Chapter 936 My Husband's Eyes Will Definitely Get Better

In the morning, Victoria accompanied Alexander went for a follow-up appointment, but unexpectedly ran into Daisy in the elevator.

Daisy was startled to see them and quickly lowered her head as she walked in.

"I've had some issues with my eyes recently, almost didn't recognize you. Isn't this Ms. Bryant?" Alexander's sarcastic voice.

Daisy slightly turned her head and nodded at them.

Alexander asked, "Ms. Bryant, no latest news from the prison for us?"

Daisy felt extremely embarrassed and softly replied, "Mr. Harrington, please don't joke. How would I know anything about the prison?"

"I thought you were quite capable."

Alexander glanced at the story Daisy was heading to, then suddenly whispered to Victoria, "I bet she's going to the OB-GYN, the Cook Family is getting an heir."

Victoria snapped out of it, looked up at his teasing eyes, and couldn't help but wonder what he was up to.

He usually wasn't this talkative.

"I'm not pregnant," Daisy claimed.

"Terminate the pregnancy, then you won't be." Alexander mocked with a faint voice.

Daisy's expression kept changing.

Victoria just looked at Alexander in confusion, feeling that he was acting a bit strange today.

Talking a lot was one thing, but everything he said was barbed.

Daisy immediately got out when they reached the OB-GYN floor.

"Daisy."

Unexpectedly, Daisy ran into Elliot outside.

Daisy was so scared that she ran back into the elevator, "Mr. Harrington, help me."

"I can't help you."

Alexander frowned in disdain and shrank behind Victoria.

Victoria was helpless at Alexander's behavior, but watched as Elliot strode in.

"Alexander and Victoria are here too. Alexander, are you here for a follow-up? Then I won't let Daisy waste your time. Daisy, come out."

Elliot stepped forward, grabbed Daisy, and dragged her out while warning, "You want an abortion, right? I'll tie you up and see how you do it."

"Elliot, you scoundrel, I will never have your child!"

The elevator doors closed, and the sounds outside became inaudible. Victoria thought that the way men threatened women was quite similar.

"Don't you think Daisy's voice sounds a bit like yours?"

Alexander suddenly asked.

Victoria snapped out of it, recalling past events.

She turned to look at him, "Daisy even sat on your lap, why are you hiding now?"

"You were jealous because of that."

Alexander looked at Victoria and spoke softly.

Victoria stared at him for a moment, then immediately looked ahead.

She was too apathetic to engage with him, as he consistently evaded the crux of her inquiries. While he went in for his check-up, she waited outside, feeling inexplicably anxious.

She yearned to convey her indifference, yet she found herself consumed by inner distress.

She glanced out the window, hoping he would be okay.

That way, Strawberry could have a healthy father and enjoy more fatherly love.

"That girl just now was so pitiful. How could her husband slap her in public?"

"Given her insistence on terminating the pregnancy, it is somewhat comprehensible that she faced a slap."

"Right."

Two women came for a check-up and started chatting nearby.

Victoria listened to them, thinking it sounded like Elliot and Daisy. Elliot seemed like a smart guy, yet he would act out in public.

As for Daisy, Victoria couldn't really sympathize with her.

The door opened, and Victoria quickly stood up, looking towards the entrance.

Alexander came out, rubbing his eyes.

"How's your condition?" She instinctively stepped forward to show concern.

"The doctor said I might go blind." He replied.

"What?" Victoria's face turned pale with fright.

"There's a blood clot in my brain that won't dissolve."Alexander added, "The doctor said it's caused by depression, hard to treat."

Victoria was terrified. She knew long-term depression could cause illness, but she never expected that Alexander would get it.

A doctor came out from inside, and she immediately let go of Alexander and chased after the doctor, firmly rejecting this outcome, "Doctor, my husband's eyes can definitely get better, right?"
