Chapter 1014 Tori, Please Talk to Me
"Even if you don't want to go public, doesn't Juliette want to?"
"We're not dating."
Diana felt a warmth in her heart, glanced at him meaningfully, and then lowered her head to eat her noodles.
He sounded so convincing.
But was it true?
She couldn't forget the moment he held Juliette in his arms to comfort her.
"What about you and your guy? Does your family know?"
Curtis asked another question.
"Oh, he's somewhat familiar with Alexander."
Diana didn't want to talk much, but it seemed there was nothing else to discuss.
"So Alexander introduced him to you?"
"No, he's my classmate's brother."
"So you must have already checked out his character and background. Looks like I need to prepare a wedding gift."
Curtis smiled warmly.
His smile felt like it was burning her heart.
Somehow, the conversation kept revolving around the people behind them, switching between Juliette and Yosef.
Diana even thought, maybe they should just pair up.
While Curtis was washing the dishes, he noticed the watch she had given him on his wrist. He turned to her and said, "By the way, let's invite him for dinner sometime. I'll host."
"What kind of host are you?"
"As your ex, I trust you have good taste in men, right?"
He retorted.
Diana felt annoyed, but after a moment, she agreed, suppressing her frustration, "Fine, let's do it here. Invite him, and you cook."
"Deal."
Curtis agreed with a smile.
After cleaning the kitchen, he poured two glasses of red wine and handed her one.
They sat on the couch, watching a show and drinking wine, while outside, it snowed like a scene from a drama.
"You have something on your face."
"What is it?"
Diana was lost in thought, and when she looked at him, he was already close.
His hand pressed against the corner of her lips, making her forget to breathe, her face turning red.
"Don't move, let me see."
He said, getting even closer.
Diana felt something was off. What needed to be seen so closely?
Her phone rang, and she suddenly turned, pushing him away. "What are you doing?"
"Not kissing you."
Curtis laughed, stood up, and went to get his phone.
After he left, Diana rubbed her chest hard.
He seemed so at ease, but she was a mess, her heart about to jump out.
She regretted not having a staff member deliver the food, which would have been better than being with him like this.
Curtis was very busy tonight, taking at least ten calls.
This clearly showed his popularity. Celebrating a birthday at home with noodles, yet everyone in town seemed to know.
Diana soon got up to leave.
Curtis finished his call and returned, "Wait a moment."
"What for?"
"Take this to eat."
It was a box of pastries.
Diana first noticed the watch on his wrist, then the pastries.
"I don't want it, I'm on a diet."
She wanted to leave.
"I have to go to school early tomorrow. Use it as your breakfast."
He reminded her calmly.
Diana felt like a spring inside her was being bounced around.
She wouldn't starve from skipping a meal.
Besides, who said she would come to eat his breakfast?
But she took the pastries anyway.
Back home, she held the pastries for a while, feeling a bit pathetic, and then placed them on the cabinet by the door.
After showering, Diana noticed a missed call from Alexander and decided to call him back.
While waiting for him to answer, she realized how much she wanted to see Curtis, even fearing interruptions, so she put her phone on silent.
He answered, his voice sounding a bit hoarse, "Hey, what's up?"
"You called me, so I'm calling back to see what's up. Everything okay?"
"Are you home?"
"Yeah, I'm home."
"Then get some rest. That's all."
He quickly hung up.
Diana frowned in confusion. Why call for nothing?
Still, Alexander's concern touched her.
Serenade Villa.
In the quiet bedroom, Alexander lay against Victoria's neck, breathing heavily.
"Diana sure knows how to pick a time."
Victoria couldn't speak, her face flushed.
Only a bedside lamp cast a warm yellow light, making the room feel particularly intimate.
Alexander tried to calm his breathing, while Victoria clutched the sheets beneath her.
His chest pressed against her as he breathed.
After calming down, Alexander rolled off her, found a silk scarf, and continued to tie their wrists together.
Victoria instinctively tried to pull away, but was held tightly by him. "If you run away, it's no big deal, but what if you fall down the stairs?"
"You've always been afraid of pain."
He finished tying their wrists.
Victoria stopped struggling after hearing his words. But her heart still felt tight.
She didn't know what to say. She didn't want to be tied up. She could promise not to run away, but what if she needed to use the bathroom at night?
Before she knew it, he was in front of her again.
When she realized, his breath was on her face, very hot.
Then, in less than a second, he kissed her lips, holding her chin with just two fingers.
Victoria's breath was immediately cut off, stunned by his kiss.
This time, he kissed slowly and whispered to her, "You can kiss me too, honey."
Victoria's mind was a mess, trying to untangle it, and then her lips moved.
Alexander stiffened at her sudden response.
When he looked up at her, she lay there motionless.
But he felt her respond.
Was she really that obedient?
He placed his lips on hers again, gently rubbing, and whispered, "Keep going."
She tilted her head and kissed him again.
Alexander's hand immediately reached behind her waist, holding her, and said, "Hold me."
How to hold him?
Her hand was tied, so there was just one hand.
Alexander cursed inwardly, then before she could kiss him again, he turned and bit open the scarf on their wrists, then commanded, "Hold me with both hands."
Victoria immediately held him with both hands.
Alexander felt like he was ascending to heaven, seeing her so eager yet pretending to be calm, he couldn't help but laugh, "You little minx, torturing me, huh?"
Not letting him sleep, yet teasing him like this.
Victoria tried to cooperate with him. She didn't want to give nothing.
She knew, without giving, how could she gain?
She had to give up having more good days.
She didn't want to be sent away in this weather.
If she had to be kicked out, she hoped it would be next summer.
Her small hand slowly reached into his pajamas, his skin was burning hot, she started to panic, but didn't stop.
Alexander completely stopped, staring at her.
