow his cover and admit he was her husband!

He took a deep breath, trying to calm down, reminding himself, 'It's just some guy hitting on her. Sarah's kind and beautiful; she's just being polite.'

Before he could fully calm down, he heard Anthony's apologetic voice.

"Sorry for bringing up something painful."

Sarah waved it off. "It's been a while. You have to move forward, right? Can't stay stuck in the past."

The words were light, but they hit Antonio hard.

Anthony didn't notice anything off and looked at Sarah with even more admiration, extending his hand. "I'm Anthony Thomas. Wanna be friends?"

Sarah raised an eyebrow and shook his hand. "I'm Sarah Miller."

Anthony grinned, "Hope we can grab a meal together in Country J. I've been there a bunch of times and can show you around, Ms. Miller."

Antonio glared at their clasped hands, wishing he could just chop off Anthony's wrist!

He couldn't take it anymore; his wife was about to be snatched away by another guy!

Just then, Sarah unbuckled her seatbelt and stood up. "Excuse me, I need to use the restroom."

As soon as she left, Antonio got up too.

Passing by Anthony, he shot him a fierce glare.

Sarah had said all that just to mess with Antonio.

She'd been through so much because of his lies; she deserved a little payback, right?

She walked into the restroom feeling pretty smug, but as soon as she closed the door, a big hand reached in, followed by Antonio's tall figure squeezing in and locking the door behind him.

Sarah was stunned and snapped, "What are you doing?"

Antonio looked a bit hurt as he pulled her into his arms.

"I miss you. And you were chatting happily with another guy. I'm not happy."

Sarah had been furious, but hearing Antonio's sad voice reminded her of how he used to play the victim, making her feel all sorts of things.

"Let go of me."

She pushed but couldn't move him. "If someone sees you following me into the restroom, what'll they think? You need to leave!"

Antonio still didn't budge, holding her even tighter.

He asked, "You're not really gonna have dinner with him, are you?"

Sarah couldn't break free and snapped, "Even if I do, it's my choice. Mr. Harrington, you don't have any right to control me!"

In the cramped space, her breathing and heartbeat were loud and clear.

Antonio had been dying to see her since he first spotted her at the airport, and now he felt even more desperate, unable to control himself, nor did he want to.

"Sarah, don't have dinner with him."

He wouldn't allow it!

Sarah pressed her lips together, stubbornly saying, "What's wrong with that? Since I need to find a stepfather for the kids, I should look around more. Knowing more men means more choices."

Before she could say more, Antonio kissed her, silencing her.

Every word she had just said felt like a knife stabbing his heart.

How could he bear the thought of Sarah being with someone else?

His kiss was filled with intense emotion, enveloping all of Sarah's senses.

Maybe it was because they were on a plane, but it felt thrillingly different, making their hearts race faster than usual.

She pushed him, but Antonio didn't budge.

The tension between them grew even stronger.

Antonio finally had a chance; how could he just let it slip away?

Especially with that annoying Anthony outside, if Sarah went out now, he'd definitely keep chatting her up.

The thought of them having a good conversation made his jealousy surge.

During the kiss, Sarah's face turned red.

‘Antonio is really crazy; this is on a plane! If someone finds out, it'll be so embarrassing!' she thought.

The more Sarah thought about it, the angrier she got. While tilting her head to meet his kiss, she tore at his clothes and hit his chest hard.

Antonio grunted in pain, his eyes burning even hotter.

He carefully protected her belly, lifting her leg with one hand.
