Chapter 844 He Said, I Will Make Her Pay for This

She couldn't bite it.

There wasn't much flesh on Alexander's back. She managed to grab his pajamas and bite a bit of flesh, but she didn't dare to bite too hard for fear of actually tearing off a piece.

So they were at a stalemate for a while, but she didn't hear him make a sound. She then let go.

Just as she was about to cry in frustration, Alexander, who had his back to her, suddenly called her, "Vicky."

Victoria slowly raised her eyes.

Alexander finally turned around and looked down at her.

But the calmness he exuded while facing away from her shattered instantly when he caught sight of her tear-filled eyes, stirring a tempest within him.

How could he bear to see her so upset?

He raised his hand to cup her face and softly asked, "Are you angry?"

"I hate you."

Victoria held back the urge to cry, making her words a bit unclear.

"I'll make her pay for it."

"I hate you."

She repeated the same words.

Alexander watched her tears fall into his palm as he held her face and immediately leaned in to kiss her.

But just as he was about to capture her lips, she sucked on his first.

Soon, he tasted fresh blood and knew it was his own.

But for the first time, he liked the taste and slowly captured her lips.

Victoria only let go when she was about to run out of breath, but soon, he pressed her down and kissed her again.

Early the next morning, the Harrington Group announced a major event: they would no longer cooperate with the Bryant Group.

Jerome found the guest room of the bar.

Alexander slowly dressed before going out and then met Jerome in the living room.

Jerome was already quite old but didn't even have the right to sit down.

Although Alexander was lazily sitting on the sofa, his natural kingly aura made it hard for Jerome to breathe.

Jerome knew he could no longer treat Alexander as a junior; he could only respectfully call him "Mr. Harrington."

"Daisy was also deceived by Isabella. As soon as the court opens today, Daisy will go to marry a boy her age. Can the Harrington Group's announcement be withdrawn?"

Jerome spoke cautiously to Alexander, even needing to carefully observe his expressions.

Alexander responded indifferently, "If it wasn't me in this room the night before last, you should know that making the Bryant Group lose the Harrington Group's business is a trivial matter."

"I know Mr. Harrington has already shown mercy, but once the Harrington Group's announcement is out, who would dare to cooperate with the Bryant Group in the future? The Bryant Group will only decline."

Jerome bowed his head and spoke again.

Alexander sneered, naturally placing his hands on his long legs, and looked at the cup on the table, "I believe with your ability, you can save the Bryant Group."

Jerome carefully glanced at Alexander again, knowing he wouldn't change his mind.

He wasn't confident he could save the Bryant Group, but he couldn't afford to offend Alexander. He didn't dare to entangle with him further.

Jerome had no choice but to nod and agree, "Well, thank you, Mr. Harrington, for your mercy."

Jerome felt extremely humble but had to endure it. Before leaving, he thought for a moment and asked, "Should I have Daisy apologize to Mrs. Harrington?"

"No need," Alexander responded indifferently.

"Okay, then I won't disturb you."

Jerome turned and left.

Alexander sighed deeply.

When Alexander went upstairs again, Victoria had already changed her clothes but walked strangely.

The effects of the drug on her body probably hadn't worn off.

Last night, she couldn't help but moan when he barely touched her, but he had tried to be gentle.

Victoria looked at him and lowered her head, walking slowly along the wall, not wanting to pay him any attention.

Alexander smiled helplessly, took a few long strides toward her, and directly picked her up from the ground, "Since I caused this, I'll be your legs until you recover."

His words were both generous and reassuring.

But Victoria felt an indescribable discomfort looking at him.

She blamed him in her heart, though she was angrier at Daisy's actions.

"Jerome told me Daisy will get her marriage certificate this morning."

Victoria was stunned and then looked up at him.

Alexander smiled and met her gaze, "Do you feel better now?"

"But you might not feel good about it, right?"

Victoria retorted, looking at him.

"Anyway, I think it's great. I just want to know if my dear is no longer upset."

"Stop calling me dear. I am going to separate from you."

Victoria spoke slowly.

But thinking about how she was in pain and unsatisfied last night made her feel deeply ashamed.

"I'm afraid you won't be able to leave me anytime soon."

"I want to stay by myself tonight."

She immediately said upon hearing his teasing words.

Alexander looked at her and smiled, deliberately saying, "I'm afraid you'll feel lonely at night."

"None of your business."

"But I still need to help you apply the medicine tonight."

Victoria was so angry she took a deep breath, wanting to strangle him to shut him up.

But she had no strength and could only keep quiet to avoid being rebutted by him again.

"You've lost weight from exhaustion."

Alexander suddenly said.

Victoria blushed and finally couldn't help but look up at him. 'Is he always staring at me?'

She raised her hand to cover his eyes, "Can you stop talking?"

"I'm afraid if I don't show enough concern, you'll think I have another woman."

Alexander continued to explain calmly.

Victoria felt his face was a bit cool while her palm was sweating.

She didn't want to make his face look bad, so she quickly removed her hand and lowered her head, "Let's go back quickly; Grandma has urged us several times."

"Okay."

Alexander agreed.

But unexpectedly, just as they stepped out of the bar, Daisy arrived.

Daisy was heartbroken. Seeing Alexander carrying Victoria out, she knew her plan would backfire.

But their relationship was so good; why wouldn't they let her go?

Did she have to marry another man?

Getting married casually was something Daisy couldn't do.

Since it was morning, there weren't many people at the bar entrance.

But when Daisy suddenly rushed over, the nearby staff were still startled.

Alexander, holding Victoria, stood by the car and sighed. He opened the car roof and placed Victoria inside, then walked to the driver's seat.

Alexander helped Victoria fasten her seatbelt, and Victoria just sat in the passenger seat, silently watching Daisy.

Daisy raised her head, "I was used by Isabella. I know I almost caused a disaster, but you're fine, right? Please, don't make me marry someone I don't like, okay?"
