Chapter 87 Online Buzz, Mr. Harrington was Married

After Benjamin hung up the phone, Alexander suddenly rose with his phone in hand.
--
Early the next morning, there was a new top trending topic.
Harrington Company's CEO, married.
Clicking on those four words immediately revealed a photo inside.
The photo was of a marriage certificate, with important details redacted and the woman's face obscured, but judging by the stamp, it was undoubtedly a marriage certificate.
Soon, someone confirmed it at the Marriage License Bureau.
Mr. Harrington had indeed gotten married over two years ago.
What was more significant was the immediate reports that Mr. Harrington had gone shopping for a women's handbag as a gift for his wife the previous day.
Additionally, photos from the restaurant were leaked.
Although they were all blurred, he was undeniably close to a young woman; he was even holding her hands.
Hence, everyone assumed the hand being held belonged to his wife.
The comments section quickly erupted.
If it wasn't the rumored heiress of Rohan Company, who was his wife?
When Victoria saw all this, she was stunned.
Meanwhile, Alexander remained unfazed.
After freshening up, Victoria glanced at her phone and then immediately rushed over to the couch, "Mr. Harrington, you're trending?"
"Hmm?"
The man sleeping on the couch was already in a bad mood and hearing her anxious tone made it worse.
Seeing his furrowed brow, Victoria assumed he was worried about another potential conflict with Isabella.
She showed him her phone, "Someone online is saying you're married, and they've confirmed it at the Marriage License Bureau."
Alexander didn't even get up; he didn’t even bother to look at her phone.
He simply asked in a detached tone, "Is there a photo of you?"
"No."
Victoria responded after carefully confirming.
"Why are you in such a rush, then?"
Victoria was momentarily at a loss for words.
Yes, why was she in a rush?
She hadn't said the woman was her.
But the photo of the document did resemble their marriage certificate.
"Why does it seem like the photo of our marriage certificate was taken at the Harrington Family's old mansion?"
Victoria couldn't help but ask him.
She was still quite nervous; she was really worried things might escalate.
But he remained calm.
Was he not fully awake? Did he not understand what this meant?
"Alexander, you're being rumored to be married."
"Victoria, I am already married." He said sternly as he suddenly turned impatiently to face her.
Victoria was once again left speechless.
Finally, Alexander sat up, set the blanket aside, and pinched his brow in annoyance, "Don't you understand? If I'm truly married, the whole world will eventually know."
"Will they know that you're married to me? When should we get divorced? Can we do it as soon as possible? Today?" Victoria hurriedly suggested.
Such matters were better dealt with sooner rather than later.
Upon hearing this, Alexander suddenly looked at her with a lack of energy.
"Did you sleep well?" Alexander asked her out of the blue.
"Yes."
Victoria gazed at him, thinking he wanted to quickly proceed with the divorce, so she readily agreed.
"Alright then, I'll borrow the bed for a nap."
Saying this, Alexander got up and swiftly headed towards the bed.
Perplexed, Victoria watched his figure, following it until he lay down on her bed.
Alexander simply wanted a good night's sleep. He had foolishly suffered from insomnia last night.
All because she went to a singles social event?
Ha!
Upon her return, she didn't even try and explain, nor did she apologize.
She showed no awareness of being a married woman.
But...
As he lay on the familiar pillow, he found that it was completely bathed in her scent.
That refreshing fragrance made him even more frustrated, prompting him to pull the covers over his head.
Observing his series of actions, Victoria suddenly felt at a loss.
That... that was her blanket.
