Chapter 81 Alexander Sat beside Her in Public.

Alexander walked up to her, looking down at her from above. "Why run? I don't bite," he said.
Victoria, however, kept her eyes lowered, unable to look at him again.
Alexander pinched her chin, his domineering gaze stealing all her rationality.
She stared at him blankly, unable to muster a natural reaction.
"Pass this message to everyone. In the future, Isabella is not allowed to come up here without your permission." Alexander said.
Victoria didn’t reply.
"Understood?" Alexander continued.
Victoria remained silent.
Victoria was confused. What did he mean? Who was he really tormenting?
"Did you hear me?" Alexander pressed.
"Is this an order?" Victoria finally spoke.
"Yes."
"Why can she come up if only I agree?"
"Think about it yourself."
He suddenly let go of her, turned around, and said, "You can leave now."
"Okay."
Victoria bowed as she left, feeling a stinging sensation in her eyes. She just didn't understand. She didn't understand why he was acting this way.
After work, Victoria had dinner with Adrian at the restaurant next to the company.
"Are you still mad at me?" Adrian asked cautiously, seeing that she still seemed unhappy.
"No, I'm not," she replied softly.
"Then why do you look so unhappy?" Adrian asked.
Adrian thought Victoria must be furious. She trusted him so much, yet he had kept his identity from her.
"It's work-related," she smiled, indicating that she was really fine.
"I have a gift for you." Adrian said, taking out a long box from a chair nearby.
"What gift?" Victoria asked.
"It's definitely not an engagement ring," he joked.
Suddenly, Victoria remembered that the ring he had given her was still at home. Alexander asked her to return it, but she had completely forgotten about it.
As she was thinking about this, the restaurant door opened. She was close enough to see exactly who entered.
That man and his good friend had just walked in.
"Will you esteemed gentlemen sit in your usual place?" The waiter asked.
"Oh, isn't that your... with Adrian?" Edward almost let slip the word "wife."
Alexander glanced over. In fact, he had just seen Adrian's cool sports car outside.
"Let's go say hello."
With a casual tone, Alexander took strode over, his long legs quickly covering the distance with ease.
Victoria just stared straight at him as he approached, her heart beating faster the closer he got.
Noticing that she looked nervous, Adrian glanced behind him.
When he saw the man approaching, he also felt uneasy.
However, soon enough, Alexander and Edward were right next to them. Alexander greeted, "Alex, Edward."
"Well, you've been back for a while and yet, you haven't hanged out with us. Instead, you seem quite close to your cousin's wife." Edward teased.
"She's not my cousin's wife; she's my friend, Victoria," Adrian denied their relationship.
Alexander found it amusing, "Does she cease to be just because you say she is not?"
"Why would she be? She's just a secretary at Harrington Company. How many people in this city know she's married? How many know she's your wife? Are you willing to admit it here? She doesn't even have a wedding ring on her finger."
Adrian asked these questions in one breath.
Each sentence almost gave Alexander a heart attack. Alexander was just thankful that his heart was strong enough.
Even Edward was left a bit speechless by Adrian's quick response; he now felt a bit tongue-tied.
He couldn't help but look at Alexander.
Suddenly, Alexander moved a chair next to her and sat down.
Adrian was puzzled; Edward was puzzled, and Victoria wanted to leave immediately.
But Alexander just looked at her calmly, smiled, and then took her wrist in his hand.
