Chapter 892 A Lot of Blood
"Sarah." Antonio returned after making a phone call and saw her in a fragile state, which made his heart ache.
"Don't worry, okay? Ryan is very smart; he will be fine."
Sarah suddenly looked up and tightly grasped his hand. "What... what did your friend say?"
Antonio saw the hope in her eyes and felt a bit reluctant, but he couldn't hide the truth. "There is no record of Ryan on any flights or trains."
Although Ryan was young, he had no problem buying plane or train tickets himself. He was determined to go to Northwest Ridge, yet he hadn't bought a single ticket.
The most likely scenario was that something happened to him before he reached the airport.
Sarah understood this as well and said, "So, what do we do now?"
Antonio took a deep breath, cupped Sarah's face, and forced her to look at him. "Trust me, okay? Ryan will be fine!"
"Let the people in Capital City keep looking, and have the police continue their investigation. We'll go to Northwest Ridge ourselves. If Ryan really went there, we will find him!"
"Go to Northwest Ridge, to find Ryan."
Sarah forced herself to calm down, wiping her tears while nodding. "Okay, I'll listen to you."
Yes, they couldn't panic now!
If they panicked, what would happen to Ryan?
Seeing her regain her composure, Antonio breathed a sigh of relief. "Let's pack our things and head to the airport right away."
Twenty minutes later, the couple was in a car heading to the airport.
Sarah was much calmer than before. The more she thought about it, the more she felt something was wrong. She turned to Antonio and said, "Don't you think a lot has happened to our family recently?"
"Yes." Antonio's cold eyes glanced at her.
"It seems like ever since Elara came, our family hasn't had a moment of peace. Maybe she's really not suitable to work for us?" Sarah sighed wistfully. "I've been thinking, when we get back, we should let her go. But to thank her for saving Ryan, we should give her some extra money, which she probably needs."
"Yes." Antonio held her in his arms and comforted her softly, "Don't worry, Ryan is our child; he will be fine."
Meanwhile, Francis in Northwest Ridge was unaware of all this.
He had just finished a construction meeting and returned to his place. Roy was pushing his wheelchair from behind, his voice somewhat suppressed. "Mr. Valencia, do we really have to do this?"
If they followed the previous plan, then Francis...
"Of course." Francis looked into the distance, where the yellow sand and sky seemed to merge, creating a gloomy atmosphere. "We've prepared for so long, waiting for this final moment. Stick to the original plan, and don't make any mistakes."
Roy hesitated for a long time but finally responded solemnly.
This was Francis's wish, and no matter what, he had to fulfill it for him!
Back at his place, Francis took off his coat. Suddenly remembering something, he called out to Roy, who was about to leave, "By the way, is the blood I drew earlier stored properly?"
To successfully fake his death and deceive Guadalupe, Francis had been drawing a lot of blood over the past few days for storage.
If all the blood were to come out of a single adult body at once, that person would undoubtedly die.
Francis planned to use this blood as undeniable evidence to escape from Guadalupe.
Roy nodded. "Don't worry, Mr. Valencia. I've already instructed the doctor."
After Roy left, Francis stared out the window for a long time, lost in thought.
Somehow, he had a bad feeling, a sense of unease that filled his chest, making him feel stifled and uncomfortable.
Francis frowned and locked the door.
Turning around, he took out a hyperrealistic mask he had prepared from the cabinet.
Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
He had even prepared a body to replace his own. Everything was ready, just waiting for the right moment.
Francis sighed deeply. The room was very quiet.
This silence inexplicably brought a sense of fear.
He suddenly thought of Ryan.
Ryan was sensitive, and they had only recently reunited as father and son. Now they had to part again, not knowing when they would see each other again. Ryan would surely be very sad.
Especially since Ryan was going through a rebellious phase recently.
The more Francis thought about it, the more worried he became. He decided to call Ryan. But the call couldn't go through.
He checked his phone, confirming the full signal, and then called Antonio.
The phone was off. Even Sarah's phone was off.
Francis rubbed his forehead, the unease in his heart growing. He couldn't think of any situation where the whole family would lose contact.
That evening, Francis saw the couple at his door. "Antonio, Sarah, what are you doing here?"
Antonio glanced at Sarah, whose face was pale, and then turned to Francis. "Francis, let's talk inside."
Sarah was indeed exhausted. She hadn't expected the place to be so remote. The bumpy ride had almost made her organs churn. She felt a bit better after sitting down and drinking some water.
"Francis, we were in Luminara for business, but Ryan suddenly disappeared! He left a note saying he was coming to find you, so we came straight here." Antonio briefly explained, looking nervously around the room. "Is he here?"
"Wait," Francis hadn't fully processed it yet, his expression worried. "Are you saying Ryan is missing?"
Sarah's face turned pale, and she stood up abruptly. "Francis, are you saying Ryan didn't come to find you?"
"He didn't come." Francis frowned. "I called him at noon, but couldn't reach him."
Sarah was in a panic again. "Then... where could he be?"
"The police in Capital City have no leads either."
"Besides coming to find you, where else could he go?"
Seeing her start to cry again, Antonio felt heartbroken. "I'll call the cops and ask the local authorities to help us search. Let's see if we can locate his smartwatch."
But they all knew that the smartwatch was off, making it impossible to track.
Francis's face was also grim as he made several phone calls. "Antonio, you two have been traveling all day. Go rest now; it's already late. Leave the rest to me."
Sarah instinctively shook her head. "No, I'll wait here for any news."
It had already been over twenty-four hours.
She couldn't bear to think about what might have happened to Ryan.
