Chapter 106 Taking Her to the Top Floor Room
The private room's door swung open, and for less than three seconds, silence enveloped the space.
Gradually, everyone began to stand up.
Victoria sat at the edge with Jasmine nestled beside her, murmuring, "Victoria, what does kissing feel like, really?"
In an instant, Victoria's mind raced, and she inadvertently glanced up.
In the dim light, she also caught sight of the familiar figure at the doorway.
Just before Jasmine spoke, Victoria had been contemplating housing matters.
However, Jasmine interrupted her train of thought, and the figure standing nearby interrupted her even more.
Alexander stood silently while gazing at her. Soon, everyone's attention shifted to that corner. The person squatting next to Victoria, about to use WhatsApp, suddenly sensed the impending tension and discreetly backed away.
Although Alexander had noticed the man with the phone, he couldn't be bothered. Not every person could catch his woman's eye.
"Is that Mr. Harrington?" Jasmine suddenly stood up. Having had a few drinks, she was a bit dizzy due to her low alcohol tolerance.
Victoria noticed her unsteadiness and promptly rose to support her. "Hello, Mr. Harrington," Jasmine greeted reflexively.
Alexander could only watch her support her friend as he asked, "Aren't you leaving yet?"
"Victoria, hurry, the boss must have something urgent for you," the leader of the PR department reacted first.
Victoria wasn't sure whether to commend his intelligence or curse his straightforwardness.
The important thing was she had to leave. She glanced at Jasmine, "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," Jasmine nodded vigorously to show she was okay.
"Go quickly, we'll take care of Jasmine."
"Make sure she gets home safely and don't let her drink anymore. If I don't see her before work tomorrow, Mr. Harrington will hold you accountable."
Victoria wanted to say she would handle it, but considering her insignificance, she glanced at the doorway and used Alexander’s name.
After Victoria left, Alexander naturally lowered his head to look at her hand, then extended his own hand, waiting for her to hold it.
Victoria glanced once and immediately put her hands in her pockets. "Mr. Harrington, do you have something for me this late?"
"Mr. Harrington doesn't, but your husband does."
Upon hearing this, Victoria's heart clenched in fear. "Should we move to a different location, or continue here?"
Alexander glanced to the side where a staff member was approaching. "Where should we go?"
Victoria immediately asked him, not wanting anyone to see them together more than anyone else.
Alexander simply grasped her wrist and led her away.
Victoria's hand reluctantly left her pocket.
Alexander tenderly held it as he guided her into an elevator she had never used before.
There was no doubt—it was his private elevator.
As the elevator ascended, Victoria watched the increasing numbers as her heart rose in her throat.
The temperature of their hands felt different, and she lowered her gaze as her heart pounded like a drum.
Alexander remained silent until the elevator stopped at the top floor, where he finally looked up and led her out.
Instinctively, Victoria reached out to brace herself against the wall of the lift.
Alexander turned, "What's wrong?"
"Where are we going?" Victoria asked, her concern evident.
When she braced herself against the lift wall, she didn’t even realize it herself. But she knew one thing—she couldn't follow him blindly. Who knew where he might take her?
"To a room... My room," Alexander replied firmly.
