Chapter 621 He's Here Again

When Victoria was pressed against the wall behind the door, she suddenly found it hard to breathe.

Alexander's deep blue eyes bore into her,, and then her skirt slipped right off her body.

"Alexander, don't..."

"Don't move." Alexander's voice trembled with a deep tone.

Victoria suddenly froze, not daring to make a sound.

He stared directly at her injured spot, trying to control his rough breathing. But eventually, he couldn't help but ask a trembling voice, "Does it hurt?"

Tears welled up in Victoria's eyes as she lowered her head, akin to a child who felt guilty for having done something wrong. She whispered, "Not anymore."

Alexander couldn't imagine how she felt when she was hurt by that thief, only feeling immense guilt as his thumb gently brushed below her scar.

Victoria's skin shivered from his touch, but Alexander kept staring at that spot.

"When will you finally unfold your true feelings towards me?" he couldn't help but ask her.

However, Victoria couldn't even lift her eyes, let alone unfold herself to him.

Alexander couldn't resist kissing her on the lips. Victoria instinctively tried to avoid it, but he held the back of her neck and kissed her firmly.

Victoria only felt a cool minty sensation between her lips and teeth, realizing she had no choice but to tilt her head back and accept his kiss.

But soon, her feet left the floor again.

Victoria, scared, pressed her hands against his shoulders, thinking he was going to throw her down. However, he just kissed her from her neck all the way to her injured side.

He really didn't want to deal with her. But Alexander couldn't control himself.

He couldn't pretend it didn't hurt, nor could he pretend he didn't care.

Victoria suddenly couldn't see anything clearly, her mind going blank.

On the big bed, Alexander propped himself up in front of her, taking off his clothes and immediately commanding her, "Say you love me."

Victoria instinctively grabbed the blanket, but before she could cover her chest, he pulled it away.

On the big bed, only the two of them remained, naked.

Victoria's hands were on her chest, and her eyes were full of uncertain panic. "Alexander..."

"Say you love me, and only me forever," Alexander whispered as he kissed her, the intensity of their kisses growing with each passing moment

Victoria felt like she was being thrown into the clouds again, but she still couldn't say those words.

She even wanted to wrap herself up, the tighter the better, so she would feel a bit safer.

Alexander said again, "Victoria, say you love me, and say you never planned to leave me."

He was forceful, his thrusts becoming more intense, and his demands more excessive.

But she just couldn't say it.

Even if she was exhausted and covered in sweat, she couldn't say it.

"Victoria," Alexander called out.

Witnessing the distress in his expression, Victoria instinctively cradled his face in her hands, tilting her head upward to meet his lips in a tender and comforting kiss.

Alexander, at his limit, whispered in disappointment on her shoulder, "Even if you lie to me, it's fine."

——

In the evening, at the entrance of the Frosty Summit Hotel, Victoria and Olivia got out of a car and then stopped when they heard a familiar voice.

"Last night I was drinking with your boss at the club, and now you're telling me I can't go in? Do you not want to work here anymore?" Isabella and a friend of similar age were standing at the entrance, arguing with the staff.

Olivia listened and couldn't help but quietly ask Victoria, "Wasn't your husband with you last night?"

Victoria just silently watched Isabella, thinking, 'Yes, he did go drinking with that woman last night. But why is Isabella being stopped at the door?'

"Get your manager out here, I want to talk to him." Isabella rolled her eyes at the staff, then turned and saw Victoria and Olivia, her anger suddenly doubling.

"Let's go in," Victoria said calmly to Olivia.

"Okay," Olivia agreed, linking arms with her and walking inside.

But Isabella suddenly called out, "Victoria."

Victoria stopped, and Olivia stopped too.

Isabella stepped forward but was quickly blocked by Frank who ran over.

Isabella glanced at the suddenly appearing Frank, then at Victoria behind him. "You should know you've fallen out of favor, right? Last night, even though you just got back, Alexander still went out drinking with us."

"Isabella, don't go too far." Olivia immediately turned and glared at her, then said, "Get this woman out of here."

The staff immediately moved to escort Isabella out.

But Isabella didn't feel so bad. She couldn't get in for a while, but she wouldn't let Victoria have it easy either.

If Victoria knew she drank with Alexander last night, she'd be furious.

Victoria's calm demeanor was just an act.

Isabella just couldn't understand why Victoria always got away with it.

Frank was really in the way.

Frank followed Victoria and Olivia inside. While they ate, Frank sat at a separate table with very simple dishes.

Olivia and Victoria sat at the best spot in the restaurant with a sea view. Olivia looked at Frank and asked Victoria, "Is he always with you now?"

"Yes, he saved me a few days ago." Victoria glanced at Frank.

If it weren't for him, she might be dead.

"Alexander found such a capable person to be your bodyguard. He cares about you so much," Olivia said.

Victoria listened and sighed helplessly at the mention of Alexander.

After ordering, Victoria said, "I don't understand him."

"Why do you say that?" Olivia was puzzled.

"I don't know what he's thinking," Victoria said again.

Olivia listened, thinking about Isabella saying she drank with Alexander last night, feeling a bit annoyed but still reminded, "Don't let petty people stir things up. Maybe Isabella followed him and then approached your husband herself?"

"But he's Alexander," Victoria muttered to herself.

"Forget about that. Let's discuss our company's matters first. I need to go over this year's financial situation with you," Olivia said.

After dinner, it was past 9 PM. Victoria held a wine glass, looking out the window at the sea view, until someone suddenly sat at their table, bringing her back to reality.

As Victoria looked up and discovered that it was Adrian, her expression transformed into one of pleasant surprise. "What brings you here?" she inquired curiously.

"Meeting a producer," Adrian explained, then greeted Olivia, "Ms. Baker, long time no see."

"We just saw each other at your brother and Victoria's wedding. Do you have a crush on me? Is that why it feels like a long time?" Olivia joked.

Adrian played along, smiling as if amused, then couldn't help but look at Victoria. "You look exhausted."

"Do I?"

"She got stabbed on a business trip. Of course, she looks exhausted." Before Victoria could react, Olivia had already said it.

"Where were you stabbed? How are you now?" Adrian immediately moved in front of Victoria, holding her shoulders and examining her seriously.

"I'm sitting here drinking and enjoying the view, so of course, I'm..."

Victoria hurried to explain seeing his concern, but before she could finish, a familiar figure with long strides and an imposing presence approached her.
