Chapter 65 He Leisurely Fixated on Her Slender Figure.

Eleven o'clock at night, Regal Retreat.
The key slipped into the lock, and soon, the door swung open.
He stood by her bed, silently observing her peaceful slumber, unable to suppress the thought, ‘Fool, this is Regal Retreat.’
He had access to all the rooms in the house.
--
The next morning, when Victoria woke up, her neck was slightly sore.
The room was empty, with only her in it. The sofa remained unoccupied.
Upon realizing this, a strange emotion stirred within her, but it quickly dissipated.
Them not sharing a room was for the best.
After getting ready and heading to the door, she suddenly froze.
"Good morning."
Suddenly, a deep, restrained voice sounded, causing her to turn towards the source.
Alexander, clad in comfortable light-colored pajamas, leaned against the wall with his arms crossed.
His simple posture was captivating, but the lazy, mocking glint in his seemingly happy eyes almost ensnared her once more.
"Morning."
She snapped back to reality and responded.
Nonchalantly, she made her way downstairs.
Despite Alexander still leaning there, leisurely fixated on her slender figure, he finally mustered a wry smile before straightening up and striding towards the stairs.
"Good morning, Mrs. Harrington."
The nanny cheerfully greeted her as she descended.
"Good morning." Victoria returned the greeting gently.
The nanny found it heartwarming to see her smile.
Victoria's smile was as soft as a cotton candy.
Who wouldn't want such a gentle and intelligent woman, who was easy to converse with?
Each time she smiled, it felt like all the flowers in the world were in bloom.
"Good morning, Alexander."
The nanny also acknowledged the man following her.
"Morning."
Alexander's expression didn't match hers. He almost looked...sad.
Like a pitiful soul that had been banished from home.
Breakfast proceeded quietly until the nanny mentioned, "Old Lady Harrington is being discharged today."
"Oh, right, let's go pick up Grandma from the hospital."
Victoria’s expression immediately brightened, and she began discussing how she should congratulate Old Lady Harrington with the nanny.
"Alright, but, Mrs. Harrington, you have work."
The nanny gestured for her to talk to Alexander.
Victoria, however, avoiding his gaze, awkwardly smiled, "Oh, I forgot; I'll visit her in the evening then."
"Oh, if you don't pick up Old Lady Harrington, she'll surely be disheartened," The nanny added.
She believed that, as a couple, they lacked communication.
Regardless of that, they were obviously a talented and beautiful pair; it was like they were destined for each other.
Finally, Victoria glanced at him, but Alexander promptly refused, "No."
Both Victoria and the nanny felt a tinge of sadness.
His word was law, none could oppose him.
Victoria harbored no doubts; he was someone who would never easily change his mind.
After breakfast, they began their morning journey to work.
Alexander simply stated, "You'll ride in my car."
As they were about to exit the elevator, she turned to him, "I don't need to."
"Is it suitable for you to hitch a ride with your husband’s cousin every day?"
He suddenly inquired.
Victoria fell silent immediately.
Yes, ever since that incident, she had come to understand the relationship between the two men. Adrian explained everything over the phone.
Adrian was Alexander's cousin. Initially, she thought the shared surname was a mere coincidence, considering the abundance of Harringtons in the world.
Since she remained silent, Alexander assumed she agreed to ride in his car; he strode out of the elevator with purpose.
Victoria promptly followed, albeit a bit reluctantly.
"Alex, Vicky, what are you two up to? Off to work."
Isabella suddenly popped up, looking at them with surprise.
