Chapter 387 I Will Seriously Doubt

Victoria froze with her hand on her neck, while Eloise and Arabella were also taken aback. "Alexander! You'll harm Victoria's sensitive skin like that. Are you aware?"

Eloise was the first to react, patting his shoulder repeatedly. Alexander raised his arm slightly to let Eloise pat him. Arabella frowned as well. "You're on the verge of getting married. Don't you know how to behave properly?”

Although feeling unhappy to be scolded by them, Alexander felt much more comfortable looking at Victoria's neck.

"But why are you holding your neck?" He wasn't trying to strangle her.

Victoria blushed. When feeling the elders' eyes on her, she immediately took the scarf and said as she walked away, "Sorry, I need to go to the restroom."

"I'll go check." Alexander immediately got up to follow.

"Maybe someone bit her," Arabella whispered after he left.

Alexander frowned upon hearing this. As he reached the restroom, he vaguely remembered the incident.

Not long ago, in the private elevator of the office building, he did bite her.

Victoria had re-tied the scarf, making sure no teeth marks were visible on her neck before feeling relieved. Then she heard a click.

The sound of the door closing wasn't loud, but it was still audible.

Victoria saw him in the mirror and frowned, but quickly lowered her head. "Why do you come in?"

"Your neck is beautiful. Why hiding it?" He suddenly whispered behind her.

Victoria felt pressure on her legs, immediately placing her hands on the sink, wanting to slip away, but she was soon held by the waist.

"In the future, I'll be more careful to bite down gently, okay?" Alexander lightly kissed her cheek and discussed with her.

Victoria looked up at him in the mirror, wondering why he still wanted to bite her.

"Alexander, don't go too far," her eyes were a bit red, but she still reminded him indignantly.

"What do you mean, madam?" Alexander rested his chin on her shoulder, meeting her gaze in As Victoria looked at herself in the mirror, she questioned Alexander, "You know we don't have a real relationship, right?"

Besides the easily reversible marriage certificate, there was nothing between them. "We're not close. He doesn't even love me, yet he always touches me inappropriately. That's what you call a jerk, shameless," Victoria cursed him silently. Alexander saw her furrow her brow and felt a pang in his heart.

Quickly, he turned her around, lifted her onto the sink, and held her face gently. "Forget about those people and come back to finish your meal. Why are you crying? Mrs. Harrington, that's not your husband's intention.

"But why, in the morning you were holding another woman, while now you're clinging to me like this at night?" Victoria looked up at him with wet eyes, asking.

"I hold her because she might be in danger at any moment. Do you want someone to die at our doorstep?"

"You always have reasons. Have you ever thought that she might be pretending?" Victoria questioned.

"What?" Alexander's brows furrowed.

She has fainted in front of you before, not the first time. Of course, you wouldn't doubt her because she is the most important to you. But in my eyes, she is just a despicable woman deserving death. So, I will doubt. I will seriously doubt," Victoria said, her agitation growing as she spoke.

But she dared not speak loudly, only placing her hands on his shoulders, trying to push him away, pleading. "Please let me go. Can you stop hugging me?"

"Victoria," Alexander shouted.

"I hate you, I really hate you," Victoria complained.
