Chapter 89 Then You Can Be With Antonio

Antonio shot James a look so cold it could freeze hell over.

James was shaking in his boots, thinking, 'Sir, it's not my fault! I wanted to talk, but you didn't give me a shot!'

Alex's grin got wider. "I'm not the big boss of BrianTech Solutions Inc. The real boss is a young hotshot, a total whiz kid. He built BrianTech from scratch, has a bunch of patents, started a research institute, and snagged top talent from all over. He's a business genius and a brainiac, way out of my league."

Antonio's mood took a nosedive, his face getting even darker.

He still had no clue who the president of BrianTech Solutions Inc was.

"So, what's the third level?" Antonio asked, his voice like ice.

Alex pulled himself together, a hint of something dark in his eyes. "The third level is all about character. My boss only works with people who are stand-up guys, love their wives, and take care of their families. Mr. Valencia, I heard you got caught up in a scandal. We want you to go live, own up to your past mistakes, and publicly ask your wife for forgiveness. If you can own up to your mistakes, then maybe he'll consider working with the Valencia Group."

Even as he said this, Alex couldn't look Antonio in the eye, his hands clenching up.

He was definitely scared of Antonio. Everyone in the business world knew the Valencia Group's clout and Antonio's ruthless ways. If Antonio got pissed, even a big player like BrianTech Solutions Inc would feel the heat.

When Alex first heard about the third level, he was like, "No way."

It was obvious that Antonio, with his pride, would blow a gasket, and Alex would be the one in the line of fire!

Sure enough, Antonio's face twisted with anger, his eyes flashing coldly. "Are you messing with me?"

Antonio went on, "I'm here to seriously negotiate with BrianTech Solutions Inc, but what's with your attitude? Do they really think the Valencia Group can't survive without them? Crushing you would be a walk in the park for me."

James, standing nearby, was scared out of his mind. He edged towards the corner, hoping Antonio wouldn't take his rage out on him.

Alex was at a loss, his friendly smile gone.

He knew this was coming; Brian had really thrown him under the bus this time!

Antonio glared at Alex, who looked just as grim, his eyes narrowing dangerously. Something was definitely off with BrianTech Solutions Inc.

Antonio said, "I don't have time for your games. The Valencia Group doesn't need partners like you. Deal's off !"

Antonio's face was stormy. When had he ever been humiliated like this?

If he didn't take down BrianTech Solutions Inc, he'd never be able to let this go!

Alex leaned in, trying to smooth things over, and said with a grin, "Mr. Valencia, if you walk away from this deal, you'll never get to meet the president."

Antonio snorted, full of disdain. "Who does he think he is? I'm the one calling the shots here!"

Little did Antonio know, the president of BrianTech Solutions Inc, the guy he was so eager to avoid, was actually his own son!

Alex sighed, then his eyes lit up with an idea. "Mr. Valencia, don't rush your decision. Think it over. I'll be at the Grand Horizon Hotel for a month, hoping you'll change your mind."

Hearing this, Antonio's face turned icy, his brows knitting together. A strong, unfamiliar sense of crisis washed over him.

If Alex stayed here, wouldn't he be able to see Sarah anytime?

Meanwhile, Sarah was in the restroom, staring into the mirror, lost in thought.

The whole deal between Alex and Antonio seemed way too coincidental. Alex had never mentioned any of this to her before.

The kicker was that Harper had been the one helping Antonio pass the levels.

Could it really be, as Harper said, that everything was just a coincidence?

Just then, Harper came out of the stall and immediately locked eyes with Sarah. Her heart skipped a beat, and her pupils shrank.

Sarah's look was dangerous!

Realizing this, Harper quickly flashed a sweet smile, then ducked her head and rushed to wash her hands.

But Sarah's intense gaze didn't leave her. Harper felt like her head was about to be pierced by that stare, and she couldn't help but swallow nervously.

Sarah squinted, watching Harper, not missing her guilty expression. After a while, she asked, "Harper, do you know something?"

"What are you talking about, Mommy?" Harper didn't look up, scrubbing her hands like her life depended on it.

Sarah glanced at Harper's nearly raw hands, a glint flashing in her eyes. She suddenly switched gears. "Harper, I know you've turned against me. Your heart has shifted to Antonio, hasn't it?"

Seeing Harper hesitate, Sarah pretended to sigh sadly. "You've grown up and have your own thoughts. Since you prefer Antonio and want to stay by his side, Mommy will respect your decision. Brady and I will soon take Ethan and leave, but don't worry, we won't forget you. We will be together, blessing you from afar, hoping you live happily here."

"No!" Harper suddenly rushed over and hugged Sarah's waist, crying anxiously. "Mommy, don't leave me. I want to be with you."

Sarah felt a pang of heartbreak but decided to press on.  "Harper, be honest with me. There is something behind this collaboration, right?"

"Right." At this point, Harper had to admit, her little hands still clinging to Sarah.

She looked up, her tear-filled eyes gazing at Sarah, pouting and trying to look cute. "Mommy, don't be mad. Alex just wants to help you punish Daddy. We're all doing it for your good, not trying to hide anything from you."

Deep inside, Harper thought, 'Alex, you're gonna have to take the fall for this one! Sorry, Mommy, I can't tell you that Brian is actually the mastermind!'
