Chapter 514 Drank Sweet Wine

That night, Isabella stood by her bedroom window, chugged a big glass of red wine, and glared at the black car in the yard.

She ran into Victoria again the next day at the bar, where Janaye had invited her to a birthday party.

Around eleven, Isabella stepped out of the private room, ready to leave, but bumped into Victoria.

Isabella sneered, "I heard you took wedding photos. Feeling happy, huh?"

"Definitely happier than you," Victoria shot back and walked away.

Isabella grabbed Victoria's hand and asked, "Wanna bet?"

"Bet on what?" Victoria asked.

"One day, you'll come crying to beg me," Isabella said arrogantly.

Victoria just smiled faintly, shook off her hand, and left.

This time, Isabella didn't call Thaddeus to stop her. She just stood upstairs, staring at her for a long time, silently vowing, 'I'll never let Victoria have a good life. She doesn't deserve a grand wedding.'

As soon as Victoria walked out the door, Mark opened the car door for her.

She got in and immediately saw the extra person inside, happily throwing herself at him. "Why are you here?"

Alexander sighed. "Do you know what time it is? I was worried about you being alone."

"Don't be like this," Victoria said, "Right now, everything revolves around me. What if in a few years, I'm no longer young, and you don't care about me as much? I can't handle that."

Alexander looked at her and asked, "What if you can't handle it?"

"I'll make a fuss."

"Why do I feel a bit excited about that?"

"What?" Victoria was puzzled.

Alexander teased, "What would you be like when you make a fuss? Like those women in movies, wearing out their husbands?"

"Stop talking nonsense." Victoria poked him, aware they weren't alone in the car.

Alexander held her and kissed her hair, asking, "Did you run into Isabella?"

Victoria looked up and asked, "How did you know?"

"The smell is quite strong." Alexander looked at her with sparkling eyes, lovingly stroked her hair, and kissed her forehead.

Victoria looked at him for a few seconds, then said, "So, you don't like this smell either, right?"

"Of course not," Alexander responded seriously.

Victoria looked at him for a while, then lowered her eyes, quietly lying on his chest.

Recently, they often talked about their likes and dislikes.

They had been trying to open up to each other lately.

But thinking about what Isabella had said made Victoria nervous.

She hoped the entanglement between them would end someday.

Isabella's current behavior made Victoria unsure if she liked Alexander or just enjoyed tormenting her.

She leaned against Alexander's chest, which had become her favorite thing to do in the past month.

But in the wee hours, she feared losing him, feeling anxious and insecure.

They had suddenly become so good that it seemed like they had never gone through those bad times.

Victoria was even starting to forget that Alexander had left right after they got married.

She thought that was probably his rebellion, a silent protest against the marriage arranged by his family.

After all, in the past few months, Alexander's behavior showed that he liked her.

He even admitted that he liked her.

When Victoria felt uneasy, she would wrap her arms around Alexander's waist, which made her feel better.

Alexander seemed to sense her thoughts and gently kissed her forehead, lingering for a long time before pulling away.

Victoria liked this feeling; it comforted her.

Someone once said a woman could tell if a man loved her by how quickly he left after sex.

If he left right after, he definitely didn't love her. But if he stayed and cared about her feelings, it was true love.

Back at Regal Retreat, Benjamin opened the door and called out, "Alexander, do you want to discuss the wedding details?"

Alexander glanced over but still pressed the elevator button, saying, "Later."

Benjamin nodded, then closed the door, and Alexander took Victoria into the elevator.

Victoria said softly, "I can go up by myself."

Alexander told her not to worry about the wedding and just be a beautiful bride. She didn't want to take up his time, especially since his friends were helping.

Alexander affectionately remarked, "I still want to spend more time with you."

His long fingers lifted to touch her face. He originally just wanted to touch her face, but once he did, he couldn't help but get closer.

Victoria leaned against the elevator wall, holding her breath. "This isn't good for your health."

"So you know it's bad for my health," Alexander complained, feeling a bit wronged. After catching her shy glance, he held her chin, making her look up, and then his lips met hers.

Alexander didn't know what kind of wine she drank tonight, but it was quite sweet.

He couldn't help but suck on her lips repeatedly, sliding over her tongue, and murmured, "Darling, what kind of wine did you drink?"

"What?" Victoria was puzzled, thinking, 'It was just regular wine.'

Her mind was a bit fuzzy because his kiss was too enticing, too erotic.

"Why is it so sweet?" Alexander mumbled, his hands starting to move.

Victoria felt a weight on her waist, and then her chest started to feel hot. She quickly held onto his strong arm, but his arm was so firm that she couldn't grip it tightly.

Her thinking ability was only enough to remind her of who she was. She couldn't even think about her own safety.

In front of him, it seemed she didn't need to worry about that.

Although he always seemed fierce and ruthless, he still prioritized her safety.

"Why is it so sweet?" Alexander was about to press her down, his body uncontrollably getting closer to hers.

Victoria felt something was off. She thought, 'Why is Alexander suddenly like this?'

"This is the eleva..." Victoria couldn't even finish her sentence before Alexander lifted her off the ground.

Without any words, he just kissed her deeper and more passionately.

'Why haven't we had the wedding yet?' Alexander thought, feeling like he couldn't hold on any longer.

Being with Victoria like this every day, it was really hard for Alexander to control himself.

In the past, Alexander could remember that Victoria had used to say no and barely restrain himself.

But now, she said, "It's up to you."

One night, Victoria said that after confirming their relationship, she wouldn't stop him anymore.

She was scared, but not the kind of scared that made it impossible. Every girl would be scared the first time, but they would also have expectations.

Leaving it up to self-control really tested human nature.

As soon as the elevator opened, Alexander immediately carried Victoria out.

Victoria clung to his shoulders to ensure her safety, her face blushing so much it could almost drip blood.

His narrow waist was very firm, and below that...

Confused, she watched as he rushed in, shedding his coat. At the door, he was already sucking on her neck, eager to meld with her instantly.
