Chapter 1025 What Right Do You Have to Speak to Me Like This

Thinking about Victoria's suffering, she suddenly burst into laughter.

She wanted to create a world where Victoria would go mad, lose her mind, and become a complete wreck.

The thought of Victoria's pained, foolish expression gave her immense satisfaction.

Victoria hadn't been sleeping well these past few days. Every time she closed her eyes, she had nightmares.

Seeing her so troubled, Diana came up with an idea. "Hey, Victoria, how about we go see a doctor? This guy is good."

Victoria was intrigued, so Diana drove her there.

But as soon as they left, they were followed.

Frank quickly noticed the car tailing them and had his men check it out.

They found out it was just one person, so he instructed them to keep an eye on her.

Meanwhile, Daisy received a call on her phone.

She glanced at the screen and answered, "Hello?"

"Mrs. Cook, Mr. Bryant says you need to stop following them."

"What am I following?"

Daisy played dumb.

"Mr. Bryant said if you cause any more trouble, he'll cut ties with you."

"Let my dad tell me that himself."

She didn't believe her parents would disown her. Even if they did, it would just be for show.

She had been pampered all her life and knew her parents wouldn't hurt her.

They had her marry Elliot to prevent her from ending up like Isabella by getting too involved with Alexander.

She was married now and had a child.

This child was her shield, her source of arrogance. She knew this better than anyone.

With this child, no one could touch her.

Her follower had no choice but to call Jerome.

Soon, Jerome called her.

He had already had a few drinks at lunch to secure some funds, and now Daisy was giving him a headache.

As soon as she answered, he said, "Daisy, come back."

"Dad, I'm just coincidentally on the same road as them."

"Their bodyguards have probably already spotted you. What are you trying to do? You can't do anything."

"I won't hurt her."

"Daisy, please come back. I'm begging you. I don't want to end up like the Montgomery Group."

Jerome rubbed his temples, pleading.

"Dad, no matter what happens, I'll take responsibility. I've already given you an excuse. I'm just coincidentally on the same road as them. You don't need to worry. Bye."

Daisy made herself clear and then hung up.

Jerome couldn't help but laugh after she hung up.

He realized he had no control over Daisy.

Even the Cook family didn't want to deal with her anymore.

Elliot had initially been following her, but later said he didn't want to anymore.

Jerome had to find someone else, but it seemed like no one could keep up with her.

Jerome had no choice but to contact Alexander.

Alexander hadn't blocked him, and after a while, he answered.

"Mr. Harrington, sorry to bother you, but it seems Daisy is following Mrs. Harrington."

"I know. Do you need my people to discipline her? They won't be as gentle as you."

Alexander mentioned calmly after hearing the call.

He understood Jerome's character, but if he didn't suppress Jerome, someone had to keep Daisy in check.

And that person shouldn't be his own, but Jerome himself.

Daisy hadn't committed any serious crimes and was pregnant, so it had to be Jerome.

Jerome understood and, since Alexander had taken his call, he had to show some effort. "Don't worry, I'll stop her immediately."

"Good."

Alexander agreed and hung up.

Jerome felt even more pressure after the call ended.

He never thought he'd be walking a tightrope at his age.

He thought Daist would marry off and he could enjoy life, but she had fallen for a married man, and this man was very devoted.

Devotion was something every man should have, but he hadn't expected Alexander to be that kind of man.

And Daisy had been led astray by Isabella.

In the end, it was his fault for not raising her properly.

Daisy's car was heading up the mountain when it was suddenly stopped.

It was Jerome's men.

She immediately recognized the car.

At first, she thought they were just there to monitor her and prevent her from getting an abortion.

But when he got out of the car, she was scared.

Just by his demeanor, she knew this wasn't the case.

The person following her at the ball was from her family, but this guy was different.

Daisy immediately tried to turn the car around, but the man approached, placing his hand on the hood and then walking around to her side.

She felt like she was about to be captured and quickly called Jerome.

But Jerome's phone was left in his office.

Daisy suddenly remembered the time she was bullied by a group of people, and Elliot just stood there watching.

Why? Was there no one to protect her anymore?

The parents who once loved her were now willing to sacrifice her to protect their wealth and status?

Daisy was dragged out of the car. The man was careful with her pregnant belly, as he had orders not to harm her.

She was shoved into his car and harshly warned.

Daisy tried to escape, but the man pulled out a belt.

When he looped it around her wrist, she stayed in the back seat, not resisting anymore.

She even started to tremble.

What she once thought was playful now seemed terrifying.

Especially when she accidentally saw the scar on the man's brow. It wasn't long, but it was deep.

She couldn't move.

"As long as you don't try to escape, I promise not to hurt you."

The man got out and went to the front, driving her away.

"I want to talk to my dad."

She said, trembling.

The man drove, "I'm afraid Mr. Bryant is too busy to talk to you right now. I'm just taking you home. There's no need to be afraid."

"No need to be afraid? You're tying me up with this filthy thing, how can I not be afraid?"

Daisy suddenly shouted at him.

He had said he wouldn't hurt her, so she dared to shout.

The man smiled faintly and said nothing more.

Daisy continued to shout, "I want to talk to my dad, or my mom. Don't send me back to the Cook family, or I'll jump off a building."

The man was annoyed but knew her temperament and said nothing.

She was taken to Elliot's place.

Elliot had just seen off a friend and squinted at her being brought back tied up, "What's this? Couldn't wait?"

"Mr. Cook, I'm Mr. Bryant's subordinate. He asked me to bring her back. Please take care of her for the sake of the child."

"Since my Mr. Bryant asked, I'll keep an eye on her."

Elliot didn't want to, but had to show respect.

"Then I'll leave."

His friend, annoyed, turned and walked away with his hands in his pockets.

Daisy spat in disgust as she watched him leave.

Elliot's face darkened.

The man glanced at Elliot and then stepped forward, "You really shouldn't find me disgusting. In the eyes of the world, those who aren't faithful are the most disgusting."

"What right do you have to talk to me like that?"

A slap landed on her face.
