Chapter 466 Allowance
"Yes." Victoria nodded in agreement, seeming silly.
Alexander looked at her, her long, gentle eyelashes trembling, and her big, watery eyes seemed to hold endless tenderness. He felt a soft, warm sensation in his heart.
His hand around her waist unconsciously tightened slightly, and he looked at her directly, struggling to keep his voice calm. "It's good that you feel pressured. Keep it up."
Actually, as a man with normal orientation, He really wanted to make love to her right now to prevent other men from thinking about her.
Victoria didn't know what he was talking about, whispering, "I'll pay back the remaining money."
"Ask Isabella for her debt. What I gave you is pocket money for my delicate, young wife to play with, understand?" He said.
What?
Wasn't he repaying Isabella's debt?
Was he giving it to his delicate, young wife?
She wasn't delicate!
And she wasn't that young!
Victoria looked at him, and after a long time, she realized that his words had insulted her twice.
"Why are you staring at me? Do youwant to make love with me?" Alexander suddenly said.
Victoria snapped back to reality. "I don't want to make love with you!"
"It's normal if you do. I'm your husband. If you want to, I can right now..." He said.
"Alexander," Victoria interrupted.
"What?" He pretended not to understand.
Victoria angrily pushed him away and turned to the room.
Alexander couldn't help but touch his own heart, wanting her warmth to linger on him a bit longer.
However, Victoria sat silently on the edge of the bed for a long time.
She thought he was really strange.
Why was he like this?
He had just been with that woman last night and even got himself hurt.
Didn't he know how serious a car accident could be?
He should be careful when driving. What if something happened to him?
Victoria's tears fell uncontrollably.
When the door opened, she immediately turned away and wiped her tears forcefully.
She didn't want him to know how worried she was.
She had heard about that early in the morning and barely managed to conceal her feelings to avoid worrying about him, but she dreamed about him.
Alexander approached. "Are you crying?"
Victoria ignored him, trying to calm herself down, and said to him, "Go."
"You have a fever. As your husband, shouldn't I look after you rather than go out to enjoy myself?" Alexander said.
With red eyes, Victoria turned to look at him.
Did he want to take care of her?
Unfortunately, she couldn't afford it.
"Have fun yourself. I never see you as my husband, and you don't need to put pressure on yourself," Victoria retorted.
"Then what do you see me as?" Alexander asked her.
Victoria looked at him for a long time. She thought, 'Maybe a creditor.'
Otherwise, why was she always controlled and influenced by him?
He deceived her time and again, and yet she always wanted to love him.
It was as if everything he did had a reason.
He had his logic, which she didn't understand and shouldn't misinterpret.
He was her husband, so of course, he loved her the most. Isabella was just a mistress he would never match up with a wife.
After glancing at him, Victoria realized she was losing her mind.
How could she be so stupid?
Alexander's phone rang. He glanced at it, then at her, and turned to answer it outside, "What's going on?"
"Don't meet. From today on, we'll grab any business from the Montgomery family." Alexander ended the phone.
Victoria was still outside, secretly sad. Who did he say he was going to grab business from?
She didn't hear clearly, but she knew he was going to make a lot of money again.
Whenever he set his sights on a project, he always got it.
When he and Isabella were out of town for those two years, they really secured many projects.
He was capable and resourceful, but he was too unfaithful in relationships.
Had he never considered being loyal to one woman?
To him, were women just toys for venting his lust?
Alexander stood at the door looking at his phone for a while, then turned to look at her and reminded her, "Come out and eat."
Victoria didn't understand him at all, so she angrily lay down to sleep.
"Three, two, one." Alexander counted faintly, standing at the door, not looking inside.
Victoria got up and went out when he counted to one.
Alexander couldn't hold back a smile and then followed her to eat.
She slept all afternoon.
In the evening, Adrian came to see her again. She thought it was Alexander and weakly said from the bed, "Go away."
"Victoria, it's me," Adrian said.
"Adrian?" She was stunned.
Victoria heard the voice, immediately got up, and looked at him curiously.
"Why are you here again?" Victoria asked.
"Don't you want to see me?" Adrian asked.
"No, aren't you filming?" She said.
"Just wrapping up, and I was worried about you having a fever," he added.
He said as he walked in, holding a peach, "I saved this peach just for you."
Victoria looked at the peach, which seemed very sweet, but her stomach felt a bit sour. She looked up at him, "Adrian, you can't keep coming to see me without Ivan's permission."
"Why?" Adrian asked.
"Because she's your agent, and she looks out for you," Victoria replied.
"But I'm worried about you," he said, sitting by her bed.
Soon, the doorbell rang again. They looked outside, and Adrian was annoyed. "It must be Ivan. I'll go explain to her."
"Victoria?" Someone called out.
Two minutes later, Adrian was stunned at the door.
Eloise looked at him, also surprised. "Adrian, why are you here?"
"Victoria is sick. I'm here to see her," Adrian replied.
"Alright." Eloise agreed but felt uneasy. She went straight to Victoria's bedroom.
Victoria heard the voice and got up. Eloise frowned when she saw her in her pajamas.
Young men and women who weren't married were being together like this...
Victoria also noticed Eloise's displeasure and quickly greeted her nicely, "Grandma. Harrington, why are you here?"
"Alexander said you had a fever, and I was worried, so I came to check on you," Eloise said.
Eloise looked at her again. Victoria was barefoot, and boys would definitely be attracted to those cute little feet.
"With guests at home, you should dress properly," Eloise gently reminded her.
Victoria looked down at her outfit. "Okay."
She had to agree obediently.
Eloise was right.
"Grandma Harrington, she was sleeping because of the fever and didn't know I was coming," Adrian explained.
"What? Then how did you get in?" Eloise asked.
"I know the password to her room," Adrian said directly.
He knew why Eloise was upset, but he did know the password and came in himself.
"You know the password?" Eloise said unbelievably.
"Mrs. Harrington, she's not just my sister-in-law. If Alexander really cared for her, he wouldn't leave her alone with a fever. If he doesn't cherish her, why can't others care?" Adrian said.
"Are you out of your mind? No matter what, she's still your sister-in-law," Eloise retorted.
"But when I met her, she wasn't my sister-in-law," Adrian said.
Eloise suddenly stopped talking, feeling that things were getting worse.
When Alexander returned, he heard these words. He was carrying fruit and walked to the door.
Victoria saw a figure out of the corner of her eye and looked up. When she saw Alexander, he was already walking toward her and holding her hand, saying seriously, "But she is now."
