Chapter 428 Official Proposal

Victoria looked inside and whispered to Olivia and the general manager, "I think I hear Alexander calling me. Do you hear that?"

Olivia and the general manager were a bit nervous. Olivia couldn't help but touch the back of her head.

Olivia decided to take Victoria out drinking more often in the future, to train her alcohol tolerance well, to prevent her from being tricked by bad people again.

"Come in." Another voice came from inside.

It was a command, solemn, serious, and suppressive. Victoria instinctively walked in while Olivia and the general manager followed and stood at the door. Victoria walked in step by step, cautiously and carefully.

"Alexander, is that you?" Victoria asked softly.

The man on the sofa turned to look at her with a furrowed brow. It was quiet inside, as if there was no one else there, even though there were several cameras at the door.

He quickly got up and walked towards her, asking, "How much do you drink?"

He checked her worriedly, then glanced displeasedly at the door.

Olivia couldn't help but shrug awkwardly, not blaming her. They were having a good time drinking.

"I drink with Olivia. We had a great time drinking," Victoria explained softly as she saw his displeasure. Alexander frowned. "So, aren't you drunk?"

"No, why are you here?" Victoria asked curiously.

For some reason, even though her vision was blurry, he looked so handsome tonight. Did he even wear a tie?

"Who helped you with the tie? Isn't it said that only wives and secretaries can help with it?" Victoria asked, pinching his tie.

"Take a good look. Is it the one you helped me with that day? I haven't untied it since then," Alexander replied.

"It's the one I helped you with that day." Victoria examined it carefully and seemed relieved. Alexander just stared at her straight, feeling like they should skip the proposal and go straight upstairs to bed.

"Come." Alexander took her hand and led her inside.

There were white candles arranged in front of the windows to spell out 'I love you,' surrounded by many roses.

Victoria couldn't help but stop there, hesitating. "What are you going to do?" She looked up at him.

Alexander looked down at her. "Do you like it?"

"I do." She nodded.

Alexander already knew she wasn't quite sober at the moment, but intoxication didn’t mean insincerity. She should be more real now than ever.

"Olivia mentioned that when I left in my childhood, you were sad for a long time. Is that true?" Victoria asked, recalling Olivia's words vividly.

The sudden mention of those memories took them aback Alexander, but they could only tell the truth, "Yes."

Victoria listened, her eyes suddenly moist. "I don't remember. I'm sorry. I don't remember at all." Victoria suddenly hugged his chest, apologizing tenderly, feeling guilty for not remembering how sad he had been for her.

"It's Okay," He comforted her softly, then held her arms and asked her to stand properly.

Wanting only to lean on him and being helped up by him did not make her very happy, but she remembered her mother saying that girls should be more reserved, so she tried to be reserved.

"Do you still love me?" Alexander asked.

"I do." Victoria nodded.

"Stand properly," Alexander said.

"I am." She had already sunk into his gentle gaze, obediently standing still.

Alexander took out the previous diamond ring from his pocket and knelt in front of her again. "Will you marry me?"
