Chapter 863 Thoughtful Care

Victoria looked at Alexander with doubt.

He had chosen her, hadn't he?

Suddenly, she seemed to understand why Diana disliked her so much.

But after thinking for a while, she realized that Alexander had always been sending money to Diana and was always gentle and caring on the phone. He wasn't the type to ignore his sister; he cared a lot about Diana.

So what was Diana's problem?

Victoria was a bit curious. If Alexander married another woman, would Diana react so strongly?

The day before the holiday.

Olivia asked: [Do you want to go out and have fun?]

Victoria was at her desk and replied: [Sure.]

Alexander came out of his office, saw Victoria looking at her phone, and immediately walked over with his long strides. "I caught you chatting at work."

"Mr. Harrington, please don't dock my pay. I'm going on a trip."

"What?"

"I have agreed to go out with Olivia."

Victoria put her phone in front of his face.

Alexander held her wrist and looked down at her phone. The chat history with Olivia was clear.

But soon, he put the phone down and, holding her hand, seriously informed her, "I want to take you and Strawberry to the island for a vacation during the holiday."

Victoria was stunned.

Being with him wasn't like being on a vacation.

She felt a sense of being monitored and immediately lowered her eyes. "I'm not going."

She had other plans. Olivia's suggestion just happened to be useful, so she agreed. There were other things she needed to discuss with Olivia in advance.

"We haven't had a chance to spend time alone as a family of three. This is an opportunity." Alexander said patiently.

But Victoria felt he was holding her back.

This holiday was crucial for her.

Victoria suddenly thought that it wouldn't be good to always oppose him. After thinking for a moment, she smiled at him and softly said, "I'll go out with Olivia for two days, and then I'll go to the island with you. Or you can go to the island first and wait for me and Strawberry?"

"What? You want to take Strawberry with you?"

"Olivia will also help take care of Strawberry."

Alexander's deep eyes looked at her, suddenly silent.

The mood shifted abruptly, becoming icy, and Victoria quickly reacted, softly saying, "We plan to take more photos so that when Strawberry grows up, we can show them to her."

Victoria took her phone back, then got up to get her bag and put the phone inside. "It's time to get off work, right, Mr. Harrington?"

Alexander looked at her deliberately gentle demeanor and just smiled, "That's right, it's time to get off work."

"Then, see you later."

"Mrs. Harrington, where are you planning to go?" He said casually yet with complete authority.

Victoria had to turn around and politely look at Alexander, "I'm planning to have dinner with Olivia to discuss which attractions to visit and where to shop."

Alexander nodded and smiled, "I'll join you, and we'll call Edward. The four of us can have dinner together."

"What?"

"You and Olivia can discuss your plans. We won't drink tonight, and we'll be your drivers."

Victoria immediately became alert. After all, Alexander didn't seem like someone who would act as a driver.

"Let Eve or Frank come with me."

"They don't know you as well as I do."

Alexander said, walking forward, grabbing Victoria's hand, and leading her toward the elevator.

Victoria walked reluctantly, her heart racing.

She had to find a way to get rid of him. She thought of someone.

The person who had pulled her out of bed that morning, almost dislocating her arm.

Thinking of this, Victoria got into the car, unzipped her bag, and took out her phone.

But before she could find Diana's Facebook, the phone suddenly disappeared from her hand.

"Focus on thinking about what to eat later; don't look at your phone."

Alexander casually took the phone and threw it in the back.

Victoria followed his hand's movement and watched her phone lying on the back seat. She wanted to grab it, but the seatbelt held her back, and her hand was immediately grasped.

He didn't look away but said, "Don't move around, help me watch the road."

Victoria didn't know what to do, but she couldn't help glancing at her phone again.

Then, she looked at his handsome profile, feeling that both his personality and his face were cold.

She sat properly but lowered her head, stubbornly whispering, "Please let go of me."

She felt her hand being slowly released.

She looked up, somewhat puzzled, and slowly took her hand off his leg. Seeing him so focused on driving, she wondered if he had even held her hand just now.

Feeling uneasy, she held the hand he had grasped. She was scared that he had already seen through her secret thoughts, but she had to find a way.

If she couldn't leave him during this holiday, it would be even harder in the future.

Thinking about the possibility of leaving him made Victoria very excited, but she had to hide her feelings from him.

Alexander called Edward midway, and in the evening, the four of them sat in a private room at the Frosty Summit Hotel.

Olivia and Victoria were in the restroom with the door closed. Olivia looked at Victoria, "What's going on? Are they determined to follow us now?"

"I have an idea." Victoria tried to calmly tell Olivia.

"What?"

Olivia looked at Victoria's serious expression and felt it was a big deal.

"I want to..."

Victoria looked at Olivia, but she suddenly stopped.

Victoria thought, 'Is it right to tell Olivia about this?'

Olivia treated her like a sister, but Olivia also saw Alexander as a brother.

If Victoria revealed her whereabouts to Olivia, it would cause her a lot of trouble.

So, as Olivia's good friend, Victoria couldn't be too selfish.

"What are you thinking about?"

Olivia asked Victoria, puzzled.

Victoria shook her head and smiled softly, "Nothing much, just that we should drink less tonight."

"I know, if you get drunk, Alexander will tease you when you get home, right?"

Olivia looked at Victoria for a few seconds before mentioning it.

Victoria politely smiled, "Let's go out."

"Okay." Olivia agreed.

But Olivia, being a few years older than Victoria, thought more than Victoria did.

She felt that Victoria was definitely going to say something important but held back because of some consideration.

She hoped there was direct trust between them, without any interests or struggles.

But Olivia respected Victoria. She thought, 'Victoria must have her reasons for not saying anything.'

During dinner, Alexander thoughtfully served Victoria food, "Eat more."

"Thank you." Victoria didn't refuse.

"You're welcome."

Alexander's attractive fingers held the fork, not looking away.
