Chapter 665 Benjamin, You'd Better Be More Loyal
Benjamin's eyes landed on Isabella, and he frowned, saying, "Your makeup doesn't match your dress. Change it."
Isabella's face fell. "What?"
If Benjamin said it looked bad, it must be awful. She quickly dragged the designer back to the fitting room. "Fix this makeup, quick!"
As they disappeared into the makeup room, Benjamin's expression softened, and he walked outside.
Meanwhile, Sarah and Bob were wandering nearby. Sarah, who hadn't shopped in a while, got excited seeing all the stores and started picking out items seriously. Bob followed her like a bodyguard, keeping a step behind.
Sarah stopped in front of a window display and eyed Bob, sizing him up. "Don't you think this outfit would suit you?"
Bob, young and cheerful, didn't seem like the type for a stiff suit. His ears turned red under her gaze. "If you say it suits me, then it does."
Even if it was a burlap sack, he'd think it looked good if she said so.
"Go try it on," Sarah said, heading into the store. "If it fits, I'll buy it for you."
Bob had been a big help, especially with the kids. Buying him an outfit seemed fair.
Bob was thrilled. He knew Sarah saw him as a friend, but he believed he could win her over step by step. Her offering to buy him clothes felt like a good start.
He tried on the clothes and came out, showing Sarah. "What do you think?"
"This leather jacket looks great on you," she said, adjusting his collar.
Neither noticed Benjamin watching from a distance, feeling a sharp pang in his chest. They looked so close, like a couple.
The thought made Benjamin anxious and upset. He couldn't hold back his feelings and strode over, grabbing Sarah's wrist. "Come with me, I need to talk to you."
Sarah was startled. "Benjamin?! What are you doing here?"
Benjamin didn't answer, just pulled her outside.
Bob stepped in. "Mr. Harrington, your fiancée is trying on wedding dresses, and you're here bothering Sarah. Isn't that inappropriate?"
Benjamin shot him a cold look, ignoring him.
"Benjamin, let go of me!" Sarah tried to break free, but his grip was too strong.
Bob, seeing Sarah's reaction, anxiously said, "Can't you see she doesn't want to go with you?"
As he was about to intervene, Sarah found herself caught in the middle, noticing the curious stares from passersby. She didn't want to cause a scene, especially with the delicate relationship between their companies.
Sarah looked at Bob helplessly. "I'm fine. If Mr. Harrington has something to say, I'll listen. You wait here."
She then walked away willingly.
"Mr. Miller!" Bob called out, still worried, but he was wearing the store's clothes and couldn't chase after them. Frustrated, he cursed under his breath and hurried back to change.
Benjamin led Sarah to a secluded corner before stopping. Sarah, now angry, snapped, "What do you want?"
Benjamin seemed conflicted, reaching out to check her wrist but stopping when she pulled away. He struggled to find the right words.
Sarah, annoyed, said, "If there's nothing, I'm leaving. You're about to get married, Benjamin. I don't want to end up in the tabloids with you!"
She turned to leave, but Benjamin grabbed her from behind. "Sarah, can you give me a little more time?" His voice was choked with emotion. "Wait for me, okay?"
He hoped she could wait for him to sort out his issues and love her openly.
Sarah, baffled, thought, 'Wait for him? Is he joking? Everyone knows he's getting engaged the day after tomorrow, and now he says this?'
Her face turned cold. "Benjamin, your fiancée is right over there. Have some self-respect. If you can't be loyal, I have nothing more to say."
After saying her piece, she walked away decisively, not looking back.
Benjamin stood there, feeling a wave of powerlessness. What else could he do about Sarah?
His solitary figure made passersby pause, but his aura kept them at a distance.
At that moment, his phone rang. It was Dr. Arnold. "Remember to come in for your second electroshock therapy today. If the intervals are too long, it won't be as effective. Are you ready?"
Benjamin replied, "Okay."
After hanging up, a renewed glimmer of hope sparked in his eyes.
