Chapter 464 Heart Racing
"What?" Victoria said, coming to herself.
She was groggy, only feeling cool on her lips.
She greedily leaned into it.
Alexander was fully awake. The moment she responded, his heart pounded wildly as he stared at her for several seconds before he couldn't resist kissing her again.
This time, his kiss was more intense.
And she held onto him.
Alexander felt like he was dreaming and didn't want to wake up.
She actually initiated the kiss and held him.
She woke up in a big embrace, feeling the familiar warmth of a man, the pressure, and the heartbeat.
White shirt fabric appeared as she gently opened her eyes.
However, Adrian had visited her in the morning, she thought, gazing up.
Her heart pounded as she looked at the sleeping Alexander, then gradually calmed down.
'Phew.' She sighed.
She thought it was Adrian.
She breathed heavily, trying to calm herself down.
But why was Alexander here?
Wasn't he in a car accident?
She looked up again, and when she saw the wound on his forehead, she immediately frowned in fear and then quietly moved closer to get a better look at his injury.
The wound wasn't long, but it was deep. How did Alexander get it?
Victoria frowned, feeling a deep sense of pain.
She didn't know how he got hurt. His skin was delicate, too.
He was always favored by God, never having suffered like this.
Then she remembered he was sent to a rigorous unit for training, but she still couldn't help feeling heartbroken.
She wanted to touch his wound but was frightened of hurting him, so she pulled back.
But Alexander's strong arm quickly wrapped around her waist, pressing her against his firm chest.
Victoria felt herself being pulled closer to him and instinctively lowered her gaze.
Alexander suddenly fell silent, too.
They kept that position for a long time.
After a pounding heartbeat and blood surge, Victoria slowly moved back as Alexander slowly raised his arm.
Their hearts were still racing, but they said nothing.
After an unknown period, Alexander glanced at the window. It seemed to be noon, so he slightly got up.
Victoria instinctively tried to get up, too.
But he suddenly blocked the light in front of her, his voice hoarse, "Has the fever gone down?"
He felt his hand wasn't exact enough, so he placed his forehead on hers.
Victoria held her breath, feeling he shouldn't be doing this, and couldn't help but ask, "Where's Adrian?"
"What's up with him?" Alexander asked.
"He was here earlier," Victoria replied.
Alexander slowly released her forehead, looking straight at her. "He left."
Victoria didn't look up, but she could tell he was annoyed.
However, she didn't care whether he was happy or not.
Alexander stared at her, seeing she was unrepentant. He got up and sat by the bed, looking outside.
Victoria remained lying behind him, thinking it was good he was leaving.
He shouldn't have been here in the first place.
Soon, he got up with his phone, and she quietly glanced in his direction, thinking he was leaving.
"Yes, Rockland Street, as soon as possible," said Alexander. Then he hung up the phone and continued walking out.
Victoria was puzzled. Why was he ordering food?
She didn't want to have lunch with him. She got up, put on her slippers, and walked to the door.
"Alexander, if you want lunch, go eat outside."
Alexander turned around, looking at her.
Why was Victoria so ungrateful?
What if she got a stomach ache from taking medicine without eating lunch?
Alexander didn't want to argue with her and said, "I'm feeling really dizzy right now, so you'd better not upset me."
"Who's trying to upset you? Why did you come to my place without my permission?" Victoria asked.
"Are you sure this is your place?" Alexander asked.
"Of course," she said.
"This is just a temporary rental. Do you know who the landlord is?" Alexander asked.
'What is the landlord's name again?' Victoria recalled.
