Chapter 972 Interrogation
A few men stood in front of the sofa, one of them bending over to pin Daisy down with a handy knife, slowly cutting her cheek.
Blood slowly trickled out, even dripping onto the knife.
Daisy's eyes were about to pop out; she even felt like she could see the blood on her face. She thought she was done for and fainted instantly.
Elliot came back from outside and saw this scene: "Who are you?"
The men turned around to see Elliot, then pinned him down on the sofa as well.
Elliot raised his hands in surrender, then turned to glance at Daisy's bleeding face, muttering, "Her face was pretty nice; it's a shame to cut it."
"Shut up."
The man with the knife, Ryan Ward, said.
Elliot and Daisy weren't even tied up with a single rope, yet they both sat obediently on the sofa, surrendering without a fight.
Daisy quickly woke up because someone had smeared salt mixed with water on her wound.
"I advise you to be smart and admit to it now; we might let you live."
"It hurts so much."
Daisy was about to break down; the wound on her face hurt terribly. Ryan, who had cut her, sat at the table opposite her, leisurely wiping the blood off the knife with a tissue.
Daisy trembled, growing more fearful the more she looked.
Soon, Ryan placed the knife on the table, then lit a cigarette and smoked it slowly, saying, "If you don't talk, I have plenty of ways to torture you."
"I really don't know anything."
Daisy shivered as she spoke.
She feared he would burn her face with the lit cigarette.
He was like a devil, and Daisy was scared out of her wits. She inadvertently saw Elliot sitting nearby, watching the show, and questioned, "Elliot, is this your doing?"
"What does this have to do with me?"
Elliot distanced himself from the situation and continued watching.
Before Daisy could understand Elliot's words, the cigarette butt was indeed pressed onto her skin.
But it wasn't on her face; it was on her leg.
When Daisy saw the deep burn mark on her thigh, the pain was so intense she couldn't even scream.
She couldn't think of who she had offended or why they were torturing her like this.
These people were simply perverts, lunatics.
No, she prayed these people had some humanity.
"It hurts so much, please let me go? I don't even understand what's going on. How could Victoria have been kidnapped? Isn't she abroad?"
"The person who created a diversion that day was sent by you to monitor Mrs. Harrington. He has already been caught by us. Do you still want to deny it?"
Ryan said again, then continued to light a cigarette.
Elliot frowned as he listened, then turned to look at Daisy and then at Ryan lighting the cigarette, reminding her, "Daisy, I advise you to tell the truth, or do you want your body covered in cigarette burns?"
"No, I beg you, please don't burn me again. I swear, I really don't know anything."
"Really? Don't you have an ashtray at home?"
Ryan said slowly, then pressed the cigarette onto Daisy's thigh again.
Seeing this, Daisy immediately spread her legs apart, but Ryan's large hand firmly gripped her knee. She let out some small, broken sounds of pain, not daring to scream.
Elliot just thought she was pitiful, but she didn't deserve sympathy.
If she hadn't sought out Brian to learn from Victoria and hadn't slept with Brian, maybe he would have felt a bit sorry for her and helped plead for her.
But she had no self-respect and even slept with another man.
Suddenly, a scream rang out, but it only lasted a second. Daisy's face had turned pale. If it weren't for the dried blood on her face, her face would have had no color at all.
The dried blood on her face made the wound seem like it was drying up, but any slight expression would cause her skin to crack open again, and fresh blood would flow from the 4-inch cut.
Daisy's peripheral vision caught sight of a brown ashtray placed beside Ryan, and her tears flowed even more fiercely.
'That bitch Victoria, even in death, she made me suffer?' Daisy cursed inside.
Elliot couldn't help but ask, "So, Victoria was kidnapped?"
"Yes," Ryan admitted.
Elliot couldn't help but touch his chin, thinking, 'No wonder Alexander hasn't been in town recently, and his friends have been acting mysteriously. So, Victoria was kidnapped. Then these people must be Alexander's men? But they are so blatant, coming to question her in broad daylight, this...'
Elliot continued to be puzzled, then heard another cry.
Ryan indeed took a few puffs, making the cigarette butt glow red, then pressed it onto her tender leg.
Elliot felt it was a pity and asked, "Daisy, does this have anything to do with you?"
"No, I swear, if I kidnapped Victoria, I'll go to hell."
Ryan asked, "You say it wasn't you, but we all know you tried to seduce Mr. Harrington and even contacted Isabella in prison to get to Mr. Harrington. Also, you seem to hate Mrs. Harrington a lot."
Ryan was calm and steady, with a hint of merciless killing intent in his eyes.
Daisy was so scared that she went limp.
What he said was true; she did hate Victoria and wanted her dead.
Elliot focused on the fact that they seemed to know a lot about the Harrington family. Could they really be Alexander's men?
"You'd better confess, or your beautiful face will turn ugly."
"I really didn't. I admit I hate Victoria, I want her dead, but I..."
"You say you want her dead, could it be you've already silenced her?"
Ryan, always looking like a cold-blooded killer, suddenly raised a finger to stop her from speaking, then stared at her intently.
Elliot found it interesting and listened more intently.
Daisy trembled, her voice weakening, "Yes, I want her dead, but I didn't..."
"How can you prove you didn't?"
"I've been at home all the time."
"You've been at home but arranged for someone to watch Mrs. Harrington in Elysium Country, didn't you?"
"But that was a long time ago. I haven't been in contact with that person for a long time."
"You haven't been in contact for a long time, yet you could get him to appear in the hospital corridor? Could it be you have an affair with this man?"
"Daisy!"
When Daisy was stunned, Elliot was so angry he wanted to strangle her.
