Chapter 935 Separation Was Fine

"Which kind?" Diana asked in confusion.

"The one related to sleep." Curtis looked at Diana, who was focused on savoring her soup, and said.

"Alright." She replied.

Diana slowly drank her soup. It was exactly the flavor she liked. As she looked at the bottom of the bowl, she couldn't help but sigh inwardly.

What was he thinking?

She had a premonition that this was prepared for her.

Juliette had always been polite to her, probably because...

Could it all have been fake from the start?

Did he just find Juliette to act so that Diana would give up?

But if he wanted her to give up...

She glanced at the suitcase and then thought about the soup she was drinking and the fact that she was sitting next to him at this hour.

She looked at him meaningfully, only to see him staring at his phone with a somewhat unhappy expression.

She leaned over to take a look. It turned out to be Juliette's social media post announcing her wedding, with a photo of the invitation.

'Is it all just my imagination? Does he really like Juliette? Is he sad for Juliette right now?' Diana thought.

She scrutinized him again, feeling suddenly very unhappy. She stood up, "I should go back."

He put down his phone. "When Juliette gets married, will you go to the wedding with me?"

"Sure."

Her heart felt cold, and she couldn't smile. After agreeing, she dragged her suitcase and left.

Curtis walked her to the door. Seeing her leave without looking back, he called out, "Ms. Harrington, good night."

Diana unlocked the door with facial recognition, but she didn't turn back when she heard his voice.

The exhilaration and delight she experienced upon arrival had abruptly dissipated. She now perceived only a desolate future ahead. Once inside her room, she gently placed her suitcase against the wall. But within seconds, she couldn't help but turn around and look through the peephole. He had just closed his door.

Feeling empty inside, she stood by the door for a while, then received a call from Alexander.

"Are you home?"

"Yes."

"What do you think of Andre?"

"What?"

"Grandmom is thinking of introducing Andre to you as your boyfriend."

Alexander hung up after saying that.

Diana's mind buzzed. Wasn't that the boy who used to follow her around with a runny nose?

If everyone had a companion in childhood, Victoria's companion was the silent Alexander, and Diana's was Andre.

The next morning.

Victoria bent over behind Strawberry, her hands hovering on either side of Strawberry, guiding her to the door. Then the door opened.

Strawberry crouched down in fear.

Victoria broke into a cold sweat and was about to pick up Strawberry.

But Strawberry looked up at Alexander, then suddenly smiled and reached out, "Daddy."

"Good girl."

Alexander easily picked Strawberry up from the ground and then held Victoria's arm to help her up.

"Why do you shout when Strawberry falls?"

Victoria felt slightly embarrassed and softly replied, "I didn't fall. Why are you helping me up?"

"I'm just worried your back pain will keep you from getting up." He said.

Victoria fell silent.

Alexander, holding Strawberry, glanced at her. Strawberry reached out, wanting to go outside. Alexander carried Strawberry out the door and saw Barbara, who was there to take care of Strawberry.

Strawberry immediately went to Barbara, but Alexander suddenly turned back, "Did you figure out last night's issue?"

Victoria lowered her eyes as soon as he mentioned it last night.

But she stubbornly said she hadn't figured it out.

She didn't want to continue their relationship.

Even if everything was real, their misunderstandings had reached such a point that there was no need to stay together.

Separation was fine.
