Chapter 259 He Appeared at the Doorstep of Her Home in Country M
The task of installation was swiftly concluded. Alexander, having paid the final installment, received the closing bill from the contractor.

Within the antiquated walls of the Harrington family's old mansion.
Before her departure in the early morning, Arabella made an unexpected detour to the living room. She addressed Alexander's grandparents, who were engaged in their morning tea ritual, "I suspect Alexander is going to Country M."
"What could you possibly mean by that?" Madam's interest was piqued.
"He asked for Victoria's address in Country M," Arabella responded, her words shrouded in mystery, but her eyes sparkled with unmistakable delight.
"Ah, that must be it. That boy has finally pieced it together," Madam echoed Arabella's joy.
Alexander's grandfather remained silent, yet his face radiated satisfaction. They all liked Victoria. If Alexander really went to Country M to bring Victoria back, everyone would be happy.
After Arabella left, Madam turned to her husband and said, "I knew Alex harbored feelings for Vicky."
"Um," Alexander's grandfather responded, sipping his tea as usual.
Madam continued happily, "If Vicky sees Alexander, she will definitely be touched. Perhaps they might even reconcile."
"Um," Alexander's grandfather repeated his previous response.
Madam, not content with his lack of input, pressed on, "Can't you contribute more to the conversation? This concerns Alex's lifelong happiness."
"Ah, he only asked for an address, he didn't say he was going," Alexander's grandfather explained.
"Humph, he is definitely going, and maybe... they could even give us a great-grandchild," Madam mused, growing happier as she imagined it. She hoped Alexander would go to Country M to find Victoria. Otherwise...
"I'm not so sure if they're even together. Don't get too excited," Alexander's grandfather warned.
"So what? There have been cases of getting lucky on the first try. Besides, Alexander is in prime physical condition, he seems like the type to hit the mark on his first try," Madam retorted, visibly irked by her husband's negativity.
"Enough, let it rest," Alexander's grandfather finally lost his patience.
"Hmph, there's no one else here anyway," Madam dismissed his concerns and resumed her daydream of becoming a great-grandparent.
That night in City A, a torrential downpour began, but the skies above the plane's trajectory remained clear.

In Country M, at 8 p.m.
A black Lincoln was parked outside a villa.
The residence was situated in a high-end neighborhood, in close proximity to the university. The surrounding houses were scattered, but the view was undoubtedly picturesque. The house was illuminated from within, and two girls and a boy were gathered by the French windows. One of them was particularly enchanting.
The four of them gathered on a sofa, engrossed in a card game, their attention diverted from the television.
Victoria's phone chimed, but she hadn't yet had the opportunity to check it. The sound of the door opening drew the attention of the four people sitting on the carpet, their gazes shifting towards the entrance.
"I'll answer the door," Victoria volunteered, rising from her seat. She assumed it was just a classmate. Her peers were aware of her return and had come to visit, save for one who had been delayed.
---
The evening breeze was warm. The door was pushed open from the inside. Victoria hadn't yet raised her gaze, but she was first greeted by a warm gust of wind, carrying with it a scent reminiscent of City A.
Victoria hesitated, not daring to look up, half-convinced she was dreaming. Her eyes welled up, and through her blurred vision, she saw...
A man, clutching his suit jacket tightly, a ring adorning his hand. She stood there, frozen in place behind the door, while Alexander quietly held onto the doorknob.
"It's been a while, Vicky," he greeted her, his voice a seductive whisper.
