Chapter 448 I Want to Spend the Rest of My Life with You
Victoria's words made Alexander realize the seriousness of the situation.
Alexander almost lost Victoria.
If it weren't for the fact that the person Isabella found happened to dislike women, he might already be a widower. But he hadn't had the chance to enjoy this marriage with her.
Moreover, setting aside their relationship, Victoria's parents had died in a car accident while returning to attend his grandmother's birthday banquet. If something happened to her, his entire life would be plunged into darkness.
"Benjamin," Alexander said.
"What's up?" Benjamin asked.
"I suddenly miss her a lot," Alexander said.
Benjamin was stunned, staring at Alexander without speaking.
"It's strange. We just parted a few minutes ago, but I suddenly miss her a lot." Alexander clutched his ring. Soon, he couldn't stand the suffocating feeling in his chest, standing up and saying, "Thanks for the drink."
Benjamin still didn't say anything, and besides, Alexander hadn't taken a sip of the drink.
He just walked out, heading to the woman he was afraid of losing.
However, that woman was still upstairs looking for documents. She went straight to the study again. After trying two passwords, she hesitated on the last one. She always felt it was in there. But if she got it wrong again, there would be no more chances.
She had tried both her and Isabella's birthdays, but neither worked. Could it be his birthday? Victoria thought about it and pressed the key. As soon as Alexander got home, he heard the alarm.
Victoria was terrified. Did the alarm go off? What should she do? Should she run outside? Otherwise, she might get caught.
Victoria was almost in tears. As she was about to run, Victoria heard the door open.
Victoria looked towards the door with tear-filled eyes.
As soon as Alexander entered, the alarm automatically turned off. Victoria, clinging to the safe, shrank to the ground, hugging herself in fear and not daring to look at him.
Alexander sighed helplessly. "Idiot."
Hearing this, Victoria turned to look at him. Alexander walked over, squatted beside her, and asked softly, "What have you tried?"
She wouldn't tell him. Victoria hugged herself, refusing to say a word.
"If you tell me, I'll give you the password," Alexander coaxed.
"Your birthday, my birthday, and Isabella's birthday," Victoria said.
"Why would Isabella's birthday be used here?" Alexander asked.
Victoria looked up at him, thinking, 'Don't you know?'
Alexander smiled helplessly and said, "It's our wedding anniversary."
"You're so dumb, you better stay with me, otherwise, you'll easily be tricked by others." Alexander raised his hand, touching her long hair as he spoke.
Victoria's heart tightened. 'Why is he suddenly talking to me like this? Why look at me with such tender and caring eyes? It must be an illusion. No, he is pretending to be a good man to deceive me. '
Victoria couldn't help but stare at him, then turned to enter their wedding anniversary. The door really opened.
"Why don't you change the password?" Victoria asked.
"Why should I do?" Alexander replied.
"Where are my documents?" Victoria didn't want to worry about the reasons anymore. She couldn't help but look inside again and again, not seeing her documents.
"Mrs. Harrington, I won't make any more promises to you lightly in the future," Alexander said. His voice suddenly turned deep.
Victoria looked at him, puzzled. "What promises?"
"Any," Alexander replied.
Victoria's heart started to race gradually, thinking, 'Is it because I say he can't keep his promises that he says this? If he could really do it, I would be very grateful.'
"Then where are my documents?" Victoria asked again.
"I don't want you to leave," Alexander said, holding her hand, squatting with her.
At this moment, looking into him, Victoria couldn't help but feel her heart heat up.
Victoria suddenly couldn't make a quick decision or judge right from wrong but kept staring at him.
"Why?" Victoria struggled to make a sound.
Why didn't Alexander want her to leave?
Would Alexander have a reason that would make her not want to leave anymore?
Actually, didn't she also long for stability?
Now that her family was gone, she didn't want to live alone outside.
After all, this was their homeland.
Victoria had never forgotten this.
She wanted to return to Elysium, not just because she grew up there.
More so because Victoria wouldn't constantly think about her parents' car accident here as if her parents had never come back, as if her parents hadn't been turned into two urns of ashes.
"Because a couple should be together. I want to spend the rest of my life with you," Alexander said.
