Chapter 855 Bitterness
Alexander turned his gaze and looked at Diana.
Victoria was also a bit puzzled, "Me? Isn't that inappropriate?"
"You two are so close, what's inappropriate about it? Go on."
Just as the dishes were being served, Diana urged lightly.
Victoria instinctively glanced at Alexander.
No matter what, it shouldn't be her going with the three people sitting at this table.
Alexander looked at Diana and asked with a smile, "What did you say?"
Diana stood up, holding a pitcher to pour water for Alexander, keeping her head down, avoiding eye contact, and casually said, "We're all family, Alexander, relax and have some water first."
"She is my wife. There are only two people suitable to see him, you or me, understand?"
Alexander patiently reminded.
Victoria breathed a sigh of relief.
After all, if Alexander had cooperated with Diana to ask her to call Adrian, it would be humiliating for her.
"But I heard that Victoria and Adi were classmates. They're all around the same age, so there aren't that many taboos. Alexander, don't be so serious and old-fashioned."
Diana mentioned again, seemingly indifferent.
Victoria silently glanced at Diana, giving her a thumbs-up in her mind.
After all, in this city, there weren't many people who dared to call Alexander old-fashioned.
The restroom door finally opened in the distance, and Adrian walked out, smiling, "The food is here, and I'm just hungry."
As he walked over, Victoria smelled the faint scent of smoke, different from Alexander's, but it was clear he had been smoking.
Adrian sat down, "Alexander, I should be going abroad to shoot a movie next month. Can I get some sponsorship from you?"
Alexander generously agreed, "Sure."
Victoria and Diana each had their thoughts, but Adrian seemed to be in a better mood.
Alexander glanced at Adrian again, "You need to take care of your health."
"Okay."
"Smoke less."
"Okay."
Adrian knew Alexander had figured out his thoughts but still obediently agreed.
Victoria couldn't help but glance at Alexander.
He often came home smelling of smoke himself, and now he's telling someone else to smoke less.
But it was rare for the brothers to get along so well, so Victoria kept her head down and ate quietly.
Diana, however, felt something was off.
Daisy had said that Adrian and Victoria were once rumored to be very close, and they might have dated.
Diana had deliberately brought them along to observe them on the way, and she had felt there was something between them, but now, what was going on?
'Victoria is not suitable to be the lady of the Harrington family.' The more Diana thought about it, the more annoyed she became. She wondered how she could make these two men see that Victoria was a fickle, gold-digging, scheming woman and make them both lose hope in her and leave her.
Diana thought for a moment, then suddenly smiled at Victoria and said, "I heard you were an actress for a while. And you had a stage name, what was it? Felicity?"
"Yes."
Victoria paused for a moment, quickly realizing that Daisy must have told her.
Victoria didn't want to play mind games with Diana or guess her thoughts.
If Diana wanted to know something, she could just ask her directly.
After all, Diana was her husband's sister.
"Diana, you're investigating Victoria's past."
Alexander's seductive fingers held a cup, staring at Diana with serious and assertive gaze.
Diana didn't deny it, her face finally daring to look at Alexander with a smile, "For a woman marrying into our family, I need to know what kind of person she is."
Adrian, who was eating, instinctively turned to look at Diana when he heard this.
Alexander put down his cup, leaned back in his chair, and looked at Diana with a smile.
Victoria thought for a moment, then asked while eating, "So, have you figured it out?"
"A little."
Diana responded, looking at her.
At this point, whatever Victoria said, Diana would see it as a provocation.
Victoria smiled slightly and said softly, "If you want to know about me, you can just ask me."
"To hear your embellished explanations?"Diana asked again.
Victoria understood that Diana didn't trust her, so she said no more.
Victoria had thought that after telling Diana about her determination to divorce, Diana would be on the same side as her, and they could open up to each other.
But now it seemed it was just her fantasy.
After dinner, the four of them stood at the hotel entrance. Diana held Alexander's arm, "Alexander, take me back to Metro House. Adi happens to have something to do on Rockland Street, so let him take Victoria."
"Take Diana back."
Alexander glanced at Frank, who was standing to the side.
Frank quickly stepped forward, "Okay."
Diana looked at Frank and immediately said, "I don't want to be taken by someone else; I want you to take me. We haven't seen each other for so many years, and I miss you."
Alexander looked down at the spoiled Diana and suddenly felt a few surges in his chest.
He then turned to look at Victoria, who was already looking at Frank, "Frank, you take me."
Frank had no objections but couldn't help looking at Alexander for instructions.
"I'll take you."
Alexander reached out to grab Victoria's wrist, slowly holding her hand, and spoke to her seriously.
"No need." Victoria looked down at her hand being held, raising her other hand to push him away.
But Alexander held her tightly, silently refusing to let her protest.
Victoria then looked up, "Diana just came back, you should stay with her."
"Yes, Alexander, take me."
Diana held onto Alexander, determined not to let him take Victoria. If he did, they would end up living together again.
Alexander looked calmly at Victoria.
He knew she wanted to push him away.
But how far did she intend to push him?
Hadn't they wasted too much time?
Now, he just wanted to live with her.
Alexander smiled faintly, finally letting go of her, and softly said to Frank, "Then you take Victoria back."
"Okay."
Frank's car pulled up, and as soon as the staff got out, he opened the back door for Victoria.
Before getting in the car, Victoria instinctively turned to look at Adrian.
Adrian smiled at her. She wanted to tell him to be safe on the road, but in the end, she remained silent.
It seemed they couldn't even show normal, friendly concern for each other anymore.
She got into the car, not looking back.
She wanted to avoid Alexander and Diana as much as possible.
Alexander kept watching the car until Frank closed the door and drove away.
Alexander couldn't help but send Victoria a message: [Good night.]
Victoria looked at the message, her fingers gently stroking the phone screen, feeling slightly bitter. She thought she should end things with Alexander and Diana sooner.
