Chapter 774 Found It
Antonio held her close, his chin resting on her head, and whispered, "It will be."
"Once everything's over, Aunt Cynthia should get better, right?" Sarah glanced at Cynthia lying on the bed and sighed, "The stuff from back then has probably become Cynthia's obsession."
With Harold gone, maybe Cynthia could finally move on.
"Then we'll take her back to Capital City, and we'll never be apart again," Sarah said.
Antonio finally felt a sense of closure. At that moment, he remembered the finger bone in the pocket watch.
"Sarah, you stay here with Cynthia. I'm gonna find Dr. Reed." He pulled out the pocket watch, his eyes filled with complexity. "I think I need his help with something."
"Then go quickly," Sarah said.
Antonio headed straight to Timothy's office and got right to the point. "Dr. Reed, I need to ask you one more favor."
Timothy poured him a glass of water. "Mr. Valencia, please, go ahead."
On a personal level, Timothy quite admired Antonio, not to mention their connection through Mary and Sarah.
Antonio's brow furrowed slightly as he cautiously took out the finger bone and placed it on the table. "This is my mother's finger bone. I need you to do a DNA test to see if she..." His voice grew heavy, but he finally said the last few words, "is really my biological mother."
Timothy's eyebrows raised slightly. He didn't ask how the bone was obtained. He took out clean gloves from a drawer, put them on, and picked up the finger bone to examine it. "Sure, follow me."
It was nighttime, and there weren't many staff on duty at the hospital.
Antonio followed Timothy directly into the lab. While waiting for the results, Antonio's mind was a whirlwind of emotions. Even he didn't know why he wanted to know the result. Maybe it was because, during the investigation of Harold, Antonio had developed many complex feelings towards Carter that he had never had before.
Antonio took a deep breath and watched Timothy work.
After a while, the DNA test results popped up on the computer screen.
Antonio glanced casually and saw a series of molecular formulas, his gaze suddenly fixed on a string of data. "Wait!"
Timothy turned around, confused. "What's wrong?"
Antonio pointed to a string of data on the screen and asked, "What is this?"
"This is the component analysis of the finger bone," Timothy explained.
Antonio only heard the first part of his explanation. That string of molecular formulas was the component analysis of Carter's bone, and the string of data was exactly eighteen digits long!
And just now, a flash of inspiration hit Antonio, reminding him of something! When he was in the custom computer lab at the Harrington Group headquarters, he discovered the control device for the internal chip, but the key was very complex, exactly eighteen digits.
Antonio had a crazy and bold idea at that moment. 'Could it be that Harold used this string of molecular data as the key?'
The more he thought about it, the more plausible it seemed. Harold was an extreme pervert, so it wouldn't be surprising if he did something like this. Antonio closed his eyes, trying to keep his excitement in check, and memorized the eighteen-digit molecular formula.
With this new theory, Antonio quickly told Sarah he had something to take care of and left the hospital with his bodyguards.
Before he even got to the Harrington Group, Antonio's phone rang. It was a high-ranking executive from the company.
The voice on the other end was shaky. "Mr. Benjamin Harrington! Mr. Harold Harrington's office has been robbed!"
"Robbed? By who?" Antonio asked.
"We're not sure! The surveillance cameras were hacked!"
'It must be Harold. But ever since he escaped through the tunnel, I've had tight security in place. If Harold went to the Harrington Group, someone would have informed me. But no one did. So how did he manage to do it without being detected?' Antonio wondered.
Half an hour later, at the Harrington Group.
Antonio was confronted with a chaotic scene that made his blood run cold.
"Mr. Harrington, nothing important seems to be missing. We don't know exactly what the intruder took. We're still investigating." The subordinate kept his head down, not daring to look at Antonio. The whole room was dead quiet.
Antonio gritted his teeth, pushed him aside, entered the small lab opposite Harold's office, and punched in the password.
Moments later, everyone heard a furious clattering from inside as Antonio overturned the tables.
Harold had indeed taken the computer that could deactivate the chip inside Antonio!
Antonio was so angry he wanted to blow up the building. His eyes were filled with a storm, and his tall frame was tense. "From now on, seal all entrances and exits of the Harrington Group. No one is allowed to leave!"
"Yes, sir!" The subordinates didn't know what had happened, but they didn't dare to disobey Antonio.
Because Harold had been missing for over 24 hours, Antonio was now their new boss!
Fortunately, in the dead of night, the security team finally noticed something wrong at the Harrington Group! Their voices trembled as they reported to Antonio, "Mr. Harrington, there's a huge hole in the indoor parking lot!"
Antonio stood in the underground parking lot, staring at the concealed tunnel exit, extremely angry.
No one would have thought that Harold had dug a tunnel from the Harrington Villa to the indoor parking lot of the Harrington Group.
Antonio had to admit he had underestimated Harold's cunning! He immediately called Larry, asking him to thoroughly investigate the tunnel under the Harrington Villa.
Antonio thought, 'Harold might have dug multiple exits, each leading to different places, and he might even still be hiding in the tunnel and never left! Otherwise, with so many people searching, how could we not find any trace of him?'
"Harold, even if I have to search all of Marshall City, I will find you!" Antonio shouted.
Antonio was right; Harold had indeed been hiding in the tunnel all along.
This tunnel was his masterpiece; When the Harrington Villa was built, Harold hired many designers to create this intricate, secret, and trap-filled tunnel!
