Chapter 422 Alexander Is Too Active
Victoria hoped he would bring up the topic himself without her needing to ask.
"Are you unhappy so early in the morning? Menstrual cramps again?"Alexander asked.
"You're the one with menstrual cramps," Victoria replied.
Alexander walked towards the desk, looking at her with a puzzled expression, thinking, 'Victoria has some issues that she is so angry early in the morning.'
"Aren't you supposed to go to the factory later? Do you forget?" Alexander reminded her.
Victoria was taken aback. She was so caught up in being angry with him that she almost forgot about the important matters. She immediately approached him and said, "Please, Mr. Harrington, check these two documents first. If everything is fine, you can sign them first."
Alexander took the documents but couldn't help but stare at her intently.
Victoria lowered her gaze, and Alexander couldn't help but smile softly and ask her, "What's going on exactly? Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, or are you upset because we slept with separate blankets last night?"
Victoria thought, 'Do we Share a blanket? Does he think she doesn't know he later snuck into her bed?'
Victoria was very complex, not wanting to bring up that matter, and urged him, "Please, Mr. Harrington, sign the documents first."
Alexander, however, slowly placed the documents on the desk and, leaning back against it with his arms crossed, stared at her. "Unless you tell me what's wrong, I won't look at these."
He had gone too far.
Victoria couldn't help but glare at him. "Fine, don't look at them." She turned to leave.
Alexander furrowed his brows in confusion, watching her move further away. Eventually, he couldn't resist and caught up with her. "Hey, Victoria, I warn you not to be too..." Before he could finish the sentence about bullying, he heard a loud. Alexander stopped, hands on his hips, and sighed helplessly. Victoria dared to slam the door.
Later, Victoria ignored him at the factory, so Alexander had no choice but to bring her some water. "Have some water."
Victoria, engrossed in listening to the factory manager's introduction of materials, glanced briefly at the cup in his hand but continued to listen to the manager.
Alexander sighed and said, "Nobody has used it, Victoria? Darling?"
Victoria glanced at him, initially angry, but his flattering smile immediately softened her heart, so she took the cup and held it close.
Everyone was seriously listening to the factory manager, so it wasn't the right time for her to drink. She didn't drink, but her heart felt warm.
There was a saying online that a man who told you to drink water didn't really love you, but a man who brought water to you definitely loved you. Yet, Victoria still felt a bit sad because some wounds were hard to heal.
Alexander thought she was still upset and whispered to her, "It's a new cup. I have it cleaned before giving it to you. It's very clean."
However, the surrounding staff heard it and couldn't help but stare at them for a long time. Later, realizing they were a couple, they all smiled.
The factory manager, in his fifties, asked kindly, "Did you two have a fight?"
"Yes, although I don't know the reason, it must be my fault." Alexander stared at Victoria, especially seriously.
Victoria couldn't help but look at him. Why did she feel he was a bit too active?
Alexander saw her looking at him and immediately smiled again.
After leaving the factory and on their way back to South City, Victoria glanced at him, almost ready to question him but held back due to the driver.
Alexander deliberately sat next to her.
Victoria glanced down at the space between them, couldn't help but stretch her neck to look at his side, and whispered, "Excuse me, is there an invisible person sitting next to Alexander?"
"What?" Leander was stunned.
"Otherwise, why is Alexander so close to me?" Victoria asked again.
"Leander, Victoria is quite humorous, isn't she?"
The company driver who was called out in front nodded with a smile. "Yes, Victoria is both humorous and lovely."
Alexander's expression suddenly changed when he heard this. "How do you know so much? Don't think about other people's wives for no reason."
