Chapter 605 The Wedding
Victoria didn't immediately deny it.
Alexander stood outside, tall and charming in a suit, with a pair of strong, long legs. His expression grew stern again.
Inside the room.
"Were you scared?" Olivia tentatively continued to ask, while Tessa listened intently beside her.
"Y-yes, a little." Victoria stuttered a bit.
Last night, Alexander had blamed her, even though it was clearly his own issue.
According to what Olivia had told her a while ago, her first sexual experience should have been a fulfilling one, but...
She didn't dare to say anything.
"I told you, you might not be able to handle it, right? But it only hurts the first few times. Do it a few more times, and you'll get used to it." Olivia shared her experience.
Feeling uncertain about how to react, Victoria responded with a wry smile.
"How long did Mr. Harrington last the first time with you?" Tessa suddenly asked out of curiosity.
Victoria was embarrassed, thinking, 'Oh my God, why does Olivia always ask such private questions?'
"How long does your husband last during sex?" Olivia, sensing Victoria's confusion, rephrased the question.
"How long? Th-three hours or so?" Victoria was unsure if this answer would satisfy Alexander.
Actually, Alexander felt he had underestimated Victoria's needs and was thinking about how to last three hours without hurting her the next night.
"Three hours?"
"Three hours?"
Olivia and Tessa were shocked, their eyes almost popping out.
"Is that too short?" Victoria asked, not quite understanding the situation.
"Short? Your endurance is amazing, Victoria." Olivia looked her over, genuinely admiring her.
"Is that so?" Victoria was still a bit confused, but seeing Olivia's expression, she suspected she might have exaggerated.
She had read in novels that when the male lead and female lead first had sex, they could go at it several times a night, all night long until dawn. She thought, 'Isn't reality like that? Could it be that many men are like Alexander? If I spread this exaggerated duration, will it harm other women?'
"Actually, just a few seconds." Victoria thought for a moment and then whispered.
"Come on, we are friends. Don't be so shy. Your endurance shows your flexibility."
"I get it. Are you afraid we'll spread it around, and Mr. Harrington will be swarmed, so you said a few seconds?"
Olivia and Tessa's interpretations were even more surprising to Victoria.
She thought this was a big misunderstanding.
Alexander, hearing their conversation, was initially really scared, but then he laughed at their interpretations.
He ultimately didn't go in.
He let them chat, giving Victoria something to pass the time, which was better than her thinking about escaping, though she couldn't escape in the first place.
This island was a web he had woven for her, an inescapable web.
——
Downtown, a heavy rain had confined everyone indoors.
The streets were almost deserted, with only a few occasional cars.
Isabella was still stuck in her car at the dock.
She thought, 'Had Alexander secretly invited his friends to the island for a wedding? Doesn't he want to give Victoria a grand wedding? Does he just want to give Victoria a simple, formal wedding?'
Even so, Isabella couldn't accept it.
A boat was still docked, and Frank was on it. Isabella thought for a moment, then grabbed an umbrella and rushed over.
Frank, inside, turned around when he heard someone board and saw Isabella. He said irritably, "This is a private boat. Please..."
"As long as you take me to the island, I can give you $15,000 right away," Isabella said.
Frank, familiar with some high-end brands, quickly assessed her clothing and jewelry, which were worth at least hundreds of thousands of dollars, and she was offering $15,000.
A minute later, Frank asked, "Can you swim?"
"What?" Isabella was puzzled.
Frank immediately started walking towards her.
Isabella suddenly had a terrifying thought and, before he could get close, turned and ran, shouting, "Murder is illegal."
Frank, standing with an umbrella at the boarding area, found it amusing when she fell to the ground out of nervousness.
He had done some research on Isabella and knew she understood some law; otherwise, she wouldn't have gotten away with her misdeeds. But her saying "murder is illegal" was still funny.
Isabella hadn't expected to end up like this, but she wouldn't give up on getting to the island.
After she left, Frank immediately made a call. "She's gone. Follow her."
"Yes." In a BMW, two men in black shirts watched Isabella's car leave and immediately followed.
The city was actually full of hidden dangers.
Isabella thought, 'If Victoria falls into the sea, there will be no evidence of her death.'
Although Alexander had blocked the dock, she had been to the island before and thought there must be a way to get there.
She was determined not to let Victoria have the chance to wear a wedding dress and marry Alexander.
She swore this to herself and then called Zachary, "As long as you can get me to the island, I'll agree to anything."
"Come find me," Zachary said indifferently on the other end of the line, then hung up.
Isabella immediately drove to the hotel.
——
The next morning, it was sunny.
The island was bustling, with cheerful music playing one song after another.
In the makeup room prepared for the wedding, Victoria looked in surprise at the woman in the wedding dress standing in front of the large mirror.
Olivia, Tessa, and Janaye stood beside her, all much more cheerful than she was.
Olivia said, "Have a happy wedding, okay?"
"Of course," Victoria smiled and agreed.
Everyone had arrived last night, and it was no longer just about her and Alexander.
And since they were here, Victoria thought it was better to enjoy the day than to be forced into the wedding.
As she was led out in her wedding dress by Maximus, she saw all the smiling faces and couldn't help but smile herself.
Ahead, at a black piano, she saw a familiar figure.
It was Adrian, personally playing the wedding march.
And further ahead, everyone else became background as she saw Alexander.
He was still wearing the suit James had designed last year, unchanged, just like her wedding dress.
It felt like they were still as sweet as before, only the wedding had been delayed by ten months.
Brett, Eloise, and Arabella sat in the front. Since Victoria's parents were deceased, she had no family present. Benjamin, Edward, Olivia, and Sebastian, along with Sebastian's wife Emily, sat on her side as her family.
Victoria felt a pang of sadness. However, believing that her parents were watching over her from heaven, she decided to be happy and joyfully marry the man who had captured her heart at first sight.
Moreover, the Harrington family had treated her so well, giving her a sense of security.
Last night, Eloise and Brett had transferred all their assets to her name.
They said they were getting old and had always planned to give these to her.
Arabella and Maximus also gave her some fixed assets, houses, cars, and ten shops.
As for Alexander, he hadn't shown up since last night, and she only saw him now.
When they reached Alexander, Maximus seriously instructed him, "From now on, you must treat your wife well and not let her suffer. Otherwise, the whole family will stand by Victoria."
