Chapter 429 I Love You

Victoria was drunk, but her heart was still pounding, beating wildly.

The man she loved had just proposed to her. She giggled happily, almost foolishly, and extended her delicate finger. "Yes, I do."

She was so happy, so happy that it made some people a little scared.

Alexander watched her silly expression, torn between happiness and concern. She’d probably want to kill him when she sobered up tomorrow.

But they needed to have a decent proposal ceremony. His original intention was to have Olivia bring her up and let her have a little drink to set the mood, but he didn't expect her to drink this much.

But he still held her hand, then slowly slid the ring onto her ring finger.

Victoria suddenly exclaimed, then looked down at her ring finger, "Why is there another ring?"

Alexander's heart skipped a beat.

Did Victoria have amnesia from the alcohol?

But just as he put the ring on her, the lights in the room brightened, and a burst of loud cheers erupted along with falling confetti and balloons.

Victoria glanced up, entranced by the spectacle. Around them were his friends, some hotel staff, and even some media.

"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" the crowd chanted, a customary part of any proposal.

Seeing that Victoria hadn't come to her senses yet, he immediately responded to everyone's call and cupped her face.

Victoria heard her own anxious heartbeat again, but it was too late for anything. She was just being kissed, foolishly being kissed, and completely losing her ability to think.

"Victoria, say you love me," Alexander whispered, holding her face, gazing deeply into her eyes.

"I love you," she replied, staring at him with complete trust.

Alexander immediately smiled; what she said was without hesitation, and then he kissed her again.

Olivia, standing nearby, felt moved as she couldn't help but say to the person next to her. "Right now, if Alexander asked for Victoria's life, she'd probably give it to him."

Edward glanced at her and saw something fragile flickering in her eyes.

His hand slowly reached out, wanting to comfort her.

"Damn it, taking advantage of the situation, Alexander," Olivia said.

Edward quickly withdrew his hand, feeling absurd for trying to comfort her just now.

'She is Olivia. She is so strong, she doesn't need comfort from others.'

Edward looked up in the distance, but his buddy was still passionately kissing his girl.

Edward felt a pang of sadness.

Alexander, however, felt like he was floating in a pool of sweetness. He released Victoria's lips, her long lashes fluttering as she struggled to keep her eyes open. He asked softly, "Tired?"

Victoria foolishly nodded in agreement, and Alexander softly said, "Can I carry you to bed?"

"Okay." Victoria nodded again, then raised her hands instinctively.

Alexander felt a stir in his heart as he immediately lifted her.

Isabella and Sebastian stood in the corner, watching as Alexander picked up the drunken girl from the floor and took her away. Isabella couldn't help but say, "Alexander."

Suddenly, everyone turned to look in her direction.

Her wrist was grabbed, and Isabella exchanged glances with Sebastian.

They were here to witness a friend's proposal, not to cause trouble.

Isabella looked at Alexander again. "Wishing you... happiness."

She bit her lip, almost drawing blood, then suddenly fainted.

As she collapsed, Sebastian caught her just in time.

Alexander immediately glanced over at Benjamin and Edward.

"You guys go. We'll take care of things here."

Benjamin nodded seriously.

Alexander naturally wanted to carry Victoria away, not wanting his girl to fall asleep in the chaotic environment.

Alexander carried Victoria back to the bedroom upstairs. On the soft big bed, he gently laid her down. She was almost falling asleep in his arms, But when her head touched the pillow, she couldn't help but murmur, "Alexander."

"I'm here," Alexander replied.
