Chapter 500 Does This Prove My Innocence?

Time ticked by in the vast mansion. Alexander and Victoria stood still at the doorway.

"Even if you can't do it, it's okay. Just don't ever again..." Victoria began.

"Okay, I promise," Alexander cut in before she could finish.

"What? You agree?" Victoria was stunned.

She thought, 'He actually agreed? How could he? He's so used to everyone obeying him, and I made such audacious request. Yet, he agreed?'

"Yes, I agreed. Does this prove my innocence?" Alexander asked.

"What?" Victoria was taken aback.

Looking at Alexander's serious expression, everything felt unreal.

She had even prepared an excuse to leave. How could he agree?

He didn't move an inch when Isabella hugged and kissed him, clearly enjoying it, yet he agreed to let Isabella leave?

"That was really an accident," he added.

Seeing Alexander explain again, Victoria froze, speechless.

She lowered her head, trying to understand, and could only look at him, searching his eyes.

"I don't want to shirk responsibility. But I swear, if I have even the slightest romantic feeling for Isabella, may I never be able to be a father again. Now, can you believe me?"

Victoria even wondered if Alexander had a child outside. Otherwise, how could he curse himself so easily?

"If you still can't believe me, Victoria, I'll be really disappointed," Alexander said and walked inside.

Victoria stood there, watching him walk away. After a few seconds, she instinctively turned around.

She realized, 'I'm still at the door, and it seemed he didn't care about me.'

She raised her hand, slowly gripping the doorknob, and turned it.

"Victoria, dare you take a step?" Alexander warned.

"But the door is open," Victoria mumbled to herself, then bolted.

Alexander laughed in anger. He didn't expect that after expressing his disappointment, she still dared to escape.

He thought, 'She just loves to run, huh?'

Victoria ran to the elevator, opened it, and darted inside, pressing the button.

But with a loud sound...

Victoria saw a hand gripping the elevator door, her heart tightening in fear. "I want to go home."

"I agreed to everything, and you say you want to go home?" Alexander stepped in, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her out.

"Alexander, I was joking," Victoria whispered.

"Joking?" Alexander stopped and pinned her against the wall.

Victoria held her breath, her heels pressed against the baseboard, her whole body against the wall.

She was too nervous to breathe but still tried to slip out from under his arm.

Alexander immediately lowered himself, blocking her at chest level.

With the space in his arms, she couldn't escape.

Victoria smiled guiltily and softly asked, "Will you really ask Isabella to move out of Regal Retreat?"

She had no strength left. She thought, 'He may be just agreeing for fun. After all, he promised me so many things before, but none of them were fulfilled.'

"I can call Isabella right now. However, will you immediately give the Harrington Group a future?"

Future? Children?

She couldn't tell who was giving whom a gift anymore.

"Can I think about it?" Victoria's voice grew softer and softer.

She could only be more and more tactful and submissive.

"Does this count as giving in to you?" Alexander suddenly asked Victoria.

His voice was so low that it took her a while to react.

Victoria nodded. "Yes."

She thought, 'Will Alexander really give in to me once?'

"Okay," Alexander agreed.

"Thank you." Victoria breathed a sigh of relief and quickly thanked him.

Seeing her smile so obsequiously, Alexander couldn't help but ask softly, "Will you move in after Isabella leaves?"

"What?" Victoria froze. She hadn't thought of that. She just really hated Isabella living there.

"Move in with me, okay? Anyone you don't like, you can ask them to leave. It'll just be the two of us," Alexander said seriously.

"No, you mustn't do that. I just hate Isabella. Can I hate her?" Victoria was afraid Alexander would be unhappy if she was too blunt.

It was an involuntary concern.

Alexander smiled and said softly, "What if I want to bully you again?"

Victoria's legs went weak with fear, and she immediately pressed her hands against the wall behind her. At the same time, a strong arm wrapped around her waist.

"You're so weak. If we make love, you won't be able to get out of bed," Alexander teased.

Victoria didn't understand.

Under his imposing presence, she couldn't think rationally.

Ever since he agreed to let Isabella move out, she felt like she was in an unreal world.

Alexander had given Victoria divorce papers, thinking Isabella was pregnant with his child. But now, he was willing to kick Isabella out of Regal Retreat for Victoria.

It was too unreal.

When her face was cupped, Victoria hadn't even snapped out of it. It wasn't until her lips were kissed twice that she suddenly woke up. Just as she wanted to push Alexander away, she realized her hands were still against the wall, unable to move.

Alexander suddenly kissed her deeply, tasting her lips gently.

He recalled her in Victoria's wedding dress again.

He thought, 'This is my woman.'

Alexander couldn't help but wrap his arms around Victoria's waist, making her stand up.

He whispered, "Hold me."

Victoria finally didn't have to support herself against the wall to stand. Instinctively, she pressed against his chest and slowly moved upward.

When Alexander felt her embrace, he suddenly kissed her more passionately.

He couldn't wait any longer for those gentle kisses. He wanted more, not just this kiss.

His lips and tongue moved from her lips downwards, dominantly invading her neck.

Her phone rang in her bag, and Victoria instantly opened her eyes, quickly letting go of him. "Alexander, stop."

Alexander stopped, moving away from her neck.

In the bright hallway, the thick layer of ambiguity slowly faded, and Alexander's gaze attacked Victoria again.

"Let me answer the phone first," Victoria said.

"Okay." Alexander nodded.

He gave her a little space, but his hand still held her waist.

Victoria's face was flushed, and she barely kept her composure as she looked for her phone and answered it. "Hello? This is Victoria."

"Hello, this is Starlight Media. We have something we need to confirm with you," said the voice on the phone.

"What is it?" Victoria asked.

"We have a photo and article about your husband and Isabella trying on wedding dresses. We want to confirm if it's true."

"Wait, I'll call you back later," Victoria said.

Victoria listened to the other party, slowly raised her eyes to look at Alexander, and then hung up.

"Who was it?" Alexander asked.

"Starlight Media. They claim to have photos and an article about you trying on wedding dresses with Isabella this afternoon and want confirmation," Victoria reported. "Did you visit Isabella this afternoon, or was it me?""

"Of course, it was you," Alexander said.

"Then can I tell them it was a coincidence orchestrated by someone?"
