Chapter 980 Fainting

At ten o'clock in the evening, the two entered the underground entertainment club.

Frank immediately spotted Diana and approached her, pretending to be a stranger hitting on her. "Ms. Harrington."

Diana looked up immediately upon hearing this address.

Curtis also noticed Frank and became alert.

"You didn't see me."

"I saw you."

"Just pretend you didn't see me."

Diana said as she quickly pulled Curtis away.

She thought to herself, she had disguised herself, yet Frank still recognized her, and he was so stubborn.

"Is he your suitor?" Curtis asked.

Diana was momentarily stunned, then glanced at Curtis with her big eyes.

The two sat in a corner, and soon someone brought drinks and a fruit platter.

Diana knew from the items brought that this place was controlled by Alexander.

She ate the food with ease and even stuffed a piece into Curtis's mouth, saying, "He's my Victoria's bodyguard."

"Relax and eat; this place is under their control," Diana added.

Curtis's frown slightly relaxed, but he asked her in a low voice, "So he's not your suitor."

"He has a wife. His wife, Eve, had a miscarriage while trying to save Victoria. He loves Eve very much."

Curtis frowned again, feeling that Diana's family was facing too many dangers.

Since sitting down, Diana's eyes had not been at ease.

The place was too lively, with beautiful women performing on stage.

They were upstairs, watching the scantily clad, sexy women on stage, who were wearing masks. Diana didn't know why, but she felt very uneasy.

Soon, she couldn't help but wonder if Victoria would be sold to such a place to do such things.

But given Victoria's personality, how could she submit?

If not doing such things, what was Victoria doing?

Victoria was reportedly found here.

But it was just a rumor.

Diana's hand tightened, and she suddenly felt a bit agitated.

She finally understood why Alexander would rather believe it was true.

Because she thought the same way.

At least they had a place to look for Victoria.

Victoria would definitely not do such things. If Victoria came here, she would inevitably suffer some torment.

Diana's heart grew heavier, and she couldn't help but stand up.

"Sit down first."

Curtis pulled Diana back.

Diana lowered her head. "I need to find Victoria."

"If you look for her as soon as you arrive, you'll be noticed."

Diana had to sit back down, suppressing her urge until she had a few drinks, and it was midnight.

In such places, midnight was the most lively time.

Even though Alexander had searched the place last night, it was bustling tonight.

These men completely indulged themselves here, greedily eyeing the women around them.

"Let's take action."

"Okay."

Curtis agreed and stood up with her, but Diana suddenly leaned towards him.

"Why do I feel dizzy all of a sudden?"

Diana asked, confused.

Was she going to be sold too?

Curtis immediately held her as she passed out. Frank approached them again, "You must be Mr. Windsor?"

"What did you do to her?"

"She just needs to sleep. This environment is not suitable for her. Mr. Harrington wants you to take her away immediately."

Curtis then put away his displeased expression, picked up Diana, and left.

He didn't want Diana involved in this matter anyway.

Alexander was such a capable person. If Alexander couldn't find Victoria, how could Diana find her? Diana might even get hurt.

Since Frank had conveyed Alexander's instructions, Curtis took Diana away.

So the Harrington family had known about his existence for a long time?

He chuckled, thinking that as Diana's ex-boyfriend, they must have investigated all his information.

That was fine.

He looked at the sleeping Diana in his arms, thinking that this way, he didn't have to worry too much.

When Diana woke up, it was already seven o'clock the next morning. She immediately got up from the bed, looking dazedly ahead, her head feeling heavy.

Curtis was sleeping on the sofa in her room. Hearing the noise, he immediately sat up, "Diana?"

Diana turned her head upon hearing his voice and saw him. "Curtis? What's going on?"

She was stunned.

She remembered that last night she wanted to find Victoria, and then how did she wake up in her bed?

"Alexander doesn't want you to take risks."

"What?"

Diana frowned, thought for a while, and then couldn't help but curse, "That guy Alexander, just because he was born a little earlier than me, he really thinks of himself as the leader? He even dared to drug me?"

Seeing her so angry that she even cursed Alexander, Curtis felt a lot more at ease.

After cursing, Diana couldn't help but look for her phone, "Where's my phone?"

Curtis took it out of his pocket and handed it to her. Diana noticed he was still wearing yesterday's clothes and looked up at him, "You, have you been here all night?"

"Yes."

"Then..."

Diana felt a bit guilty, or perhaps she felt sorry for him staying up all night.

Seeing her pajamas, she couldn't help but widen her eyes at him, "What did you do?"

"First of all, although I put on your pajamas, you took off your previous clothes yourself."

"You know you don't like sleeping in your daytime clothes. I thought you'd be more settled after being drugged."

Diana awkwardly lowered her head. Of course, she knew she wasn't settled when she slept.

She quickly took her phone and called Alexander.

Curtis sat by her bed, and when she saw Curtis, she immediately blushed and lowered her eyes.

The call was answered quickly, and Curtis listened quietly.

"Alexander, is there any news about Victoria?"

Diana asked anxiously.

Unexpectedly, Alexander first asked if she was awake, which made her feel warm.

Hearing Alexander's hoarse voice, Diana felt heartbroken and said, "Don't worry, Alexander, I just want to help."

She continued, "Okay, I won't disturb you then. Goodbye."

Her words became more and more compliant.

Seeing her expression, Curtis knew how much she cared for Alexander and how much she listened to him.

After hanging up, she sighed while holding her phone, "Alexander seems to be sick from exhaustion. His voice sounded very hoarse."

Curtis just thought that any man whose wife was missing would be anxious and sick.

Diana looked up at him and said, "You should go back and rest. I'm fine here."

"Okay."

Curtis agreed but sat there for another half minute before saying, "Don't overthink it. Alexander is more capable than you."

"I know, I just want to help. Maybe I can find Victoria, too?"

"But that place is full of shady characters, and those people all look like trouble."

"Are you scared? Then in the future..."

"Diana, I'm a man. What do I have to be afraid of?" Curtis said.

Diana shut her mouth, thinking she had hurt his male pride.

"I'm worried about you."

Curtis sighed helplessly, then turned and left.

Diana held back for a few seconds, then called out as he reached the door, "Don't be mad at me. I didn't mean to belittle you."

Curtis smiled as he walked out, then turned back.

"Then why?"
