Chapter 440 Don't Leave

Alexander sat on the sofa outside, silent for a long time. Inside the restaurant, Victoria, slightly intoxicated, was complaining, "He thinks he can toy with me, but I'll tell you, I've seen through him long ago. He's the real fool."

Olivia sighed helplessly as she watched Victoria's eyes get mistier when Victoria talked, thinking, 'Victoria is truly drunk. Why is Victoria drinking alone so much at home today? Could it be because of what happened today? Edward said Alexander found the person who had hurt her before. Was it because Alexander mishandled the situation?'

"Olivia, don't go. I don't want to sleep alone," Victoria, in a daze, still managed to make a request.

"Okay, I won't go," Olivia promised.

Later, Olivia helped Victoria lie down on the table and sleep and then went to the living room. "Victoria has fallen asleep. Mr. Harrington, do you have a low emotional quotient?"

Alexander looked up at her. Olivia, who was younger, usually addressed him respectfully only when asking for favors.

'Why does she call me tonight? Yes, it is because she wants to scold me for his low emotional intelligence.' Alexander sighed helplessly. "The door is over there. You can see yourself out."

"You should take care of her well. An only daughter should be happy if her parents love her," Olivia said.

Alexander suddenly couldn't say anything, thinking, 'Yes, Olivia's words undoubtedly blame me for letting her lose the one who could have loved her, and now I am not loving her enough.'

"I'm leaving, but don't hurt her again. You heard her, right? Her sadness comes from not being able to see your true feelings," Olivia said softly before quietly leaving so as not to disturb Victoria.

Alexander got up immediately after Olivia left and went to the restaurant, wanting to pick up Victoria and put her back in bed immediately. But Victoria was lying there, sleeping peacefully, making Alexander reluctant to disturb her.

When Victoria was asleep from drinking, it was best not to wake her up, or she would definitely get angry.

However, Alexander couldn't help but gently stroke Victoria's soft hair, thinking, 'You are a fool. I do fall for you. But the idea of love at first sight, anyone would find it too real. I just wanted to figure out my feelings and what kind of emotions I have for you.'

But later, at the moment of getting married, Alexander never thought of divorcing Victoria. Whatever his feelings were, he had a responsibility towards Victoria.

Alexander bent down and gently picked up Victoria from the chair and carried her away.

They weren't together because of responsibility. His steps were large yet light, and soon, Alexander placed her on the small bed.

Victoria felt insecure lying down, immediately reaching out to hold his neck. "Don't go."

Alexander sat on the bed, letting her embrace him. He looked at her drunken face and softly said, "Tonight, you're the one who wants me to stay."

Victoria couldn't hear him anymore, feeling her ears ticklish. She let go of Alexander, turned to hug the pillow next to her, and fell asleep.

Alexander half-squinted at her actions, thinking, 'What does she mean? Is she abandoning me for the pillow?'

Victoria felt the softness in her arms and found it very comfortable.

Later on, in the bathroom, Alexander stood tall under the shower as if in a downpour, the foam quickly covering his sexy body.

Alexander thought, 'Victoria loved me. I want to possess her.'

But when he returned to bed, Victoria immediately rejected his slightly cold body because he had just showered. "No, it's cold."

She hugged the pillow tighter, rejecting his coolness. Alexander had to stay behind her for a while until he warmed up.

Then, he slowly approached Victoria again, wrapping his strong arm gently around her waist and carefully pulling her into his embrace.

That night, she had a dream. She was running on a mountain full of white roses, feeling very happy.

But when she woke up the next morning, she couldn't feel happy anymore.

'Fuck! Why is he in my bed again? We separated yesterday. I was drinking with Olivia last night, and Olivia said she wouldn't leave me!' Victoria immediately furrowed and tried to escape.

"Good morning," Alexander greeted.

Before Victoria could get up, Alexander pulled her back into his warm embrace.

"Alexander, let me go," Victoria said.

"Victoria, we made love last night," Alexander said.
