Chapter 1002 Tori, I Love You

He was worried she might get hurt again.

What if she fell and he couldn't see her?

Her delicate skin had just started to heal.

It was already past ten when Alexander arrived at the Harrington Mansion that night.

Maximus was playing chess with Brett on the couch. Seeing Alexander come in, he asked, "Why so late?"

"There was a party. Is Tori upstairs?"

"Yeah, your mom said to go see her first when you got back," Maximus reminded him.

"Alright."

Even though he was eager to see Victoria, Alexander went to his parents' room first.

Arabella had just finished changing and was applying hand cream. Seeing him, she said, "Close the door."

Alexander hesitated but closed the door.

Arabella sighed and said, "I took Victoria to the hospital today and ran into Daisy. She said a lot of nonsense, and I'm worried Victoria might be suspicious. So I called you over to talk about it."

"I already know."

Arabella thought of Frank and the others, frowned, but then said, "Good, saves me from repeating it. Go find Victoria, but Strawberry will stay here tonight."

"Okay."

Alexander didn't say anything else and turned to go to his room.

Victoria hadn't gotten into bed.

The maid had helped her wash up and left, and she was alone in the room, curled up between the bed and the nightstand.

The cold floor seemed to give her a sense of security.

Alexander's heart ached when he saw her like that.

Victoria heard the door open, even though it was quiet, and she noticed and hugged her legs tighter.

He walked over, his long legs bending as he squatted in front of her.

Seeing her scared expression, he couldn't help but choke up and asked softly, "Why are you sitting on the floor?"

Victoria didn't speak, but when she felt something touch her foot, she curled her toes and pulled back.

Alexander felt her cold feet and didn't waste any more time. He picked her up and placed her on the bed.

Victoria instinctively pushed against his chest.

Alexander glanced at her and then pressed her down on the bed and kissed her.

Victoria panicked and tried to resist, but the kiss made her dizzy.

Her hands were trapped by her shoulders, and she heard him say. "Push me again, and I'll take you right here."

Victoria stopped resisting, and he stopped kissing her.

Soon, she felt the weight lift off her.

Alexander went to the closet and found her thick coat, wrapping her up tightly.

No one was downstairs anymore. He wrapped her up and took her to his car.

Victoria felt them in the car and grew nervous again.

Was he going to sell her? Give her away?

Was he done with her?

Was he giving her to someone else because she wasn't obedient?

Victoria suddenly felt very scared.

Alexander fastened her seatbelt and started driving. Suddenly, he felt something touch his leg and looked down, almost causing an accident.

Victoria was holding onto him tightly.

She didn't say anything, but her face showed it all.

She was worried.

Worried about what?

Alexander didn't know, but he quickly held her hand.

He couldn't handle her touching him like that.

For the first time, Victoria held his hand tightly.

At a traffic light in the south part of the city, he stopped and turned to look at her, then leaned close to her ear.

Victoria immediately smelled the alcohol on his breath and instinctively pulled back.

She heard his frustrated sigh.

Her heart tightened, but she didn't want to get closer to him.

Not because she was scared, but because she just didn't want to.

"We're heading back to our place."

So they were going back home.

She felt a wave of relief wash over her.

Alexander felt a bit lost because as soon as he said that, she let go of his hand.

It confirmed his suspicion that she was worried about being abandoned.

Alexander didn't know whether to be happy or sad.

But the long night was theirs to share.

Being together outweighed all the disappointments.

Slowly, everything would get better.

He thought to himself.

When they got home, he got out of the car and walked quickly to the passenger side.

Victoria fumbled to open the door herself, but Alexander blocked her in.

"Trying to get out without shoes?" He asked.

Victoria's heart skipped a beat, and before she could think, he had already picked her up.

She still wasn't used to it, but had to endure.

At that moment, she confirmed again how strong he was.

How tall was he?

Probably taller than most people.

He walked quickly, probably taking two steps for every one of hers.

And he seemed very cunning.

More cunning than anyone else.

He always managed to scare her.

She could feel they were inside the house because it was warm.

She didn't know where he had gone drinking tonight, but she could tell he had a good tolerance for alcohol, as she often smelled it on him.

Alexander carried her straight inside, putting her down carefully.

He sat next to her, holding her feet in his lap, murmuring, "I'll warm your feet."

Victoria instinctively wanted to move, but he leaned closer, and she was too scared to move.

"Don't move, I'm just warming your feet."

She wanted to say she didn't need it, but she couldn't.

Gradually, his quiet presence calmed her down.

He didn't do anything else, just held her feet quietly.

His chest was warm, so warm it felt like a dream.

In the dream, it had been this warm before.

She stopped moving, and the warmth made her sleepy.

Alexander watched her eyelashes flutter, closing and opening again.

What was she afraid of? Or had she spent the whole day planning to escape, waiting for him to fall asleep?

"Tori, we've known each other for so many years."

He didn't know why, but he suddenly felt sentimental.

Victoria listened, waking up a bit.

"I always thought I knew you well, but now, you seem a bit unfamiliar."

He murmured, then smiled.

His voice grew quieter, and she couldn't hear clearly, but she wanted to know, so she listened intently.

"We'll be okay. You'll let your guard down and accept me again."

He held her hand on her knee and kissed it lightly.

He thought she would fall in love with him again.

As long as he tried, as long as he didn't hurt her again.

As long as he did well enough.

He would find a way to make her never want to run away, even if she lost her memory.

At this moment, he finally accepted that she didn't remember.

She truly didn't remember him.

"Tori, I love you!"
