Chapter 921 Eradicating Future Troubles
"Yeah, that way you won't have anything to worry about."
Adrian was trembling with fear.
The elders fell silent and listened quietly.
Diana continued, "Think about it, if you force her to have an abortion, won't she hate you? A woman who hates you will never want to have anything to do with you for the rest of her life. From then on, you two will never have any connection again."
Adrian inexplicably felt that this was inappropriate and was a bit terrified.
Seeing Adrian's darkened expression, Diana leaned closer, put her arm around Adrian's shoulder, and expressed, "If it gets worse, she might secretly curse you to never be loved for the rest of your life. Of course, you can curse her too, but no matter the outcome, you two will never have a chance to be a couple."
"Abortion is illegal."
"Are you sure?" Diana questioned.
Adrian thought, feeling a chill down his spine from Diana's words, then got up, "I need to use the restroom."
"Only by scaring you will you listen."
As Adrian ran off, Diana remarked.
Arabella, Eloise, and Brett looked at Diana and smiled helplessly.
"Mom, can you ask Alexander to get me an apartment near the university?"
"Which university?"
"Ankenra University, the environment there is pretty good, perfect for morning runs," Diana replied.
This excuse was something she had thought of long ago, so she said it very smoothly.
But the elders sensed something. They had already concluded that she held someone in her heart.
"Is the person you like a teacher?"
Arabella couldn't help but ask.
Diana's expression suddenly turned awkward. Brett and Eloise looked at Diana's expression and knew Arabella had guessed right.
As long as the person was decent and cared for Diana, it was fine.
And Victoria's parents were both teachers, and they did an excellent job in terms of upbringing.
"Of course not, it's not what you think. I just like running in the morning, and I found that place after several rounds. Don't overthink it."
Probably due to her lack of confidence, Diana felt guilty but didn't admit it."Getting a house is not a problem. Just call Alexander, and he will find the most suitable house for you by the next day."
Arabella didn't probe, just told Diana to make the call herself.
"I saw the scar on Victoria's belly the other day, and Alexander is mad at me," Diana muttered.
"What? You know how to offend people."
Arabella was startled.
"Only what you see with your own eyes is real, Mom. Have you seen the scar on Victoria's belly?"
"Yes, I have."
"How did you see it? Alexander doesn't allow anyone to see it."
Diana was puzzled.
She thought she was the only one in the family who had seen it.
"Victoria's wound hurt a lot, so I took a look. It's not a big deal." Arabella replied.
When they first met, Victoria was in pain, so Arabella examined her.
It was a very ordinary thing in their eyes.
"This is not a big deal? Alexander almost killed me."
Diana was heartbroken.
"Diana, it's because you used the wrong method."
Eloise expressed with a smile.
Everyone was just concerned about Victoria and took a look at her wound. It was a very casual thing and wouldn't be appropriate.
But Diana insisted on checking if Victoria had given birth, which was unpleasant from the start.
"But you should be nicer to Victoria in the future. She has suffered enough in our family. If you bully her, she won't want to stay in this family anymore." Arabella reminded Diana.
"Let me be clear, I didn't bully her. I was just verifying the facts."
Diana felt she had no intention of bullying Victoria.
"Verifying what facts? Strawberry is obviously Alexander and Victoria's child. You know how much Strawberry looks like them."
"Mom, nowadays, surrogacy can also produce children who look like them."
"Victoria is not that kind of person."
Arabella patiently reminded Diana.
Diana didn't argue further. She later realized that Victoria was too naive to come up with such an advanced idea as surrogacy.
Before dinner, Diana drove to Alexander and Victoria's house.
The house was brightly lit and looked very cozy.
It was summer, and it was a bit hot outside, so she quickly went inside.
"Ms. Harrington is here."
Jenny greeted Diana as she approached.
"Are Alexander and Victoria here?"
Diana asked as she walked in.
The temperature became more comfortable as she walked further in, and Diana walked quickly.
"They just had dinner in the dining room."
"Great, I haven't eaten yet. Get me a set of utensils too."
Diana went straight to the dining room.
Victoria was serving soup and turned around when she heard the voice, "Diana."
"I'm here to ask Alexander for a house to stay in for a while, and to have dinner. Is that okay?"
"No problem."
Victoria understood and agreed, then continued to fill the bowl with soup and handed it to Alexander.
Alexander was sitting right next to her, saying he couldn't see clearly and needed her help.
Victoria always doubted him because he had no problem carrying her out of the hospital during the day.
Sometimes when she wasn't in the ward, he would get water for himself.
Once she even caught him doing it, and he said he burned his hand while getting water when she wasn't there. But how could there be no red mark on his hand if he had burned it?
"Where do you want the house?"
Alexander asked while drinking soup with a spoon.
"Near the university, of course, the closer, the better."
Diana took the utensils Jenny handed her and served herself soup, not letting Jenny help.
There were only the three of them in the dining room, so they could talk more freely while eating.
Alexander listened in confusion, "Why do you want to live there? Isn't home good?"
"Home is good, but I want a house there. The air is particularly good in the morning, perfect for running."
Diana explained.
Victoria recalled hearing the people next door in the hotel that day, thinking that the place was probably not just good for running.
Victoria's thoughts drifted until her hand was held. She came back to her senses, looked at the hand holding hers, and then at Alexander, "What's wrong?"
"Take Diana to see it. There's a building there, and I left a penthouse. Ask the people there to get the house opposite for Diana."
"Why not just give Diana the penthouse you left?"
Victoria thought that would be simpler.
"Yeah, just give me that house."
"We need that one," Alexander claimed.
Diana pouted and then lowered her head to drink the soup.
"What do we need it for?" Victoria asked curiously.
Diana also looked curiously at Alexander, who then slowly mentioned, "We'll talk about it later."
