Chapter325 Love Me, Then Surrender Yourself to Me

"I was wrong," Alexander confessed, his voice a gentle whisper. His fingers tenderly brushed away the tears staining her cheeks.

His error had been the subject of much criticism, a fact he never denied. He had been at fault, and he knew it. As he continued to wipe away her tears, a resolution formed in his heart. He would never cause her such pain again.

Victoria, her eyes red-rimmed and swollen from crying, looked at him with a gaze that was both serious and scrutinizing. His admission of guilt had only served to increase her sorrow.

"Who are you?" she asked suddenly, her voice barely above a whisper.

"What?" Alexander responded, taken aback by her question.

"Why are you here?" Victoria shot back, her confusion evident. She didn't recognize the man before her. Why was he apologizing? Wasn't she with Alexander? Where was he?

"Who are you, and why are you in my bed?" Victoria's gaze darted around the room, her expression growing increasingly wary.

"I'm Alexander, Victoria. What's wrong with you?" Alexander asked, his voice filled with concern.

"You're not. Alexander left, and he won't come back. He's having a baby with another woman. They grew up together. That woman is his sweetheart." Victoria shook her head, her voice growing softer with each word, her tears slowing to a trickle.

Listening to her words, Alexander felt a sharp pang in his heart. He reached out, cradling her face in his hands and wiping away her tears. He couldn't bear to meet her innocent gaze. His eyes dropped to her lips, rosy and inviting. Unable to resist, he leaned in and kissed her.

Victoria, startled by the sudden intimacy, immediately pulled away. But Alexander held her hands, trapping her in his embrace. He looked at her tenderly, murmuring, "I don't have a sweetheart. If I did, it would be you."

"Who are you? Who the hell are you?" Victoria's voice was calm now, but her eyes were filled with fear.

"I am Alexander," Alexander said firmly.

"No, you're not. Alexander left," Victoria replied.

"He came back," Alexander insisted.

"Did he come back?" Victoria paused, her expression thoughtful. Then, she looked at him with renewed scrutiny. "You really seem like Alexander. When did you come back? Did you come back to find me?"

"Yes, I came back to find you," Alexander confirmed, regret tingling his voice. He wished he had returned sooner. If he could, he would go back to over two years ago.

Leaving a twenty-year-old girl in a strange family without a care or concern, he thought, what a jerk he had been.

"Find me? Are you really getting a divorce? They all said you have a baby and are getting married." Victoria's eyes filled with tears once more as she looked at him.

Emotions she usually kept hidden threatened to spill over in her drunken state. She stood there, a lost little girl, staring at him, waiting for his judgment.

"I am already married to you," Alexander said.
"Why are you having a baby with another woman? You know you are married, so why would you do that?" Victoria's voice was choked with emotion, her words laced with accusation.

"I'm sorry, Vicky. It won't happen again." Alexander gently kissed her hand, his voice soothing.

"If you want to abandon me, just say it. Why did you still flirt with other women even though you knew we were married?" Victoria's voice trembled as she wiped away her tears.

Alexander was at a loss for words. His hands were wet with her tears, and he used his sleeve to dry them.

"You don't respect me at all, do you? My heart has been bleeding because of you." Victoria's voice broke as she pointed to her chest. She grabbed his sleeve, using it to wipe her tears before pouring out her heart to him.

"Here," she replied, pointing to her chest.

Alexander followed her gesture, his heart heavy with regret. Victoria was a stunning beauty, as clear as crystal. How could he have let her suffer like this?

Looking up at her, he asked in a low voice, "Tell me, do you still like me?"

The sobbing girl fell silent, her tear-filled eyes fixed on the man before her.

"Do you still like me now?" Alexander asked again.

"I like Alexander," she replied, her voice weak and hoarse.

Alexander felt as if he had been struck in the heart. He cupped her face in his hands, looking into her eyes. "If you like me," he said, "then surrender yourself to me. Will you?"
