Chapter 93 Finding Her a Good Home
Victoria felt like she was going crazy.
How could he still tease her at a time like this?
"Alexander, you're just..." Victoria began.
"Mr. Harrington, Mr. Montgomery is here."
Jasmine interrupted them and knocked on the door again.
Alexander remained calm and composed, looking straight at her. "What should we do? You're about to be found out."
Enraged, Victoria twisted her wrist in his hand for a long time before he let go.
She then turned and ran into the lounge.
Alexander glanced at the closed door of the lounge and suddenly burst into laughter.
Silly girl.
When Mark entered, Alexander was casually walking towards the desk while touching his lower lip.
"Been busy lately?" Mark sat on the sofa and asked him.
"Yeah." Alexander replied, flipping through some papers on the desk before casually joining him.
Mark studied Alexander's expression, especially when he saw his lips, he unconsciously frowned and asked, "By the way, I didn't see Victoria when I came up just now. Is she not working today?"
"She came; she probably had other things to attend to."
Alexander said methodically while glancing towards the lounge.
"Alexander, I won't beat around the bush with you. You've been with Isabella for so long; she even ran off to another city for two whole years for you, You said you'd marry her when she came back, but this morning news of your marriage leaked. Can we finalize things between you and Isabella as soon as possible?" Mark said.
Mr. Montgomery was a master strategist. He has been a gladiator in the business world for many years; he was calm and fierce; these were the traits that defined him.
Alexander looked at him with a faint smile and replied, "No rush."
"No rush? But Isabella is pregnant now. If we don't hurry, it won't look good for her to get married when she's showing. You know, girls care about their looks; it's not good to marry with a big belly." Mark said.
Mark was not pleased to hear him say there was no rush.
But would Alexander care if someone was pleased or not?
No one could make Alexander do something he didn't want to do.
"I will personally talk to Isabella," Alexander said.
"Alexander, as a father, I must ask you for a clear answer. Are you willing to marry Isabella?" Mark asked.
"I am a married man now; what do you think?" Alexander replied and smiled calmly.
Mr. Montgomery was angry, but he knew how Alexander normally handled things, so he didn't lose his temper.
He just looked at the young man in front of him, whose demeanor was much stronger than before. The fierceness in his eyes was something he could not ignore.
"If it's because of that girl, I have an idea that benefits everyone." Mark suddenly spoke up.
Alexander's dark eyes immediately turned towards him. "Oh? Let's hear it."
In fact, he was already displeased.
Mark could see that, but he continued, "A few CEOs have seen her and think she's not bad; they want to take her in."
In the lounge, Victoria's heart was pounding as she listened.
Take her in?
What did that mean?
"If you feel guilty towards her because of her parents' situation, find her a good home and advise them to treat her well." Mark continued.
Alexander silently touched his lips, his gaze fixed on the immaculate desk in front of him. How could he bear to hand her over?
He couldn't help but glance towards the lounge.
Victoria was standing by the door, almost breathless with fear.
Would he really give her to someone else?
"It's actually a good idea." Alexander finally said.
