Chapter 842 Get Out, Get the Hell Out of Here!
Victoria later ate her meal in silence.
Anyway, whatever she had to do, she needed to gather her strength first.
Alexander was also sitting nearby, eating. When Victoria glanced at him unintentionally, she noticed how elegantly he ate.
Although Alexander had a domineering personality, his actions were always very graceful.
Victoria realized she was again lost in girlish fantasies and quickly lowered her head to continue drinking her soup.
"Don't just drink soup, eat some vegetables."
Alexander glanced at her and reminded her.
"Okay."
She picked up a fork, speared some vegetables, and stuffed them into her mouth.
Alexander noticed that she seemed to be holding back some mischievous thoughts, and she was being very obedient, so he added, "Eat some meat, too."
"Okay."
She obediently followed his command and ate.
Alexander felt a bit stifled but also soft-hearted.
Her chin to her neck, originally evenly toned skin, was now marked with many of his hickeys. Of course, it wasn't just the places not covered by clothes; there were many more, but those were the only ones he could see at the moment.
A woman in sexy pajamas eating dinner obediently like a pet in front of him.
He must hold back this temptation.
Otherwise, not only would she not be able to handle it, but she would also think of him as a jerk again.
He had to act like a gentleman for now.
After dinner, the staff came to clean up and returned Victoria's coat, which also had her phone inside.
Victoria saw the coat in Alexander's hand and immediately felt like she hit the jackpot. "That's my coat."
"Is it? I didn't notice."
Alexander still didn't have a good attitude towards her.
Sitting on the bed, Victoria complained in confusion, "You didn't lose anything, so what are you angry about? We've been talking about divorce for a while now. Just give me my coat; I need to make a call."
Alexander found her words reasonable. He took the phone out of the coat and handed it to her.
Victoria saw the missed calls and immediately dialed back.
The call was answered quickly, and Olivia's hoarse voice was full of worry. "Are you okay? Edward said Alexander has been with you, but I'm still worried. I remember Adi was there too."
"I'm with Alexander."
Victoria mumbled softly, not wanting Alexander to hear their conversation.
Alexander, being considerate, noticed she wanted him to leave and immediately went to the bathroom.
Seeing him go to the bathroom, Victoria anxiously asked, "How are you?"
"I'm fine, just angry that I was drugged and Edward took advantage of it. But it's a good thing it was Edward."
Olivia mumbled.
Hearing her say that, Victoria inexplicably felt a bit relieved.
"Do you know who tried to harm us?"
"No, do you?"
Victoria instinctively lowered her voice cautiously.
"Daisy."
"Edward said Daisy was targeting you, and I was just collateral damage."
After hanging up the phone, Victoria was still in a daze. 'Daisy?'
A flash of memory came to Victoria's mind of Alexander lying on the bed talking on the phone.
'If Edward knew, then Alexander must know too.'
'But Alexander hadn't mentioned a word to me.'
'Why would he do that?'
Victoria lay on the bed and turned to look when she heard his phone ring.
She recognized the number.
For some unknown reason, she grabbed his phone and answered it a bit aggressively. "Hello?"
"Victoria?"
The response on the other end was slow.
"It's me. Thanks to you, Ms. Bryant, Alexander and I were able to make up last night."
"What?"
Daisy, on the other end, had no presence at all.
Victoria no longer cared about Daisy's feelings and continued, "We'll thank you properly when we have time. Alexander is in the shower, so I won't call him to take your call. Bye."
After hanging up, Victoria was still a bit angry.
She wanted to strangle Daisy at that moment.
But thinking about it, fighting with someone like that wasn't worth her effort.
The bathroom door opened from the inside, and Alexander came out wrapped in a towel. She glanced at him.
Alexander noticed she seemed upset and asked as he got on the bed, "Why are you unhappy again?"
Victoria glanced at him and then turned her back to him, "Turn off the light."
Bryant family.
"Dad, what should I do? I acted on impulse. It's all Isabella's fault."
"Isabella?"
In the living room, Jerome slowly stood up, looking incredulously at the timid Daisy.
Daisy was also frightened by her words and quickly covered her mouth.
Ursa, sitting nearby, was also anxious, "Why did you go see Isabella again?"
"No, she wanted to see me."Daisy quickly explained.
"And you went just because she wanted to see you? Are you out of your mind?"
Jerome couldn't help but question Daisy.
"Dad, I didn't mean it. I didn't know things would get so serious. Isabella asked me to follow Adrian. She said Adrian liked Victoria and would find an opportunity..."
Daisy's face suddenly received a solid slap.
Jerome, looking at his usually pampered Daisy, was trembling with anger, "Why do you listen to others but not to your mother and me? Do you want to ruin our family's foundation? We've treated you like a princess."
Jerome was so angry he could hardly breathe.
Ursa, seeing Jerome like this, knew the seriousness of the situation and didn't dare to plead for Daisy. She went to support Jerome, "Honey, calm down, your health is important."
"Dad, I know I was wrong."
Daisy walked up to Jerome, holding his arm in repentance.
"Honey, there must be a way to fix this, right? You have a good relationship with Maximus, don't you? Go ask him for help. Maybe this can be resolved."
"Resolved? How? Fortunately, Alexander was also at the bar yesterday. If Victoria had had sex with Adrian, the Bryant families would be wiped out."Jerome said.
"Is it that serious?"Ursa asked again.
"Don't be fooled by the current calm. Wait until tomorrow and see."
Jerome knew that once Alexander traced this back to Daisy, it wouldn't end simply.
"Tomorrow? No, honey, let's go apologize to Alexander now, apologize to Victoria, apologize to the entire Harrington family."
"There's no other way."
Jerome thought he had no other choice.
Although an apology might be meaningless, he had to try.
Harrington Family Old Mansion.
"How could your family do such a thing? Get out, get out of here."
Eloise, after hearing Jerome's words, shouted tearfully in agitation.
