Chapter 837 Is There Something Wrong with the Wine?

Alexander picked up Strawberry, lifted her high, and kissed her, making Strawberry laugh joyfully.

Victoria's face was still flushed from his deliberate apology, and seeing him lift Strawberry so high, she walked towards the sofa in a daze, knowing she couldn't lift Strawberry herself.

The large room suddenly felt a bit empty.

Alexander glanced over and saw Victoria sitting on the sofa, looking at her phone.

He suddenly felt very sad, wondering which man she was chatting with this time.

Alexander held Strawberry and whispered, "Why aren't you sleepy yet? Did you nap too much during the day?"

"Your mom and grandma wouldn't let her sleep too much during the day."

Victoria replied without looking up from her phone.

At Metro House, the elders would try to keep Strawberry from sleeping too much during the day to get her used to a normal routine.

Hearing Victoria's words, Alexander looked at her again but didn't say anything to her. Instead, he spoke to Strawberry, "How about I put you to sleep?"

Strawberry just kept giggling, not understanding a word.

But as soon as Alexander put Strawberry on the bed, she turned over unhappily, trying hard to get up.

"Alexander."

A voice called him from behind, still quite pleasant.

He didn't respond, so Victoria continued, "I want to go out for a bit."

Alexander then turned his head, "What?"

"Olivia is at the bar, and she asked me to join her."

"No."

Victoria was already standing up. Hearing his refusal, she didn't respond and just said as she walked to the bed, "I'm not asking for your permission."

Alexander was still lying there, suddenly feeling a sense of oppression from her looking down at him.

"I'm just informing you."

She said and then left.

She always managed to say the most heartbreaking things in the softest voice.

Alexander was still lying there, but soon he got up and took Strawberry out.

Victoria had just stepped outside when someone suddenly ran towards her. She instinctively turned around.

The tall and handsome Alexander walked up to her and said helplessly, "I'll take you."

Victoria felt suppressed, but she was a bit tired and didn't want to drive, "Thank you, Mr. Harrington."

Alexander chuckled and then instructed, "Wait here."

He then strode off to get the car. When he returned, Victoria was still standing there.

Seeing her still there, Alexander realized he had been holding his breath.

Was he afraid she would leave while he was getting the car?

Alexander thought to himself as he drove the car up to her.

Victoria immediately put away her phone and got in the car.

The two of them then headed to one of Alexander's bars.

"You go in; I'll wait outside."

Alexander said.

"Okay."

At the bar entrance, Alexander turned to Victoria and gave her some instructions.

Just as Victoria was about to get out of the car, his warm hand grabbed her wrist. She turned to look at him.

In a deep voice, Alexander said, "Drink less."

Victoria lifted her head slightly.

She indeed needed to drink less.

His reminder made her think of the last time she got drunk. She didn't know what she had said or done, only hearing about it from him later.

Victoria pushed open the car door and got out, forcing Alexander to let go of her hand.

The car window was still open. Watching her walk inside, he was about to park the car when he heard a few girls' conversation.

"I heard Addie is inside."

"Really? Let's go."

"Hurry up, I want his autograph and a photo. I wonder if we can get them."

Alexander's eyes narrowed slightly, and he instinctively unbuckled his seatbelt.

He didn't like Adrian and Victoria meeting, whether it was a coincidence or not.

But he trusted Victoria, so he buckled his seatbelt back.

When Victoria found Olivia inside, Olivia had already drunk.

Seeing her arrive, Olivia smiled, "Tori, you're here."

"How much have you had to drink?"

Victoria looked at Olivia's eyes and felt she had drunk quite a bit. She walked over and sat next to Olivia.

Olivia immediately threw herself into Victoria's arms, hugging her and murmuring, "Today, it's rare for us to be together, we must drink a lot."

Victoria looked down at Olivia's unfocused gaze, glanced around helplessly, and saw a staff member bringing more drinks. "These are from the gentleman at that booth."

Hearing the staff member's words, Victoria followed his gesture and glanced over.

Seeing Adrian meeting with a director, she just nodded to the staff member.

As soon as Olivia saw the drinks, she let go of Victoria, grabbed the bottle, and started pouring. She filled Victoria's glass and then her own, muttering, "Who cares who sent it, let's drink."

"Olivia, haven't you and Mr. Sinclair resolved your misunderstanding?"

"Resolved? Tomorrow, I'm going to end the marriage."

"What?"

"Who cares? Drink with me, drink it all."

Victoria, pushed by Olivia, had no choice but to drink a glass with her.

Olivia filled the glasses again, muttering, "Drink more."

"Olivia, how much have you had? You shouldn't drink anymore."

"I'm drinking until I'm drunk today. Later, I'll take you to find some handsome men. Those damn men aren't worth our loyalty. They can be unfaithful and wild, why can't we? How are we any worse than them?"

As Olivia spoke, she filled Victoria's glass again.

Victoria looked at the second glass, feeling a bit hesitant, but thinking that the drink Adrian sent probably wasn't very strong, she dared to drink the second glass.

Olivia quickly filled Victoria's glass again, then propped her head on her hand, looking at Victoria, "Tori, I never thought my marriage would be such a failure. He said he had loved me since he was a child and that seeing me made his blood boil. It's so ridiculous."

Olivia drank again, then looked at Victoria's glass with an unfocused gaze, "Why aren't you drinking? Didn't you wean Strawberry? Drink, it's too pitiful for me to drink alone."

"How about we finish this glass and then stop? Let's go somewhere else to talk."

Victoria wanted to coax her to go back. After all, Alexander was outside, and they could take her home together.

"No, there's a room upstairs where we can rest. I booked a room upstairs."

Olivia said, then drank another glass herself. After drinking, she buried her face in her arms on the table, tears streaming down her face, not wanting anyone to see.

Victoria gently placed her hand on Olivia's back, wanting to comfort her but not knowing how, so she just stayed quietly by her side.

Soon, a message popped up on Victoria's phone on the table.

She quickly picked it up and glanced at it; it was from Alexander.

[Edward is not far from you.]

After reading it, Victoria instinctively looked around and saw Edward sitting in the darkest corner. She finally breathed a sigh of relief and wanted to reply to Alexander, but then she felt a bit dizzy.

Olivia was also grabbing her collar, suddenly having trouble breathing.

Olivia looked up, grabbed the bottle, and started pouring it into her mouth.

Victoria was stunned, "Olivia, you can't drink like that."

"I feel a bit uncomfortable."

Olivia mumbled.

"What?"

Victoria thought she might have drunk too much, but why was she still drinking?

And she felt a bit dizzy. What kind of drink did Adrian give them?

Victoria picked up the bottle to check it and noticed the Alcohol by Volume was only 5%.

This kind of drink had very little alcohol; she shouldn't be feeling uncomfortable.
