Chapter 850 Warmed Her Heart

"Do you have any evidence?"

"The only evidence is that she went to Elysium Country for a year."

Diana thought, 'Alexander is so pitiful.'

'Victoria must have stolen Alexander's sperm and gone abroad for surrogacy.'

'Alexander is probably still being deceived by Victoria.'

'Victoria is so vicious, using such means to maintain her marriage with Alexander.'

'After all, a prestigious family like the Harringtons has too many women trying to get in, and Victoria is no different.'

Diana had heard some things about Victoria from the elders these past few days. She initially felt some pity for Victoria, but now she realized she was being overly sympathetic.

She didn't consider herself a very sympathetic person; she just wanted to live her life well. Of course, her family was still the ones she wanted to protect.

Diana went to the club to find Benjamin that evening. After hearing her words, Benjamin just smiled and said, "Surrogacy? How is that possible?"

"Then was it fake that she went to Elysium Country for a whole year?"

"Don't you know why she left?"

Benjamin was curious about this.

"My mom said it was because Alexander took a knife for Isabella."

"That's the truth, don't you believe it?"

"Alexander does treat Isabella differently. Isabella isn't a good woman either, but this only further explains why Victoria would go abroad for surrogacy."

"What?"

"She was afraid Alexander wouldn't forget Isabella and would divorce her, so she went for surrogacy. Alexander wanted a daughter, so she immediately had a girl to tie Alexander down to continue enjoying her days in the Harrington family."

"What kind of twisted logic is that?"Benjamin asked her.

"I'm telling you, in these years I've been out, I've seen all kinds of people. There's another possibility: Victoria isn't doing this for wealth and luxury but to get revenge on our family."

"What?"

"Her parents died in a car accident on their way to my grandmother's birthday party, so she hates our family. She deliberately went for surrogacy to blackmail our family."

"Blackmail?"

"Yes, she already had the child. If Alexander divorces her, what would people think of our Harrington family?"

Benjamin frowned, not expecting Diana to hate Victoria so much.

As Diana spoke, she felt upset, thinking Alexander was too pitiful to encounter someone as scheming as Victoria.

"These are all your speculations. You'd better not mention them to Alexander."

"I know. He doesn't want me to speak ill of Victoria, so I came to discuss it with you. You're Alexander's friend; you wouldn't just watch him be deceived by her, would you?"Diana asked.

"I won't help him."

Diana was shocked. 'Had Victoria even bought off Benjamin?'

"Diana, Alexander isn't a kid. His discernment is much stronger than the average person."

"I understand what you mean. He is very shrewd in business, but in matters of the heart, I think he's an idiot."

Diana explained.

Benjamin smiled helplessly until he received a message from Tessa. After reading it, he said, "I have to go."

"Whenever Tessa calls, you go. Don't you think you're being a bit too forward?"

"I don't mind."

"But your families are enemies."

"I don't care."

Benjamin was about to leave but thought for a moment and reminded her, "Victoria is exactly what she appears to be. Don't overcomplicate things. We're all adults who have been through a lot."

"If you marry Tessa, I'll ruin it."

"Goodbye."

Benjamin was unmoved and left.

Diana was left stunned on the sofa.

'Victoria is terrifying. Her pitiful appearance has deceived everyone.'

Thinking this, Diana left the club and drove straight to Rockland Street.

What she didn't expect was to see Alexander's car there after sneaking in.

And Alexander was sleeping in the car.

Her heart sank, and she gently knocked on his car window.

Alexander opened his eyes, surprised to see her, but still rolled down the window. "Why are you here?"

"Do you sleep in the car every night?"

"Diana, please go home and stay with our parents. Don't go looking for her."

"Victoria told me she wants to divorce you and asked me to help her."

"What?"

"I know she's just trying to win my favor, but Alexander, you should divorce her. There are plenty of good girls in the world waiting for you. Why do you need her?"

"What's wrong?"

Alexander asked indifferently.

"She's fake. The more you can't leave her, the colder she gets. She's really bad."

"So you admit that you were clinging to me at Metro House the other day because you and Victoria conspired?"

Diana was immediately stunned.

She hadn't said that, had she?

But Alexander looked as if everything was clear. She shook her head vigorously and said, "I'm not talking to you anymore. I'm going to see Victoria."

"Stop."

Alexander's sudden voice made Diana freeze. She had always been in awe of Alexander's authority.

Alexander got out of the car, hands in his pockets, looking at her helplessly. "Didi, don't hurt her."

"What?"

Diana heard Alexander's serious tone and saw the reluctance in his eyes, feeling a pang of sadness.

"She's been through enough. I don't want anyone to put her through any more pain, especially you, my dear sister."

Alexander spoke to her seriously.

It was a request, a plea, and an undeniable warning.

Diana, however, asked him sadly, "Do you care about her that much? Even if she doesn't love you at all?"

"Yes."

With just that one word, Diana turned and left in sorrow.

After Diana left, Alexander looked up at the bright window.

'Victoria should still be awake, right?'

Alexander stayed downstairs for a while longer before returning to his car.

Victoria stood by the window, watching his car parked in the front lot. She didn't understand Alexander's persistence.

Whenever anyone talked to her about her and Alexander's love, she didn't have much confidence.

True love should be about being willing to give everything for that person.

But they couldn't, and they were both very selfish.

It wasn't until Strawberry moved on the bed that Victoria returned to bed.

The wind was still howling outside, but strawberry gradually warmed her heart.

She deleted Alexander's facial recognition and changed the password.

Alexander could only spend the night in the car.

But just past five in the morning, the car door opened again.

A string of numbers appeared in his mind, and he walked firmly towards the building.
