Chapter 571 Long Hair Entangled

"Good morning, Alexander," came a gentle woman's voice from the phone.

Victoria held her coffee cup silently, intending to walk away.

However, Alexander grabbed her wrist in time and asked the person on the speakerphone, "What's up?"

"I want to apologize to you in person. If you're not available tonight, how about we meet at noon?" Isabella asked him gently.

Alexander responded indifferently. "Not today."

Isabella asked, "Why? Do you have other plans?"

"Rainy days are for spending with my wife," Alexander said.

After a few seconds of silence, Isabella asked softly, "Are you with Victoria?"

Victoria felt she was being hypocritical, but since Alexander was holding her wrist tightly, she had to suppress her temper and continue drinking her coffee.

Alexander asked, "Didn't you know that?"

"What?"

"We're having breakfast. Gotta go," Alexander said.

With that, Alexander hung up.

Victoria looked at him, puzzled.

She thought, 'What did he mean by that? Is Isabella stalking her again?'

Victoria suddenly felt a chill.

After Alexander hung up, Isabella was stunned, thinking, 'Breakfast? Did he spend the night with Victoria, and now they're having breakfast together?'

Isabella imagined Victoria in the kitchen preparing breakfast and shamelessly asking Alexander to taste it. Hatred surged in her heart, and she couldn't wait to ruin Victoria's reputation.

She had heard that Victoria also often flirted with male actors on set, including Craig.

Thinking this, Isabella immediately dialed another number.

Meanwhile, Victoria and Alexander had already sat down to eat.

Victoria couldn't help but ask, "Is Isabella stalking me again?"

"I only know there's a car outside that's been parked all night." Alexander said calmly, reminding her, "Let's eat first."

Victoria took a bite of the sandwich he made, feeling inexplicably uneasy.

The pimple at the corner of her eye started to itch again.

The rain was getting heavier. After the meal, she stood by the floor-to-ceiling window with her unfinished coffee, watching the rain.

Alexander cleaned up the kitchen and saw her standing there, lost in thought. He couldn't help but stand behind her with his coffee cup, silently watching.

Everything seemed perfect.

After a while, Dennis sent her the next lines to memorize.

Victoria looked at the lines on her phone, finding them a bit flirty.

She thought, 'Is this how it feels when there's mutual attraction between a man and a woman?'

But then she thought of Adrian's awkwardness every time he delivered those lines and understood a bit.

Sometimes she even felt Adrian seemed a few years younger than her; his mental resilience was clearly weaker.

Alexander later brought over a plate of fruit, "What are you looking at?"

"The script," Victoria answered instinctively, then turned to see the plate of strawberries he was holding.

So, last night wasn't all of it.

She was in a good mood now. Then she felt thirsty, wanting to eat some fruit.

She said to Alexander, "I want some."

He replied, "Sure, but there is a condition."

"What?" Victoria looked at him curiously.

Alexander smiled at her. "I'll read your script, and you eat the strawberries."

"Okay." She immediately handed him her phone.

Then Victoria comfortably sat on the couch with the plate of strawberries.

He ate so much last night; today, she wouldn't let him have any.

Rarely protective of her food, she kept the strawberries far from him.

Alexander glanced at her. Knowing it was because of last night, he reminded her, "Eat slowly."

"Okay," she replied and ate slowly.

In the fall, with the rain outside, eating strawberries just out of the fridge was pure enjoyment.

Opposite her, Alexander sat there seriously looking at her phone, appearing particularly dignified.

He looked like someone from a painting, making it hard to look away.

Strangely, Alexander felt the strawberries in his mouth weren't as sweet as the ones in her mouth.

But soon, he sighed in frustration, frowning.

Alexander couldn't help but wonder, 'What kind of nonsense is this? She acts this with Adrian all day? Adrian already has feelings for Victoria; filming this would only give him an excuse to get close to her.'

Alexander couldn't stand it, but when he noticed Victoria looking at him, he immediately looked up.

Victoria quickly averted her gaze, pretending she hadn't looked at him, focusing on eating her strawberries.

"Are they good?" came a deep, sexy voice suddenly.

Victoria's face turned red, her pimple itching a bit. She tried to act nonchalant. "They're okay."

"Let me try," Alexander said indifferently.

Victoria instinctively picked a strawberry and fed it to him.

Alexander sat beside her, ate the strawberry, and said softly, "They're okay."

Victoria looked at him, puzzled, feeling her mind go blank.

Alexander's eyes were so deep, making it impossible to glean any useful information, even feeling a bit mesmerized.

"Wanna watch a movie?" He asked her.

Victoria asked, "What movie?"

"How about 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid'?" Alexander suggested.

Victoria thought for a moment and nodded. "Sure."

She really liked Paul Newman.

Anyway, even a glance of Paul could make people scream at that time.

Yes, compared to a superior face shape, Victoria seemed more obsessed with eyes.

Alexander had a pair of eyes filled with deep emotion.

Alexander fiddled with her phone for a while, and Victoria watched him download a projector app and search for the movie.

The movie started, making it hard to think about anything else.

And her long hair was soon being playfully twirled around Alexander's fingers.

Though he only twirled her hair, he didn't consider that her heart was also being entangled.

Victoria tried to stay calm, wanting to say something, but he gestured for silence, saying, "Focus on the movie."

She thought, 'I know this movie by heart, okay?'

However, out of respect for Alexander watching the movie, she sat there quietly.

Several times she tried to grab her phone but failed. When she reached out again, her wrist was suddenly grabbed, and her hand landed on his strong thigh.

Victoria's heart skipped a beat, and she looked at where her hand was, feeling anxious, "I want to look at the script."

"After the movie," he said indifferently, pulling her into his arms.

When she crashed into Alexander's chest, Victoria felt like a fool, her heart skipping a beat, then racing.

His phone rang again, and she quickly withdrew her hand.

But Alexander swiftly turned off his phone and looked at her. "Come here."
