Chapter 684 Have You Missed Dad?
Benjamin felt a bit helpless.
The flower delivery person didn't figure out the situation and politely smiled at him. He was about to explode with anger!
He couldn't get into his own house, and his wife was receiving flowers from another man!
Putting that aside, the problem was that Bob was still living in Benjamin's yard!
Bob said he was renting the place, but clearly, he had ulterior motives.
Benjamin was sure that Bob was definitely playing some new kind of game!
Meanwhile, Sarah was watching TV with the kids at home. When she heard the doorbell, she checked the monitor at the door, just in case it was that lunatic Benjamin.
She was startled by what she saw—so many flowers!
She bit her lip, wondering if Benjamin had sent them.
But then she thought of Bob, who had been distracted and playing on his phone during dinner.
'Maybe it was Bob,' she thought.
Sarah was a bit annoyed. She had made it very clear that afternoon, but Bob still went ahead and did it.
She sighed and frowned but got up to sign for the flowers anyway.
As soon as she stepped out, the delivery person smiled obsequiously, "Ms. Miller, these flowers are from Mr. Morrison. Please sign here."
Before she could say anything, she heard a furious shout from the gate. "Sarah! You are not allowed to accept flowers from another man! Not allowed! Do you hear me?!"
Sarah was startled again and looked towards the sound. She finally saw Benjamin, who was being closely guarded by security, finding his angry look amusing.
She was quite surprised to see him.
She couldn't help but twitch her mouth, not knowing what to say.
"Ms. Miller?" The delivery person smiled and raised the pen, reminding her to sign.
Sarah glanced in that direction again.
'Forget it. At this point, just let him misunderstand; maybe then he'll calm down,' she thought.
Thinking this, she took the pen from the delivery person and quickly signed the receipt. Then she turned to the bodyguard and said, "Take the flowers inside."
Once the bodyguard took the flowers inside, she quickly closed the door and followed.
She didn't look at Benjamin again.
Seeing her actually sign for the flowers, Benjamin stood there in shock, staring at her retreating figure.
He stopped all his actions, feeling like he could hear his heart breaking.
'Sarah, is she really planning to accept Bob? How could that be?!''Didn't she say today that she only loved me?'
'No way!'
'Absolutely not!'
Sarah couldn't care less if he was hurt by this.
Back in the living room, she thought momentarily, then went online to check the approximate price of the roses. She added some money and transferred it to Bob's bank account.
[Bob, here's the money for the flowers. Take it!"] Sarah sent him a voice message, then hesitated and sent another one.
[If you don't take it, or if you pull something like this again, you can move out of my yard and stop living here!]
Her words were effective. Bob accepted the money.
Bob, sounding a bit dejected, replied, [I understand, Ms. Miller. Sorry, I won't do it again.]
For Sarah, the matter was settled.
However, Benjamin couldn't get over it.
He was still outside the gate, staring at the villa, looking like he could burst into flames at any moment.
He wondered if Bob was inside with Sarah and the kids.
'Will they do anything else?'
'But Bob doesn't seem outstanding in any way.'
'Sarah couldn't possibly accept him.'Even if she did, it should be me!'''Am I really worse than Bob?' he thought.
Benjamin paced back and forth, almost driven mad by his wild thoughts!
He even started comparing himself to Bob.
Bob didn't seem as capable as he was, but he was young!
'Youth meant energy, and maybe Sarah appreciated that?'
'No.'
Benjamin quickly dismissed that thought.
He might be older, but not that old. It wasn't old; it was mature and stable!
Benjamin, regarding himself mature and stable, was pacing anxiously at the door, almost out of options.
Inside the villa, by the second-floor window, Harper was playing with a doll when she noticed a figure downstairs.
'Isn't that Mr. Harrington? Why does he look troubled?' she thought.
Harper was curious and wanted to see what was going on.
She glanced towards the living room. Sarah had gone upstairs, probably to Brady's room, and Ethan was working on his puzzle.
She thought for a moment, then quietly went downstairs with her doll.
Benjamin was still trying to figure out how to sneak in and at least confirm if Bob was there.
He was at his wit's end upon seeing the door open a crack.
Looking down, he saw Harper!
Benjamin quickly moved to the corner, squatted down, and opened his arms with a smile. "Harper, come here!"
Harper paused, then walked up to him but stopped a step away, not entering his embrace.
"Mr. Harrington, what are you doing here?" she asked.
Benjamin didn't feel awkward. Instead, he retracted his arms and moved closer. "Nothing, I just miss your mommy."
Seeing his forlorn expression, Harper felt a bit sorry for him and couldn't help but advise, "Mr. Harrington, my mommy is inside and won't come out again. You should go home and rest."
Benjamin's eyes lit up, and she asked, "She's alone?"
"No."
When Benjamin heard this, his eyes dimmed, and a bitter smile appeared on his lips.
'Is she with Bob?' she thought.
Harper, standing nearby, thought Mr. Harrington's mood changed too quickly.
She continued, "Mommy is probably with Uncle. After they talk, she'll go to bed."
Benjamin instantly felt better!
'As long as it ssn't Bob!' he thought. He breathed a sigh of relief, looked at Harper, and couldn't help but hold her little hand, his eyes reddening. "Harper, have you missed Daddy during these days?"
