It was eleven o'clock at night, on the top floor of Regal Retreat. Victoria had just managed to haul her suitcase down from upstairs, not even having a chance to catch her breath when the door suddenly sounded.
She had heard that he was at the club, so she had hurriedly packed her luggage while the nanny was asleep. But before she could even let go of her suitcase, the door was pushed open from outside. He was there, dressed in a clean white shirt and a pair of black trousers, walking towards her leisurely.
